MOST TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE…read more I experienced serious complications after surgery with Dr. J that resulted in hospitalization. I developed large seromas that required multiple aspirations/drainages. Eventually, I developed cellulitis and was admitted to the hospital with a 104° fever. My procedures included full body liposuction with fat transfer to the buttocks, lipoma removal, umbilical hernia repair, and C-section scar revision. Despite the severity of the complications, Dr. J did not provide a referral or arrange appropriate post-operative specialty care (such as drain placement). I was left to find my own providers to address complications resulting from the surgery. I was told I would only need two weeks off work, but due to complications and infection, I ultimately missed five weeks. During aftercare, Dr. J was condescending and dismissive. His communication increased my anxiety and made me feel panicked rather than supported. I found his behavior inappropriate and unprofessional. After multiple aspirations, Dr. J stated I likely needed ultrasound-guided drains placed by an interventional radiologist and that he could not do it "blindly." However, instead of arranging this care, he told me to schedule an appointment with my primary care provider to obtain a referral. There was no coordinated plan for follow-up or specialty treatment. I am extremely grateful to my medical providers who ultimately treated my infection and placed drains once it was safe to do so. Unfortunately, I now need revisions due to the outcome of this surgery.

My hollow eyes was the reason I came to you, but I allowed you to talk me into a deep plane facelift. I specifically had Maria (your office manager ), to ask you if the upper and lower eye lift and will that come with eye fat transfer, Maria said you said yes. 1st disappointment Then had to go to your office for a revision of left side jawline 11/2023, as you started to cut open the bottom of my chin, you said "Oh, I left Fat behind". And you charged me $200 for revision of Left side only hoping that would fix it. But it did not fix the lump on the left bottom jawline still! Then 5/2024 you did another revision left jawline under local lidocaine, no charge, but charged me 8,000 for the fat transfer to the eyes/face and they are the still hallow. You was Injecting my face with lidocaine and cutting behind the ears of the left side and fat transfer to the face but you injected most of the fat to my face only 1 mil to the eyes (still hollow eyes (02/14/2026) your assistant had to tell you that you only have 1.0 ml of fat left and you still had not transferred to the eyes AGAIN. Earlier this week, I had a lovely follow-up appointment with Dr. Kotler and Mary. I had not seen…read morethem since my last procedure back in 2020, so as you can imagine it felt like a lifetime had gone by and there was so much to talk about! I received a warm welcome at their brand new office. It was a pleasure to reconnect again. I am still so happy with the results of my last procedure. I had a minimal set of the permanent nose injections, perfected by Dr Kotler. My result is beautiful and looks as fresh as the day I had it done. The only adjustment I wanted to make for myself personally was to have some fullness injected into the very bottom of my nose. I used to have a very full columella, but unfortunately a DIFFERENT surgeon had completely removed it during my surgical rhinoplasty back in 2015. I've always missed that part of my nose. Dr. Kotler listened to all of my wants and also looked over the old photos I brought in showcasing my original pre-op nose (I came fully prepared this time)! Doctor was happy to oblige, and also explained how he was going to administer the filler, stating that the bottom portion of the nose requires careful planning because the blood vessels need the appropriate space to aid in proper blood flow. 4 days later...I am THRILLED with the result! It looks so beautiful and it adds a tiny, little bit of detail to my face that I really missed for so many years. It looks so great from the front, and especially the side profile. Dr Kotler has not only instilled great confidence within me...In his care, he has taught me to trust again.

Especially because I told the truth 100% and did not exaggerate at all in my review. Yes, I do work in the medical field, and I am a very realistic person and will not be gaslit into thinking I am being out of line like he's done in response other reviews. I did say the third session was on the house, I did say that they were kind people, all I am still trying to articulate is this filler is NOT permanent and is very overpriced for what you get if they're not going to guarantee their work. If you want honesty and "the whole story", after my review was posted I received an email from the office manager letting me know that they would like me to come in for an appointment. I did not call them asking for an appointment. I originally called them to see what a solution would be to my problem. After their response of that I would have to pay another $1800 I simply said thank you. And I acted accordingly and wrote the review that I would want to see as a patient who would be researching this technique. I'm assuming they contacted me after reading my review because they were hopeful we could come to an agreement of some sort and I would remove the review. So to make it seem like I'm dying to "vote for them" after "bashing" them doesn't seem like a fair statement. Again, I still believe this office is very professional and I did enjoy my nose for a short time. All I am saying is maybe enough wasn't put in or the filler just isn't permanent as they say. There are other reviews that say the same thing, that they paid a lot for something that didn't end up being permanent. I don't know why I got the angriest response. I do think deep down they're extremely kind people and I know Dr. Kotler has built up endless confidence for people for so long who had insecurities about their nose. I knew on the first consultation that Dr. Gould was the surgeon for me. Every step of the process was explained and all of my questions and concerns were addressed. I came to see him from NC so I also needed some guidance on my recovery. Not only is he a skilled surgeon but his follow up care is second to none. He personally comes to check on you in an aftercare facility that has round the clock nurses caring for you. His staff checks on you also so that you never feel forgotten after the surgery. I experience very little pain and actually stop taking pain meds after the second day. The results exceeded my expectations as they are very natural, balanced and exactly what I was hoping for. You can tell that Dr. Gould is dedicated to being the very best and he takes such pride in his work and really cares about results. He will follow up on your healing long after you have completely recovered. I have so much confidence now and I am so glad that I found Dr. Gould. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Gould .
