A nice spot with a lineup of food trucks, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and something for everyone, from coffee and desserts to shawarma , sushi and burgers, perfect for big indecisive gatherings. Amo Sami will forever win me over whenever I see these trucks, and with lots of halal options, this place is an easy recommendation every time.

We've been wanting to visit for a while, I've been twice in the last few weeks. Cool concept, nice clean dining area inside, seating outside when it's nice. There are several eateries inside and a bunch of food trucks outside. The staff on our first visit was great, one guy came up to us and greeted us, then explained how ordering worked. So simple, you sit down, scan the QR code which takes you to all of the vendors menus, you order and pay online, and they bring the food to you. As we waited, I noticed how the staff working was delivering food, and clearing and cleaning tables very quickly. A manager named Ali, came up and talked to us for a few minutes. He asked if it was our first time and also explained how things work at the Canteen. Very personable guy and he had a hard working staff. The place was clean and really bright inside(probably too bright). There is a coffee & dessert place, a sushi place, bubble tea, and frozen custard inside, plus the food trucks outside featuring Italian, BBQ, burgers, chicken & waffles, Shawarma and more...

I really like this spot! I've tried items from a few of the food trucks and everything has been delicious and fresh. I was most skeptical of the sushi spot, but that even blew me away! The sushi burrito is amazing. The place is pretty large but still gets very crowded at times, but this is a good place to bring a large group. The service is also good and the food comes out fast.

Nami Sushi: on the left Tomorokoshi corn - on the right Omusubi

This was such a cool spot to try a variety of great food! It is laid out like a food hall and once you sit at a table you scan the QR code on the table to order food from as many vendors as you like. You pay through the app well. Super convenient! There was no one at the door when walking in so it was a little confusing on what to do and where to go at first. We also could not find a station for any silverware which would have been nice. I ate from Nami Sushi and got some seasoned corn called Tomorokoshi and a crab filled Omusubi. The corn was a bit tough to eat as I accidentally kept eating the rind overall 4/5 I had the best chai tea i have ever tasted from Qahwah House. I am still dreaming about it haha. 5/5. From the Terry Melt we got the Chicken Parm Melt with fries and a side of dill pickle ranch. The chicken was a bit dry and I wish there was more flavor so I would give that a 3/5. From the So Cheesy vendor we ordered the Old Bay Fish & Chips and I fell in love! Would go back there just for that! 10/5! I didn't have a chance to try Amo Sami's Shawarma but I would love to come back to try them out!

Food hall to eat at, some inside eateries inside the hall. Private area for parties. 4-6 food trucks in the parking lot and seating outside as well as an outside tented area. There is an app to order from any spot in here, that works for a group to order and pay. The app wasn't working for our team today. Had to use Apple Pay. Grabbed some lunch with my colleagues. So Cheesy: Old Bay fish and chips, truffle burger; Terry Melt: Rueben melt, chicken melt with Cajun fries; The Munch Box: chicken Caesar salad and some drinks. Ended with a fiery mango boba from Z's with tapioca and mango bubbles and a Turkish coffee from Qahwah house. Caesar salad was as expected. The truffle burger and the fish and chips were good. The spicy chicken melt was quite tasty, lots of flavor, heat and creamy too. The Cajun fries are just okay. The Rueben melt was good for my colleague, plain fries were so-so. The Turkish coffee is made on the electric stove top. It was piping hot. It was good. The fiery mango was different, but I wouldn't get the it again though.

Genius concept. Indoor and outdoor seating options. Bathrooms inside. Many food trucks outside with fun summer night vibe with lights and various sizes in table with and without umbrellas. Super cute mural. We ordered from same food trucks so our food would come out at same time. They have QR code you scan at your table and it brings up menus for all trucks and they bring your food to your table after paying with credit card. If you want to order direct at food trucks, its cash only. We wanted shawarma but they were sold out so we picked so cheesy for our dinner. It was just before 9pm on Friday night and it took almost 30 minutes for our food which was biggest drawback. But it was super yummy.

My brother invited me to have dinner at the Canteen in Dearborn. I've heard about this place, but never had a chance to experience it for myself. The concept here is there is one large building with a decent amount of restaurant vendors/food trucks on the property. You can sit down and order your food with the QR code from any of the menus being offered and that business will bring the food to you. My brother and I shared a combination of chicken shawarma from Sami's, BBQ from Big Red's, and an ice cream donut sandwich from Custord Co. I won't go into the details of every single thing we ate because quite frankly what we had was delicious all around. Meals from these food courts are generally on the pricier side, but I felt as though what we ate and the portions we got were more than fair. I just love the quality and variety of what is being offered here. I remember this space used to be Big Fish back in the day, and I'm happy they found a worthy replacement for it. I just wish this was around when I was still living in Dearborn Heights.

So I went to the canteen today, the wait was a little long sucks that someone in your group gets their food first and by the time they are done eating the other order comes out. I personally got the steak melt which let me say was amazing super good super fresh overall 10/10 I also got the corn I wish I could say great things about it but honestly was so bad I took one bite and threw it away, I never thought corn on the cob could be soft and soggy, my friend got a sushi burrito he said it was dry so we went and got extra sauce and he was it was really good at that point, overall food is a 8.5/10 and place in general is a 7/10! I would recommend going. The place was clean always staff walking around cleaning which I really liked.

Crab Rangoon Egg rolls (So Cheesy truck)

You can order from a table inside our outside using your phone. This is prob the ideal way. If you want you can go around to each truck as well. If you order Fri a table there is staff that will bring it to you which is nice. Hand full of good options. All the food we had tasted good. The crab Rangoon egg roll were awesome. The deserts from the place inside looked delicious as well. There are bathrooms located inside, plenty of seating and TV's as well. Glad we stumbled upon this place.

Excellent spot with a variety of food trucks to choose from. Order from your table and someone will deliver it. Inside and outside sitting areas. This place is great.

What a cool concept the canteen is you have Qahwah House La Fork, the custard company, Zee's bubble tea the munch box Terry melt the chicken coop so cheesy and a few other others all in one location you can order and pay through the app one time and pay for one bill with multiple spots and tons of options because of it, the inside is clean people are constantly walking around, wiping up tables, making sure everything is in order

As a novice of woodworking, I was blown-away by the intricate woodwork and finishings throughout the home. The three ladies that lead our tour of the home shared many interesting details about the property, its restoration, and details of Clara and Henry's years at the estate. Many of the restoration stories, like finding a tub for Henry's bathroom or how Clara had a section repainted white were intriguing. Even though much of the home, especially the second floor, is still being restored it was a fascinating experience.

There wasn't much actually open amongst the majestic-looking buildings while I was there, but the picnic area was hopping. The signage was bilingual-in English and Arabic-and what appeared to be a Yemeni wedding seemed to be taking place. The juxtaposition of the estate of an industrialist (or robber baron, or visionary, or racist, depending on your point of view) with a distinctive immigrant community makes for a striking reflection on Americana. The grounds include some gardens, and a lake with a path around it. Access to the river is limited, but it didn't look like that impressive of a river. The greenery is more worthwhile.
