Great atmosphere -- it's a cool building. We split the cheese tapenade appetizer followed by the tomato burrata salad (really tasty and a bit larger than I expected). I did an 8 oz filet which comes with slivered crisped mushrooms and a baked garlic bulb and gravy as a dipping sauce (both are on the side). My partner did the same salad but also had quinoa cakes -- a bit of an Asian preparation. He really enjoyed it. The menu is primarily steaks and seafood. I'm hoping they'll add a dish or two for vegetarians. I realized that if I were bringing business guests to the restaurant I'd want to make sure they can be accommodated. I visited on a recent business trip to Dearborn. Was a fantastic experience. Great atmosphere, over the top service! And the food was just top notch! I was with three others and we ordered several appetizers to share. Everything was unique and flavorful. The best part of the meal was the wagyu ribeye steak. I never experienced wagyu steak before but heard a lot about it. Although pricey, it was a genuinely unique steak experience and well worth it. Absolutely the best steak I have ever eaten, and I have experienced steaks at many of the finest steak restaurants out there. Wagyu just put it over the top. The flavor, the tenderness. Came here for the first time earlier this week, hosting a customer holiday lunch. Everyone seemed to enjoy and things were going well until I noticed a piece of masking tape or bag in my steak tips. I elected not to say anything due to the circumstances, but won't even returning. Shame! Service was pretty good though. read more

My first impression of this restaurant really blew me away. The drinks were made perfectly, my food was amazing and the service was impeccable. Ryan was my waiter and he made sure I had everything I needed. My food came fast and hot, cooked to perfection. I really love the staff, I looked around for 2 seconds because I needed a napkin and Kevin the cook came all the way around and brought it to me. Let's me start off with saying that the Decor and the high ceilings are beautiful. Such a nice place in the heart of West Dearborn. The appetizers were amazing. The smoked salmon, tuna poke and the shrimp cocktail were excellent. Only thing I recommend is that you order extra chips with them but besides that they were delicious. I had the 22 oz bone in ribeye that was dry-aged for 40 days and was HALAL. It was so delicious and the zip sauce was amazing also. I wish they would put some sort of bread in the table when sitting down because we asked if there was and there wasn't. Another thing I suggest is that there was no chicken dish for the dinner menu. My wife doesn't eat steak and isn't a fish person. Besides that everything was delicious. I think they need also add some steak toppings such a shrimp if you or a Oscar style maybe. This weekend I celebrated my birthday with six of my friends at Mint29. I was super excited to eat lamb chops and to drink and be merry!!! I thought I had picked a place where spending my hard-earned cash would be worth it and that I would be able to create great memories. Sadly, I was super disappointed by the service my friends and I received. For it to be my birthday just made it worse!!! We were seated right away which was great! However, our waiter Avery didn't even bring us water or take our drink order until 30 minutes after we were seated. I asked for ten jalapeño slices for each guest (the pickled ones) and they couldn't provide that and never gave an explanation why but, ok! So then I asked for olives. I was charged $1.50 per person for the olives that took forever to arrive at the table. On a Friday night, they had no Lamb even though they knew they ran out of it yesterday and that is their speciality on the menu. The mac and cheese was bland and that is being polite, extremely polite.Then everyone ordered a medium steak yet somehow a well done steak ended up at the table. I couldn't wait for a seat at the bar, I had to sit at a "communal" table with someone who didn't seem interested in having a guest. Restaurants need to be more sensitive to their customers needs; we're not always interested in participating in a dinner party. My husband received a gift card here for his birthday and we decided to tuck it away for our anniversary dinner. This place does not disappoint. The atmosphere, the service, the food - everything was on point. We started with the mussels in the white wine sauce, 4 raw oysters & the beef tips. The oysters were some of the best I've ever had, the mussels were perfectly cooked and the sauce was divine (PLEASE serve some bread with it because I could've drank that sauce out of a mug) & don't even get me started on the beef tips. The zip sauce they're served in is to die for. They're tossed together with wild mushrooms and topped with fried, crispy onions. My husband ordered the ribeye & I ordered the lamb lollipops. We specified that we'd like them cooked medium and they were done perfectly. We also ordered a side of mushrooms and a side of the au gratin potatoes. The portions of both were very generous for sides, so be sure to order some! The prices are higher than some other places, but your paying for quality here people and it doesn't disappoint. It was all worth every penny & Mint 29 will be a date night staple for us. I only managed to take one photo the entire meal because I was way too excited to dig in. Eat here. Every time (and I mean every single time) someone walks in and tries to get a table the Hostess says "Let me find out" and walks to the back of the restaurant stairs back at the restaurant for a long time and then comes back to podium to say "30 minutes". Every time the answer was 30 minutes. Servers seem slow and clueless. Probably not their fault because they obviously have not been trained by Mr. Blue jeans and sport coat (AKA Manager). The Manager guy looks like Kramer from Seinfeld and walks around just as clueless. She messed up the order and it took 30 minutes to get it corrected after we already waited 30 minutes for the first round of food. Everyone was done eating and the one person who didn't get her food wasn't even offered a side, soup, salad or app to hold her over while she waited. Finally tried this new Dearborn restaurant for lunch (did not realize they were even open for lunch) Arrived around 1:00 and the place was about ¾ full of mainly well dressed business people. We were seated at a high top by the window. Atmosphere is rustic and trendy, in an old bank building. Parking is free and readily available. We were given a carafe of water, and a lunch menu. Menu is small, but a good variety of options. I ordered the beet salad (at the server's recommendation for a vegetarian dish) and my companion ordered the Killer chicken sandwich. The menu says their chicken is "organic". While we were waiting for our food, we asked for the drink menu. A few minutes later, it arrived, but didn't include wine. We again flagged someone down to get the wine menu, and that took some time to arrive. Finally, after receiving all of the menus, we ordered wine. We did ask the server if there were any more menus we should see, and she said "no". Prices were not bad, most are $7 per glass and a decent pour. Glassware was fake Waterford, which was cute. Lunch arrived, very pretty presentation. Chicken sandwich was on a baguette, on a cutting board. Beet salad was a pile of shredded veggies and dressing, very tasty and too much for me to finish. The name should be something other than "beet salad", as it was pretty much a cole-slaw like salad topped with beets. We noticed other tables getting lots of attention from a man (possibly the owner) including offering hand towels to wash after eating. No one came to our table to greet us or check on us. Once our food was served, we had to flag someone down each time we needed something. When our server was there, she was very nice. But, no attempt to "connect" or get to know us. We are both long time Dearborn residents, and felt a bit like tourists in our own town! When we were ready for our bill, it was already split, which was nice. They do not provide change if you are paying cash, so everything is rounded off. If you pay with a card, their handheld computers suggest a tip amount for you. They offer happy hour Monday-Friday from 4-6 with 1/2 off drinks and apps. That would probably be a great option, depending on the service. Overall, atmosphere, food and value are a great addition to Dearborn. A tweak on the service would go a long way! read more

I had time to kill before flying out of DTW North Terminal and decided this would be my last meal from Michigan and it did not disappoint. Hands down one of the best steaks I have ever had anywhere in the USA. Perfect temperature, perfect tasty sear and the 40 day aged dry marinade is worth it. Everything was superb. Nina was our waitress, and let me tell you...she made sure everything was on time and perfected as well! The calamari was DELICIOUS. Upon the first bite we knew that this restaurant was a hit. When our filets arrived, they were cooked perfectly, medium throughout.
