Wanted to try a new Indian place we hadn't been to, and are very glad we chose Mint. I had read a review of their Bandar buns in a magazine, and that's what led me to choose Mint The buns were good, but I wouldn't order them again. Also started with the Mint salad. Very large portion and refreshing, but again, I wouldn't order it again. We ordered it because we thought there would be mint in there, but it's just the name of the restaurant! Duh. The rest of the meal was excellent. At our server's recommendation, we tried the chicken karahi, and it was fantastic. We always get chicken tikka masala as well, and their version is solid. And the yellow dal tadka and garlic naan were probably the best I've ever had. Ended with a very nice chai. The restaurant is attractive, service was friendly, and there's plenty of parking. Good job.

I went again and dined in. The restaurant is beautiful. The service is great. It was packed even on a Tuesday night! We ordered a lot. The shrimp curry was good. The black dhal was OK. We ordered the kharai lamb. It was a little too salty for me. The highlight was the chicken tikka masala, of course. Their garlic naan is great. The portions are pretty small. We tried the falooda for dessert and that was just ok. Overall, I like the food, ambiance and service.

So really nice place actually a good bit closer to me than the Khan Saab in Fullerton. From my understanding, they are the same ownership and I definitely see the similarities. That being said, there are some differences too, but they're both really good. Now the thing that I loved the most from what I ordered was by far the goat cheese kulcha. The bit of goat cheese inside mixed with the flavor of the truffle on the top is just absolutely delicious. Next thing would be the bandar bun which is super buttery and really, really delicious too. It comes with a mango chutney as well if you're interested in dipping in that. I would say that chicken was decent however I would say it's also a little bit hard to get into just because there's a lot of bone around it so it was kind of a difficult one to try to share. I would probably refrain from getting that one if you're interested in sharing. All of the naan options are really good. We actually ordered every single kind of naan and they're perfect. The servers are attentive and very friendly. Mocktails are also great here too. The drinks and food do take time to come out though so don't come here if you are in a rush to get in and out. Otherwise, great location and great food.

Basmati rice garlic naan and tandoori chicken

Definitely satisfied my craving for Indian food! The chicken tikki masala and tandoori chicken were both pretty tasty. Also got the basmati rice, garlic naan, and the samosa chaat. The interior has a nice ambiance and there's plenty of seats. The service was spotty, admittedly. We barely saw our server throughout our stay and had to ask for water twice. Their food is pretty pricy and the portions aren't too generous. All in all, the quality is there so if you're just going for good tasting Indian food above all else, I'd recommend it.

Just get the Goat Cheese Kulcha. It's worth it. My boyfriend said it's the best thing he's ever eaten and I agree. Everything else was also fantastic. We'll be back. Pictured: paneer, tikka masala, goat cheese kulcha, malai naan, rice, mango lassi, Honey Dew Me Good service and safe if you have food allergies. Really nice atmosphere.

I visited Mint on a Sunday evening with my family. Parking was very easy, & the restaurant had a great ambiance. A friend had recommended mint to me and mentioned that it isn't new, but that it recently went through a reconstruction. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. We shared the basmati rice, garlic naan, plain naan, & samosa chaat for the table. I ordered the chicken tikka masala, my mom got the chicken biryani, my sister tried the butter chicken, & my dad ordered the chicken curry. The only minor note I had was that the samosa chaat had slightly cooled down by the time we got it, but other than that, everything was delicious, & we were very full by the end of our meal. We'll definitely be visiting again.

Been wanting to try out this place and it was lovely! A good place to go to if you're looking for a bit more bit more high end vibe of Indian dishes. Service was amazing and our waiter answered all questions I had. I would love to go back to try more dishes! :)

Mint is a pleasant surprise, hidden inside an unassuming, if not a bit tired strip mall in Laguna Hills. It has nice, contemporary Indian decor and traditional, as well as non/traditional Indian food. Our server Ahad was great and provided recommendations and attentive service. It should be noted that the bar is dry, serving only non-alcoholic drinks. The purple haze cocktail is delicious and pretty (though we would have loved to try it with booze ) and the food was full of wonderful Indian flavors and spices.

This modern Pakistani food is on point! The Dani puri and samosa (pictured) were delicious. I've never had this type of samosa, it's loaded with yummy stuff. I'm glad they can do different spice levels. But event with 'no spicy' the samosa still had a kick, which was fine because the puri didn't. The chicken tandoori was also spiced right and was delicious as was the garlic naan. The service was also friendly, but some of these young-ins need a bit of basic table waiting training. I also enjoyed the contemporary decor. I would definitely return. Good to know: food is Indian and Pakistani, they don't serve alcohol, has some 'mocktail' options. Make reservations if you can as it was very busy even on a weekday.

