I have an old Honda Prelude that's been sitting in the garage unused for several years. The interior was moldy and possibly mouse or chipmunk infested. Marty and his crew did a masterful job restoring the interior to pristine condition. He also gave me a few hints on how to prevent rodents from getting into the car if it is unused for any length of time. Marty, the owner, is extremely personable and easy to deal with. I got lost driving out to his shop and he drove over to meet me and drove the car to his shop. (My daughter gave me a ride home.) The work was completed when he said it would be and the cost was quite reasonable. I found Marty at Mint Condition after having a couple painfully average detailing jobs, and I'm so glad I did because he did a fantastic job! I was looking for my car to be detailed so I could sell it and he made it look brand new! I almost wanted to keep the car after because it looked so good. He was able to clean all the dirt and grime from between the seats, stuff that other detail shops have left behind. He's not the cheapest but he's definitely not the most expensive in the area. I had a couple of scratches on my new car. I sent out a request for information to get a price for buffing them out. Marty from Mint Condition Detailing contacted me within an hour. I told him of the issue with my car. He suggested trying mineral spirits to see if it was a scratch or just paint transfer. I tried it but was hesitant to rub much. Instead, I decided to take it to their shop. Marty met me and was extremely pleasant. He grabbed a bottle of some clear liquid and rubbed out BOTH "scratches". It turned out it was just paint transfer. I offered to pay, but Marty refused and told me to remember him when I needed my car detailed. I live in a northwest suburb and feel it was well worth the drive. He was honest and treated me fairly. Customer service is fine. The guy I talked to on the phone and in person was personable and honest. The quality of my exterior detail did not meet my exceptions. After making it clear that I wanted the swirl marks on my black car addressed, they said on top of the $150 exterior detail fee it would be another $50 if they need to do a two-stage paint correction--I told them to do whatever they needed to do. Six hours later my car is ready and they only had to do the two-stage correction on my hood and liftgate so my total is $190. I show up, my car is outside in the rain but looks good so I pay and go home. First thing I notice in my car is that my floor mats were wet, then I remember with an exterior detail they vacuum the carpets (per their website). I look around and the carpets do not look vacuumed at all but they rinsed out my floor mats. The next morning I go look at my now dry and freshly detailed car and there are water marks everywhere; the car looked totally dirty again. This, I believe, is just the effect of sitting in the rain after using whatever wax they used. The photos I'm including are from the day after my detail and show the lack of attention to detail. There was leftover wax or buffing compound on almost every piece of plastic cladding and chrome molding. Judging from how long I had to wait for an appointment and how many cars where there when I dropped my car off, I would guess they were just trying to get through as many cars as possible that day and just didn't double check their work; quantity over quality. Ended up taking my car through a touchless car wash a couple of times to get it looking better. I took a gamble on this place, after reading their 50/50 mix of reviews, and got what I would consider a marginal/average experience. There is an improvement in the swirl marks but they're still noticeable. I definitely feel like I paid $190 for a $75-quality detail, which is a bummer. No hard feelings on these guys but would not recommend or come back. read more

Allow me to add another five star review to the mix. I've used Mint Condition only occasionally but each time their work was thorough and meticulous. My clear coat was restored to a brilliant shine and the depth of the finish was revealed. Tires glistened. Wheel wells and undercarriage were entirely free of road grime. Interior wiped clean, vacuumed and carpets shampooed. Well worn Weathertech liners looked brand new again. Leather seats were conditioned. They offer interior or exterior only options, combo int/ext service plus numerous ala carte options such a engine steam cleaning and scratch removal. Great people to work with including the owner. For the quality of service, prices are quite reasonable. Especially if you run across a discount offer or package deal. In short, if you need true detailing, not just a car wash, I can think of no better place to go. read more

