There were multiple staff involved (including a supervising instructor and a student and others), but communication was indirect and not clearly explained at the start. I was asked for basic information through multiple people instead of being addressed directly, which made the check-in feel awkward and unstructured. None of this was communicated before hand. Facials are quite direct and a comfortable experience for a client. The environment felt uncoordinated and not what I expected based on the booking and messaging beforehand, so I chose to leave and forfeit the deposit.

I was already dealing with a frustrating situation regarding a return, and unfortunately the customer service experience made everything worse. The return policies were not explained clearly, and I felt like important information was not being communicated to me as a customer. My biggest concern was my interaction with the store manager, Sandra. I asked to speak with someone who could properly address my concerns, but instead of listening and trying to help resolve the situation, I felt dismissed and ultimately the call was hung up on. As a manager, I expected much better communication, professionalism, and customer service. In my opinion, the way the situation was handled showed very poor management. I also had a very disappointing interaction with sales associate Mary Cruz, which added to an already frustrating experience. What makes this even more frustrating is that I completed the return, but I still have not received my refund. I have not received the gift card that was supposed to be issued, and the refund is also not showing on my debit card. I am still left without my money or a clear explanation of when I will receive it. I do want to recognize Jennifer and Karen, the sales manager, because they were both very helpful and treated me with respect. I truly appreciate them taking the time to help me. Unfortunately, my overall experience with the store and customer service was extremely frustrating. Ulta really needs to do a better job making their return policies clear and ensuring customers are treated respectfully when they have legitimate concerns. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and reviews how this situation was handled.
