I've gone here 3 times, the first time was pretty good. The second time it took almost 3 hours for a gel manicure and pedicure. My latest visit was 3 days ago and my gel set is almost chipped on every finger. I'm not rough with my nails by any means but even if I was a gel manicure should last longer than 3 days. Also the manicure takes so long because the gentleman with the glasses watches TV while doing your nails. The owner offered to fix it but I'm not wasting more time/money there. As a RN, the job is notoriously hard on nails. I stopped in by chance after seeing the amazing photos posted in yelp. I called first and then when I arrived, It was comfortable and smooth. From consulting with the owner on pros and cons of tips vs dip, to the pedicure, manicure and gel removal, it was all above the standards I thought was normal at local walk in Asian nail salons. The gel removal was, at my request, without grinding my nails with a drill.The gel polish and manicure was carefully done and they even carefully capped each nail due to the peeling tips on my Natural nail. The manicurist applied between 4-5 coats of color plus base and top coat. Lastly the pedicure included Hot stone foot and leg massage in addition to leg exfoliation and extended massage. Overall the salon was clean well-maintained harmonious and the employees worked very well as a team. I would return here again without hesitation. read more

Their prices are really good especially for the quality of the work. I've had 3 different nail techs work on my nails and they've all done a great job. First time here with my husband. Staffs were friendly and the space was clean and tidy. Decor was dated but overall good environment. Things to look out for: 1. They will charge you the same whether or not you get a color for a manicure. My husband only got his hands and feet nail trimmed, still got charged a full price compared with my mani and pedi. This did not sit well with us. 2. Staffs were overworked. My technician had to steal bites of his lunch in between my pedicure. The manicurist was on FaceTime with the family while helping me. When I had called I said on the phone that I wanted an intricate design for my nails and that I wanted a acrylic full set. I also said that I wanted a pedicure as well. I had scheduled my appointment for 5 PM and they said that that was OK I especially asked if that was OK because I wanted an intricate design on my acrylic full set. They continued to say that it was OK and they had even called me back to see if I wanted to come earlier and I said that I couldn't and I asked if my 5pm appointment was good or is it too late and they said that's ok. I also asked AGAIN if they are able to do the Intricate design and they said yes. When I got there I showed them the design and they said that they could do it. My gel pedicure took about 45 minutes and my toes aren't evenly filed their crooked. And then when they started on my acrylic full set it took about two hours and I didn't even get the design that I wanted because It was taking so long and they were already an hour behind their closing time so I said just put gems on it instead of where it was supposed to have circles. Not only did the gems fall off the next day. But halfway through the guy who is doing my nails sighed at how long it was taking and he even told me that if I wanted to get a crazy design that I should've told him on the phone and I had to correct him and tell him that I told him twice that it was an intricate design. Came here for the first time today to get a gel mani and a basic pedi. They have a range of different kinds of pedicures if you feel like going the extra mile and pampering yourself. The inside isn't as modern/updated as my regular salon but the services were still great. The staff was very friendly and made our experiences extremely pleasant! LOVE this Salon in Salem. Going to miss them when I graduate in May. Sam is the best. He always remembers me and takes great care of my nails (he knows I like em long). I just moved into Salem State University and needed a new place to get my nails done since I'm far from home now. I decided to go to Mindys because it was the closest and I've heard good things about them. My experience was exactly the opposite of what I was told. I used to go to the same nail salon back at home for years so of course I'm going to ask questions because it's new to me. Every time I asked a question I got laughed at and ignored or directed to a different person to answer my question, so I just stopped asking and hoped for the best. I asked for acrylics just on my natural nail so that it can help my nails grow longer. When she was done they were so thick it looked like I had bubbles on my nails. Also when I was done every single one of my nails hurt and when I applied any pressure to a finger it was painful because while she was doing my nails she filed way to much on the sides. Did I mention that it took her way too long to do my nails. The man next to her that was doing nails got through two different customers while I was still being worked on.
