First time in the spa my experience was really good Lisa did an amazing job on my neck and back will be back again sometime.

The masseuse who worked on me didn't really search for lumps of knots that needed focus. She kept going based off some routine she must use but there was hardly effort, Just roll me flat with her rolling pin hands. Why does every massage person at these boutiques think knuckling both sides of your neck muscles along the C- vertebrae in fast unison is soothing. With or without oil the neck knuckling was and always has been horrible. Just the thumbs in unison or individual attention is the only acceptable way. Come to think of it she didn't ask about areas she should avoid or address. I really didn't like how even though I was under a blanket she pulled my underwear up, exposing my butt checks without the sheet drafted between the legs. Only my underwear concealing my vagina. She left my ass out like, sheet over my midriff only as I lay face down. She worked areas that weren't my ankle, leg, thigh or glutes. Most places drop the blanked over the butt and then the extra material gets dropped between the legs. I felt my labia nearly exposed. I thought everyone knew common decency is keep your client genitals covered all the way. You shouldn't see my underwear unless it's showing though the sheets. I only had bottoms on and they showed and weren't covered by a blank for more than 5min. I don't care if we're both female because it felt really demeaning to me. She switched between oil and lotion which was no big deal but the lotion was used on the top half; as in face up portion at the end. This REALLY BOTHERED ME THE MOST; THE SCALP MASSAGE WHERE SHE KNOTTED THE FUCK OUT OF MY HAIR WITH HER LOTION HANDS! Theres ways to give scalp massages without knotting up hair. She was trying to lather up my dry head. Up until that point I was mildly annoyed by her half-ass attempts. Fucking bitch move. Power play or just stupidity there's no excuse. Worst $50 massage. She had shoulder length hair, curly/wavy hair in a shade red-orange. I didn't ask her name and she never introduced herself by name, just greeted me when she entered the room. Asked medium or firm?. I didn't ask her name as I left either. Never coming back. I went here on a whim I should say. I did call30 min a head of arriving. Not an appointment by any means. Only heard the front door open once as I was in the room. Doesn't seem like they get much business. Maybe if you're a regular you know who's got good hands and know when they work. read more

Wow! This place exceeded my expectations. I am in town for a trip to Disneyland and before a long day of walking, I went in for a foot massage. Lisa was amazing. I'm a fan of deep tissue massage and my ankle is always stiff and swollen. She worked out the tension and made a marathon day at Disney very do-able. The lady I got did NOT know what she was doing. She pressed hard on my shoulder bone probably thinking it was a knots. I can tell you for sure it wasn't a knot and it was my bone. My family and I have been coming to this place for years. They give great massages! But lately, we noticed that they stopped being honest about time. Service is always short by 10-15 minutes! At first, we thought those were honest mistakes, but no... it's like that every time now. We talked to them about this but nothing has changed. Great! I can't remember which ones of the masseuse offers walking in your back, but you can ask if that is what you want (I avoid that). You need to tell them how hard the massage is - don't just let yourself endure it. I always ask for very hard massage but I always ask them for very soft massage on my neck. The massage oil they use is very good - it doesn't clog up pores, and they use lotion for facial massage. I always ask for additional hot towels to wipe out more oils out. You can also ask for hot stones and for people who have a lot of muscle kinks, this is very good. The good masseuses I remember names of are Angela, Sasha, Anna, and Miko. Sasha and Angela are the ones I ask for when I want heavy hard massage. There are a few others, but please check out my Cons below. Special mention Wendy: She seem to be the most knowledgeable in working out muscle kinks and even with the deep tissue hard massage I asked, I had trouble NOT falling asleep even with the high pressure massage. Tony was always helpful and tells me a little about the masseuse who is available to work on me or if I want to wait. I have no experience getting a massage from him. Cons: They sometimes have masseuses that are very new, Tony and sometimes Sasha asks me if I want to try their New Masseuses. I had one experience where the masseuse appears to be trained well but she just wasn't hitting the spots. If you really want a good massage, ask for someone with experience. I went with my boyfriend for a last minute massage. I got an hour foot massage and he got 30min foot and 30min body. He loved it. Me on the other hand, they were busy so they didn't have someone out front, as clients walked in the guy stopped to great them and take care of them then return to work on me. Was a really good massage. A couple of things to work on: 1) the smell. Not sure if it's just me but their linens had a funky smell. Like a light Urine smell or human drool. It was strongest when I was faced down for my massage which made me breath through my mouth the whole time. 2) not sure if their music is on Bluetooth but for a good 10 minutes the music was so choppy, going in and out that it sounded like bad Bluetooth connection and did not make for a relaxing time. 3) I go to Blue Ocean Health Spa on Euclid quite a bit and feel like their overall foot massage is a better value (includes hot stone and also neck/shoulder/face work) and its only $25/hour. I absolutely loved my experience here! I am 5'2, 113 pounds, have scoliosis and arthritis which causes me to feel like a 24 year old in an elderly woman's body. 4 stars bc about 4/5 times my massages was on point each time i visit. i had someone named Miko massaging me and i loved how she did it, i came again and requested for Miko, they gave me someone else and not Miko the one i thought of. I called before i came and requested for Miko, some guy picked up and was stuttering as if Miko wasn't available that day. but he ended up saying "okay okay" which made me think Miko is available. anyway, i'd appreciate it if they tell me directly Miko wasn't available and asked if i want someone else, i would most likely be fine with that. but when i came for my massage, they gave me another person and said that person is Miko. i know how Miko looks like and it's def not that person they gave me. the place is cool, a lot of good masseuses but not being honest about who's not available at the time of request isn't cool. hence, i'm giving it a 4 stars. read more