Delicious meal! Started with dahi puri and samosa chaat - both were nice, light, tasty appetizers. For entrees, we had palak paneer and chicken tikka masala - both were excellent. The palak paneer was less heavy than others that we've had but in a good way- felt healthier but still very flavorful. The garlic naan was fresh and nicely garlicky. The mango lassis were tasty. Service was efficient. Nicely decorated space

Came here on a Monday night to have some Indian food for Diwali. The interior is really pretty and the servers were so nice and welcoming. We tried the dahi puri, garlic naan, palak paneer, and dal makhani. All were absolutely delicious, with my favs being the naan and paneer. Of all the Indian spots I've tried thus far in OC, this one has got to be the top one.

Our party of seven celebrated a birthday here on a Saturday afternoon. It was the perfect spot. We met at 2:00, when Mint opened. During our two hours of dining, there were only a few others in the restaurant. This made it very easy for all of us to talk and hear each other. We chose to go family style and ordered a variety of dishes. My two favorites were the okra and buttered chicken. Our server was attentive, but not hovering over us. Will I return here? Absolutely.

The absolute best Indian cuisine I've ever had--rich, vibrant, and incredibly flavorful. The ambiance is elegant and inviting, with excellent service throughout. The drinks are exceptional as well. Although they don't serve alcohol, you honestly don't miss it at all. The non-alcoholic drinks are that good. I will definitely be coming back again and again.

I'd driven past it plenty of times on the way to the dog groomer and never once felt compelled to stop. Friday night changed that. We were hungry, but not sit-down-for-two-hours hungry. We wanted something better than fast food, but not some overproduced evening of cocktails and self-importance. We wanted food worth getting out of the car for. Rangeen hit that mark beautifully. Getting my wife on board took some work. She's not a curry person. But a few online photos of fresh, vibrant salads were enough to win her over. Inside, the place still showed traces of whatever came before it, a blank quick-serve menu screen hanging awkwardly over the counter, like a relic from another life. But this was table service, and a perfectly comfortable one at that. There were maybe eight or nine tables, and one lone server holding down the front of house. Casual, older, thin, moving with purpose. She greeted us warmly, dropped menus, answered the phone, checked back often, kept the table tidy, and somehow managed to make the whole room feel cared for without a hint of drama. I went for the spicy mango chicken. My wife chose a healthy-looking salad with grilled sweet potatoes, nuts, and all the things I generally avoid unless someone smarter than me orders them first. We added naan, because not ordering naan would have been foolish. The food took a few minutes longer than the impatient part of your brain might expect. But then it arrived, and suddenly none of that mattered. My dish was excellent: nicely seasoned bite-sized pieces of chicken, rice, a fresh side salad, and a spicy sauce that pulled the whole thing together with real intention. And the plating, that was the surprise. This wasn't tossed on a plate like an afterthought from the spot next to the grocery store. It looked like someone actually gave a damn. And that, really, is what stays with you. Not just that the food was good, but that care had gone into it. The ingredients may not have been expensive, I say that as someone who owns restaurants and knows roughly what things cost, but value isn't about raw food cost. It's about what arrives at the table, how it's presented, and whether anybody in the building seems to care if you enjoy it. At $19, this was a steal. For about the price of a drive-thru burger meal, I got something thoughtful, well executed, and satisfying enough to remind me why local places like this matter. And to the party of four next to us who only left a five-dollar tip: do better.

Something that I cannot make, something that I've tried, yet the establishment still finds a way to give me a different and enjoyable experience. Boneless Chicken and Beef Koobideh Combo: One of the most dangerous things to order, as both things can either come out as dry, or start off as great, then dry up before you can finish. None of those scenarios happened here. The chicken was soft, juicy, seasoned very well, and it stayed that way. The beef koobideh had this smoky flavor profile, which is different from what I normally expect, and I liked it. Potato Boloni: I've never had boloni in my life, and the closest comparison I have is a Chinese or Korean pancake. The boloni had areas of spiciness, and I think it had room to go higher. It's definitely an appetizer, and I won't mind having it again. Service: There were only 2-3 occupied tables when we went. I think the staff had plenty of time to take our orders, give us water, and the food arrived within a reasonable time. Ambiance: You could tell that the restaurant was designed to host wedding receptions or larger parties in mind. Stage, lights, and a bunch of stuff that may be overwhelming for some. I didn't mind. Good food is all that matters.
