Service was terrible. We were one of two tables then down to one. The cooks called our order ready but the staff person didn't come back inside for another 5 minutes. She never checked back on us after delivering the food. My husband got the Baja tacos and we love spicy but something was on the shrimp that was so hot he couldn't eat it. Food was subpar. We had the candied bacon. Received three pieces with syrup on them. Maybe it was a brown sugar reduction, not all the way cooked. My son did enjoy the chicken and waffles. I saw at least 4 different staff people here during our visit. Service was so slow and inattentive. Will not be back, sadly. as a matter of fact, we are still waiting for our bill. Heard about Mini Oscars after being at DOA a few times where food and drinks were killer. Stopped in for breakfast/brunch with the kids and get out of the house. Staff was super friendly, portions were huge and the food was delicious. They went above and beyond, will definitely be there again soon! read more

Stopped by for a some beers on a sunny Thursday afternoon. Sat outside and received great service and a good variety of taps. Also had fries and pulled pork sliders from the happy hour menu. Both were delicious. It's so great to have this place in Downtown Sumner. I'll definitely be back. read more

Sooo good! Super friendly staff. I was so surprised it wasn't as busy in here- this must be a sumner secret gem! We were lucky to snag a seat and our server was super sweet. The food came up quick. The waffles were so fluffy and good. She gave us the option of the berries on the side which was nice. Highly recommend everything on this menu. We took some stuff home too. Great service and amazing food. Generous portions and a great menu. It was busy when we arrived and the communication was excellent, a young woman with dark hair helped us. The first time I went there to pick up dinner. I paid too much money for awful food. A few weeks ago, we decided to try their breakfast. My Monte Cristo was okay. My husband ordered biscuits and gravy and the presentation wasn't great and one of the biscuits didn't have any gravy at all. When we asked for extra grave, we were charged 4.00 for it! That was ridiculous! They are ready charge way too much and now the nickel and dime you. We won't go there again, nor will ee recommend anyone to go there! read more

This place is so underrated. Sumner has a lot of breakfast spots but mostly really traditional food. Mini Oscar's has a modern spin on breakfast which is so refreshing from the basic stuff you find at some of the breakfast spots here. They don't have a ton of staff, so wait times can be a little long but the food is worth it, and they do awesome lattes! It is our favorite spot in town. read more

Terrible experience. Everyone in this restaurant was served raw chicken, including me. When I cut the chicken it was bloody. The waitress insisted that it was cooked and that I should eat it. She told me she will not take it off the bill because it's edible and cooked, and that 'a lot of people' have been complaining so they won't take anything off bills. After all of this, she took the other persons plate at my table and told me they are taking care of the bill and are taking the plate while they were still eating. Terrible experience, terrible customer service, and horrible attitudes. Absolutely disgusting, and terrible management. read more

Ordered to go. They said 15-20 minutes and it was closer to 30. I ordered my burger medium and it came well done and cold and drier than a dowager. Also without the cheese and bacon I specified. The sub parmesan tots were cold and rubbery. Will not be eating there again. read more

We visited Mini Oscars at about 12:30pm on a Saturday and were seated right away. The restaurant was clean and had good music lightly playing. The server took our order and was back with our drinks in minutes! We had the cold brew Jameson Jumpstart (10/10!) and cold brew Irish Nut Housed (pretty good, but the Jameson Jumpstart was better). The hot black coffee had a great flavor as well. We ordered the Elk Hash and the Pork Verde benedict and our order was delivered really quickly. Both were 10/10! The meat was fresh, moist, and flavorful, and the potatoes were perfectly crispy. The egg on the benedict was perfectly cooked over easy as well. I originally wanted the Crab Cake benedict but they unfortunately ran out of Crab Cakes jsut before we arrived. In the end, I'm glad they were because my Pork Verde benedict was wonderful and not something I would have typically ordered. The portion sizes were large, so I was able to take the other half of my breakfast to-go and enjoy it the next morning. It reheated incredibly well. Looking forward to visiting again soon! read more

We just went to Oscar's Annex in Sumner. The service was excellent and the happy hour drinks and food were excellent. We had the pulled pork sliders and chicken skewers, both were excellent but even better was the basket of fries. Really nice to have a place like this in Sumner. We have eaten here three times and ordered take out. Overall, the food has a lot of potential. The menu has a lot of great items. We love Dirty Oscars in Tacoma and we're hopeful this would be the same. The food is pretty good but definitely overpriced for what you get. No matter what you order it needs more sauce. They ration the gravy and hollandaise. There is no extra to mop up with your potatoes or biscuit. An extra order of gravy comes in a little dish and is $4. I waited to order the shrimp and grits cause it's my favorite and I didn't want to be disappointed but it was lacking any salt at all and missing flavor, if they added a tomato base and some salt it would be a lot better. Their bloody Mary's come in a little Glass and are $11. A family of 5 was a total of ) $164 with tip and one meal was just a pancake. The man at the table next to us got served a piece of fried chicken that was burned black. After today not sure we will go back. read more

How does a place that serves waffles and pancakes run out of syrup? Plus they don't tell you until after you've ordered and the plate is on the table. Place is clean and attractive enough. Oh man I hate to write a less than stellar review during Covid but we came in last Saturday night wanting to try the new spot in town and were hoping to love this place. We had two waitresses helping us one came over and wiped down half of the table but didn't even wipe down the half we were sitting at. No water even though I asked, and when I asked about the white wine she told me she doesn't know what kind they have it at the bottom and no one has asked for it In the last week. The hummus was terrible but the cauliflower wings (breaded fried cauliflower) was delish. At 7:50 (says they close at 8) we felt so pressured to leave and were told we couldn't order anything else so we just paid and left. When we walked by the door on the way to the cars the waitress had her coat and purse on ready to leave. Didn't feel very welcome, but will try again maybe when they can open their indoors as We like to support local. read more

We ordered to-go and tried a variety of food. I ordered the BBQ Tri-tip dip and it was delicious. The French Fries were some of the best I've had. I like that they were shoe-string fries. I also ordered the flourless chocolate cake. So good with ice-cream. It's very rich, so I ate half and saved the rest for later. My husband ordered the Shrimp and Grits and the Creme Brûlée. He said the meal was Ok (to be fair, he is comparing it to the southern style shrimp and grits in Charleston, SC) He enjoyed the Creme Brûlée very much and we will be back to try some more food another day. read more
