Ali and Warren, a husband and wife musical team, lead these amazing and inspiring music classes. It is by far one of the best things I have done for my son and we have been coming for over a year now. My son looks forward to these incredible group sessions and is absolutely in love with music all because of Mini Music. He is 16 months old and he dances and already tries to sing along. He looks at Ali and Warren like they are celebrities and is absolutely enthralled with them. They are sincerely the nicest people in the world and they make this experience for the children (and parents) so incredible. Cannot recommend them enough!!!!! read more

Mini Music - Musical Instruments & Teachers Near Me - Sebastopol, California

Mini music was such a huge part of our lives when my son was a toddler up until he outgrew the class. Ali and Warren are awesome musicians and people! They created a warm, safe, loving environment for children and parents alike. I remember my son would run to them after every class and give them the biggest hugs. Their music is fun and rockin and listening to the CD's in the car (on repeat) was actually fun for the whole family.....we still sing some of the songs years later! I believe this early exposure to music is part of why Reed, now almost 8 years old, is studying the guitar and in choir at school. Such a wonderful foundation and a place to build community with like minded mamas and papas. I highly recommend for anyone with a young child or infant! read more

Mini Music for the WIN! My daughter has taken multiple sessions of Mini Music with Ali and Warren and as a parent of a extremely active, short attention span 2 year old this has been the PERFECT activity for us! The connection this beautiful couple makes with their students AND the parents is fantastic! Their heart and soul is in their music, their own original music to make it ever sweeter! And that shines through every single class. It's the absolute best way to introduce your young, or older child to the beauty of song. It's a great way to meet new families and really feel part of the beautiful community of Sebastopol. Sign up for a sessionASAP and sit back and watch the magic happen! :) read more

We/I still sing Mini Music songs years after taking Mini Music when my daughter was little. I loved their music so much I bought their cd's for each new session when we had to move from the north bay--Ali was nice enough to send them to me. It's a great and unique mix of all kinds of "kid" and "non-kid music" presented in a kid friendly way--but also with excellent musicians. The classes were very fun. My toddler daughter literally cried when the end of class came. So I'd recommend Mini Music, especially with Ali and Warren. I'm sure their other classes are great, if taught by other teachers. But we took the ones in Sebastopol with Ali/Warren and their toddler (at the time) son. read more

Probably my favorite way to hang with my toddler. At first, I was truly nervous to attend a music circle/ class with my kiddo. I was rolling my eyes in advance at the idea of mindlessly singing old nursery rhymes and tapping away at instruments. I was mostly worried because I LOVE music and I wanted to be able to show up to a music class genuinely with my sponge of a kid. I didn't want her to think I was just going through the motions. Especially in a social and learning environment having to do with something we cherish so much as parents, music! I was SOOOO blown away by my first time attending class with Ali and Warren. It's not about just killing an hour or so in the name of "music". They are truly TEACHING music theory to these little ones (and the adults) in a totally sweet, fun and engaging way. I'm all in now. We make sure to sign up each session. I am already sad at the idea of one my almost 2 year old growing out of music class in a couple of years. I really do treasure this class. As a first time parent raising a kid in the pandemic, it's been a great way to connect with other parents and caregivers. Huge fan over here! read more

Mini music is the best. Ali and Warren take music classes for children to a whole new level. My granddaughter and I have enjoyed 3 years of singing, dancing, learning about rhythm, playing instruments and making new friends. She evolved from a shy 1 year old to a 5 year old who sings all day long. We really feel that we scored when we found Ali and Warren and their mini music. They are such great educators and amazing, thoughtful and nurturing mentors. We had been taking the Corte Madera classes but we couldn't resist going to Sebastopol for our last class before Kindergarten begins. Both are outside in beautiful areas. I have watched so many little ones blossom as they recognize songs and begin to understand rhythm. This was just the personalized music class that I was looking for...I feel so fortunate that this amazing musical duo came into our lives at just the right time. Ali and Warren wrote quite a few of their songs which we loved immensely...take a musical journey with them...you will bring home music and memories for your little ones. read more

When we enrolled to mini music last Spring session, we did not know what to expect but I can confidently say that our toddlers love going there! We listen to their cd almost every time were in the car and they look forward to going to class. It is definitely worth enrolling at. My favorite part is that the classes are held outside and that Ali and Warren are such warm people. They are such a great combo when making music! We can't wait to attend the fall session! read more

I started coming here last week with my niece. I myself am a music teacher and so can be pretty discerning when it comes to my family's music classes! Ali and Warren really impressed me with a high level of professionalism, kind but clear transitions so the kids and parents know what to expect, a beautifully recorded CD so my niece knows all the songs, and most importantly-- really great songs that the whole family actually enjoys. So happy to be a part of this sweet community! read more

Ali and Warren are a magical team! We have been doing Mini Music for about 3 years with our son and it changed our lives for the better. They really inspire parents to bring music into their lives in simple, fun, and sustainable ways! Through their music classes, they have cultivated a community of families that has made parenting more fun. We wouldn't know what to do without our music tribe! Over the years, they have become some of our dearest friends. Ali and Warren and their team of teachers are the real deal and you don't need to consider yourself a musician, or musical, to join in. There is a perfect balance of singing, musical instrument exploration, dancing, and smiles. It has been such a simple and joyous way to spend time with our kids. Music shifts energy, lifts the mood, and brings families closer together. We LOVE Mini Music with Ali and Warren!!! Our 3.5 year old loves singing and dancing around the house while our 8 month old bounces to the music with wide eyes and curiosity! read more

My little guy and I began Mini Music about a year ago. That seems like a simple statement, but these once-a-week-45-minute classes have facilitated an instrumental shift in my boy's development; the gentle introduction to a class-type setting, the chance to move freely amongst other littles to both develop and practice social skills, and the music! We have so much fun! Ali and Warren incorporate ALL kinds of instruments, props, movement, and such a broad range of songs that every single class is different. I look forward to our next class each week! read more

My daughter and I started Mini Music over two years ago. She was two then and at four, music is one of her main ways to play (a.k.a. learn). I highly recommend Mini Music to anyone who wants their child to be exposed to music early. Mini Music is a professional, fun and enjoyable experience for both child and parent/caregiver. Each music class is truly like a performance. The songs for the day are all planned and are varied each week to learn all the songs from the session. Also, each song has some action for the children, which engages multiple senses to help them learn. You get a professional CD that is filled with beautiful songs, some new, some old, some original and some classics - all beautiful. Not one makes me want to switch it to the next song, unlike most children's music. Not only has being in this class increased my daughter's confidence and desire to sing, it has also increased my confidence to sing out loud besides my car. It has also helped us bond, in and out of class. It's quite thrilling to hear my four year old make up her own songs, use new words in songs she already knows, or just belt out a tune as easily as she can talk. read more

Great class! We have really enjoyed this session. My LO struggled with class environments and so I was really worried about how this was going to work out. But very soon he adjusted and loves his music class! I think the personalized CD also was a great tool in helping him to get into the routine and feel comfortable. I love that the instructors are so happy, joyous, positive and easy going! You don't have to worry if your kid is the one not following along... it is not a big deal in this class! :) read more

I've been to many music class with my two kids and Ali's has been hands down the best. She is musically gifted and has all the warmth, enthusiasm, and creativity you want in a music teacher. She offers a combination of originals and familiar old songs, and inspires the children both to sing and play instruments. Ali accompanies on guitar along with her very sweet partner, Warren - it's really beautiful, playful, and fun. My daughter and her friend both just loved the classes - we'd come every session if we could! read more
