For a couple months, I had been looking for a well rated tattoo place to get my first tattoo. When I came over this place, I decided to give them a call. I made the appointment with mike, and he was so nice and patient over the phone. He understood that it was my first time so I wasn't as knowledgeable and he respected that! Heidi is AMAZING. This little fire cracker is incredibly personable and talented, something you don't often see in that industry. She did my sleeve and another medium sized piece and blew my mind. Her attention to detail is phenomenal and her creativity is impressive. I trust her enough to give her a general concept and let her choose what all to do with it. I've never used the same tattoo artist twice because I never seemed to "click" with them. Since moving out of state, I knew I wanted my next piece to be done in Seattle but didn't have an artist picked out. Heidi was recommended by a friend. I was able to communicate via email with her regarding my design, which could've been a little dicey but it wasn't. She put me at ease before we ever even met. Just got my 2nd tattoo tonight and Mike was awesome. My tattoo is fairly straightforward - 1 color - and a 4x4 grid pattern. Straight lines are tough b/c it's freehand but Mike did great work and I love the results. Jackson Street Tattoo is a great shop - professional and tidy and some really awesome art on the walls! I am so glad that l found this place! I can give rates over 5 * but this is the max * they have....:) First of all I got 1st and 2nd tattoo I felt like unhappy with it...! And here Mike fixed up for me ooh......man incredible job....! Mike is an amazing artist. His work can't be beat. He has an amazing way with fixes Tatto that you had done not well... He did an Awesome work and the best. In terms of professionalism and personality, he makes the whole experience pleasant and comfortable, and turn out looked so great... I love it. He looks at my old tattoo and start drew the new line and trust up a little bit here and there and then really delivers. And he said "this one kind of challenge me " But it worth it .! His prices are very reasonable especially when considering how much it cost he said $150/ hour not bad at all because he doesn't charge when he draw the line. And the spacial thing is he did my Tatto almost 2 hours to fix things up and he charged me only an hour... How nice....:) I highly recommend Mike if you are trying to get high quality, professional tattoos. Not only his great, but Jackson Street Tattoos is a professional, clean, interesting, and comfortable environment in which to receive a tattoo. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!!! First time I went here, I recommended the place to my boyfriend who needed to get his ink finished that he dedicated to his son and daughter... He worked with Mike and the end result was beautiful and badass! Second time was just this past weekend when I got my piece done, worked with Josh and I couldn't be happier! My mom passed away last year in June and I wanted to get a serenity prayer with rosary beads and to honor my mom and my sister who passed before I was born-- I told Josh I wanted to also incorporate two swallows, the sketch he showed me was sooo beautiful. But when it was placed on my skin and with the colors, I was overwhelmed with soo many emotions. The man that owns this shop is a wonderfull one! Mike is very gentle, his prices are fair and his work is AMAZING. I've had an entire arm sleeve, rocker on my chest and a cute little Friday the 13th skull tattoo on one of my ankles. The shop is very clean, up to date on sterilization and unique. I always feel very comfortable there. I honestly hope Mike ages well because I will PROBABLY never let any other person come near me with a needle. I've been going here for a while and I won't go anywhere else. I've been tattooed by Mike, the owner, quite a few times and I've always enjoyed the experience. Everyone in the shop is a lot of fun so the time passes quickly. Admiral has a different vibe than a lot of shops in the area, it's clean and well decorated and very comfortable. You also don't feel intimidated when you walk in. I've also been pierced by Jr. I was really nervous since it was my first piercing, but he was very quick and I barely felt it. The piercing healed within about three days and I've never had a problem with it. They also have a great selection of jewelry. read more

I got a tattoo done by Tori back in October during one of her flash sales and I LOVED my experience! I got the back of my calf done and it hurt very badly, and what I liked about Tori is that she didn't make me feel like a baby for reacting to the pain. She made me feel very comfortable and was okay with me taking a few short 5 minute breaks. She is such a talented artist and can shade a tattoo like a dream. I still can't believe I got such a beautiful calve piece for only $100 before tip! I plan on coming back and getting a ton more done by Tori once I have money. She is brilliant! I've gone to Mike Barker a few times for several of my tattoos, and all of which are a few years old. My tattoos have healed flawlessly due to great execution. I went to Mike when he had his old shop in West Seattle, and this new place is a pretty cool. He and his staff are super professional, friendly and not to mention most importantly, Talented. My recommendation is to take the time to study these artists portfolios, go in and talk to them and hopefully you will find that you are not wasting your time.