I stumbled upon these guys when I found a Groupon offer for another establishment. Thank goodness for you Yelpers, as you not only saved me from making a mistake with an atrocious business, but you helped me to find these gents! Upon first email correspondence, and our follow up phone call, I knew I had made the right decision. Their customer service is impeccable! Everyone I interacted with, from the owner, to the manager, to several employees... they were all honest, informative, and friendly. Onward to more praise! This recent winter in MN was rough; so like many Minnesotans, I opted for a deep clean/detailing of my vehicle. These guys were booked up for the next month! Another good sign of an excellent establishment. In that time I decided to not only have the Complete Detailing done (includes cleaning of both interior and exterior) but to have them fix a few deep scratches as well. They recommended I take it in for them to have a look. My original communication was with the owner, who again was incredibly friendly and informative. The in-person meeting was with the manger, who maintains the same superb qualities of that of the owner. He provided an accurate worst-case-scenario estimate for the scratches, a detailed discussion as to what they can do to the scratches, and an updated estimate for the cleaning of my carpets. The carpets were three (3) years of collected dirt and grime, along with one (1) year worth of dog hair (dog died after that first year). I respected and appreciated the notification on the likelihood of an additional charge for the grimy carpets, and was happy to move forward with my appointment. I took a few before and after photos, but man do the photos not do their work justice, nor did I take enough of them. The car looks brand new. They were even able to remove stains on the interior from when I first purchased the vehicle! Oh and the exterior; many of the scratches are now near invisible if not fully gone! The total cost for their service was around $340 with tax, and the estimate prior to was $315 before tax! So accurate, so happy. The price includes $225 for the Complete Detail, $50 for the scratches (pricing can varies), $25 additional charge for grimy carpets, and $15 for vehicle pickup and drop-off (pricing varies). That vehicle pickup and drop-off option was key, as it allowed for my vehicle to be detailed while I was at work. And the gentleman who picked up my vehicle carried on with that same stellar customer service I have now grown accustomed to. I cannot provide enough accolades about this place. When I picked up the car, the floor mats were missing - found sitting on a table in the work area. Driver's seat was dirtier than before cleaning. The process they used appeared to draw the dirt to the surface. Rubbing compound drips on the rear bumper. Engine compartment cleaned but not thoroughly. It appears that no one either no one checked to see that the work was done properly, or the person who did check is sight impaired. They offered to clean the front seat again, but there's no way to tell if a wet seat is really clean. Spent an hour cleaning the seat myself, using Sonax and a soft brush, and it cleaned up nicely. Dirtied two white hand towels in the process. If you are particular about the results of a $225 interior/exterior cleaning, look elsewhere. read more

I chose this place based off of it's Yelp reviews (& was a little nervous because I've been burned by this method before) but their service was outstanding!!! When dropping off my vehicle, I was expecting to just hand my keys to the front desk and go, but the owner Marty actually came around and introduced himself. He shook my hand and remembered my name from our phone call. He asked if we could go check out my car quick before I left. He took the time to examine my whole car and even asked if there were any particular things I wanted them to pay special attention to. It's so rare these days to interact with an employee who is so personable. Let alone an owner! Marty is truly genuine and cares about making people happy. When I brought my car in, it was FILTHY. I mean it was in desperate need for a full blown int./ext. detail. I was almost embarrassed when Marty came around to look at it. Usually I try to clean it up beforehand but I didn't have time. When I came by later to pick it up, I was giddy! It was like a new car!!! I was so pleased that I asked them to run my card again so I could give a $50 tip. Well worth it! The thing that I'm most happy about was the level of communication I received from the guys on the phone for the quote to the guy that called me to verify everything they were doing to the guy that called me to tell me the truck was done. My truck is 10 years old and we just had our first winter here after moving from the socialist republic of California. I've been seeing Marty and his crew for 10 years. He is work is the best I have experienced. One of my current cars, a white original 30 yr-old Mazda 626, had some fading as its 1st owner had left it in the sun occasionally. I had told Marty that under no conditions was he or his team to take anything mechanical to the finish - hand wash and hand wax only. Marty assured me that, when he was done with what he wanted to do with the car, it would not only have no swirls/burns, but that he could bring out the shine and make it look almost new. He and I went back and forth on this, with me assuring him that I would very disappointed to see swirl marks and/or burns, and him assuring ME that when he was done with what he envisioned, I would be happy. Long story short, I have what appears to be a near-showroom fresh 30 yr old Mazda 626, and I could not be happier with the work he put into the car. I should also mention that he did the interior too, and it was as thorough as possible. I try to take good care of my beloved Camry, but I must admit that I after several years of parking outside, failure to wash and wax on a regular basis, and general wear and tear, my car was in desperate need of some TLC. I scheduled a full detailing from the crew at Mint Condition in the hopes that they could restore some of the shine that had worn off my wheels. They buffed, polished, scrubbed and shampooed every square inch of my vehicle and now it looks brand new - sparkly and clean!! Their garage is a little hard to find as it's tucked away in a business park, but so worth seeking out.
