    Buffalo wings

I came here with friends for dinner before a night out on the town. We didn't have a reservation, but got there around 5pm on a Thursday and were able to be seated right away. We made it in time for happy hour, so we were able to get half off craft beers, wine, and Tito's drinks, and they had $5 small plates available. For my meal, I went with wings (not a happy hour special) and the loaded fries (one of the $5 small plate options). They were both good! The waitress was attentive and nice, and our food was served quickly. It was a good spot to start our night!

    Bahn Mi Bowl

What a pleasant surprise! I went here to feed myself before the Yelpies and I didn't expect much but I saw a good segment on the food they had at the tavern and everything sounded good so I went. Everything I had was good from the drinks to the food. There was a good mix of items to choose from elevated food like the bahn mi bowl to regular bar food like the pretzels. The bahn mi bowl was super fresh with awesome pork belly and was better than anything I've had eating out in a while. The drinks were well made. The maple bacon old fashioned was different but strong. I recommend this place for sure if you're in Greektown and need a place for eats and drinks.

Really cool place to grab a drink. Food menu was unique which really pulled us in to staying. Turkey Burnt ends were good but the sliders and pretzel were average run of the mill.

Good food. Good atmosphere. Worth a try. We will be back . We didn't order much food. So I will update my post after my next visit here.

    Southwest Chicken Salad (special)

Lunchtime in the tavern?! Why not! Best lil Southwest Chicken Salad this side of the Mississippi! The spicy ranch is de-lish and packs a real kick. Warm marinated slices of chicken served on a bed of healthy, substantial greens.

Chicken sandwich from a set themed menu night - very good!

12/10 This place was amazing! We decided to attempt dinner and drinks before the Taylor swift concert 6/10/23 and didn't even know they were doing a whole swifty takeover! They played her music, had decorations, a themed menu! Honestly so smart I was so impressed. I love when places really just embrace stuff like this. The themed cocktail menu was amazing - the lavender haze drink was so good! The Taylor's version chicken sandwich was great too. The staff was incredible, really on top of the crowd and kept up great and all with smiles on and genuinely seemed in good moods! I know this was a very specific experience but I'd be comfortable still recommending this place in general!

Service was quick and everyone was super friendly! Food and drinks came out fast. Very reasonable price!

The Diner Burger/Smashburger is the Best!

We were there last night, a Monday night. I had the Diner Burger/Smashburger with fries, a cold draught beer, and their craft Manhattan cocktail for "dessert." I think they have the best smashburger in Detroit! The fries were served piping hot. Our bartender, Angel, was excellent. Not everything is open on Monday nights. I'm glad we went! The woodwork in this bar is phenomenal, too.

Great vibes. The bar is my favorite spot to sit after the game or while in Greek town. Small bar food menu available. Good cocktails.

We also tried the fried chicken muffaletta sandwich and burger with tots and crinkle fries. The chicken sandwich is really tasty if you like olives, which I do. It came out on a nice seeded bun freshly fried and hot. Yum. Hubby enjoyed the burger and added bacon - they have really nice thick sliced bacon. It was cooked perfectly with a nice soft bun. I'm pretty sure the fries and tots are just frozen and presented well - at $11 and $12 for those, you might just skip those and get the meatball parm sliders because they're seriously delicious. I plan to return just for those - they're the best thing on the menu. Homemade patties and sauce; top notch. But, the crinkle fries do come with this yummy homemade malted mayo as well as ketchup, and I really enjoyed that. The tots are dusted with a spicy salty seasoning which made them maybe a touch too salty. Both of those came out super hot and crispy though, which I definitely appreciate. Overall, a very tasty meal that had care put into it. The host and server were both very friendly and our service was perfect. It's a little pricey for bar food, but at least it's good bar food, and you can't beat the ambiance for sports. Solid.

The beer list online (which I reviewed to prepare myself) was not entirely accurate. Their beer list on the wall didn't really explain what anything was so for people, such as myself, from outside the area and unfamiliar with the local breweries it was a challenge. I can see how it would be fun to come here with a group.

Fair to say the Asian Chicken Salad is good, but not great. It's a massive portion with plenty of Napa cabbage and spinach, providing that much-needed crunch. However, the grilled chicken was a bit of a letdown--it really needed more flavor and seasoning to hold its own. The saving grace and clear highlight were the spiced cashews. They actually had some personality and stood out as the best part of the dish. It's a solid enough choice if you're looking to stay on the healthy side while hanging out in a sports bar, but it's not a "must-order. She's in poor health, and in the chaos of leaving home I forgot to bring something to wrap her nighttime medication in. Since TAP has turkey sandwiches on their menu, I explained that I was a hotel guest and asked if they could spare a small piece of turkey - just enough to wrap a pill in for an elderly dog upstairs. A kitchen worker (who was very nice, by the way) offered to check, but the chef refused outright. Not "this is against XYZ policy," not "we're too busy," just a flat no. I was standing right there for the entire exchange. Anyone genuinely suited to a hospitality role would have recognized this as an easy moment to generate some goodwill, but instead, the chef shut it down without a second thought. I spent a lot to stay at the MGM Grand Detroit Hotel, and this interaction left a genuinely negative impression of MGM overall. It made an already difficult day worse. I truly hope the individual who refused this request can one day recognize that hospitality is built on moments exactly like this.

We sat down and we waited for water for a while and then it took a while to get our order taken, which was already inconvenient. I could see that we were the inconvenience because the bartender was already cleaning up so we weren't getting as much attention as we could have gotten. Even though we didn't really want anything except to put in an order for food. The bartender acted like we were stopping him from working to close the bar, which I can understand. At the same time you're not supposed to let your customers know that you feel a way about them sitting down. The food came super late as well so that also was not really a good experience. It shouldn't take 30 minutes to get one pizza pie out of the oven especially when it's an empty restaurant, just about because everybody's about to leave so there wasn't a crowd. The only thing that I give 3 stars as a par for is just because the pizza was pretty good but for everything else I wasn't super pleased last time I was at home. It was opening day weekend the last time I was there and I am sure that everybody was taking a beating because downtown was so lively but at the same time you never let your customers know.
