First, to start off the experience, I visited the Kinetix website and requested more information. Within 24 hrs a return email was sent and I had an appointment with one of the coaches, Zach. Zach was friendly, he showed me around the gym, and explained options. I did not feel pressured during the interaction. The gym is new and beautiful. The locker room is pristine and the member lounge has the perfect mid-century modern aesthetic. The 5 personal training sessions required prior to starting group classes didn't seem like it would be "enough" and to be fair, a lot of the movements I knew. With that said, the sessions were useful to acclimate me to the gym. And the sessions were also for the coach to ensure I could perform movements safely, which I appreciate. I was disappointed that I was not taught various Olympic lifts (my sister mentioned these were included in the "on-ramp" classes at her CrossFit gym). I mentioned my concern to Zach and he reassured me I would be taught various moves during the classes. Overall, I am pleased with my experience thus far and will update this review as I have more to say. To also note, Kinetix used to be called "CrossFit boomtown" though I am told the owners disassociated themselves from the CrossFit title as there are limitations when trying to grow their business and open additional locations.

The atmosphere, community, and…read moretrainers are all amazing, but after the experience I had this week I wanted to share my experience as a warning to others considering attending this gym or getting a membership. I have been attending classes since December, which I purchase through class pass. When I started going, I was told it was permissable to stay and complete my workout after purchasing and attending a class (IE attending a strength class, then after running on the treadmill to complete my workout for the day). As time passed I started to meet people and made some purchases at the front desk for energy drinks/ etc. One day I attended a class and after ran on the treadmill (as I had done a number of times in the past). Once I left I got a notification my card was charged for a full day pass at the gym. Not once did someone notify me this occurred nor did I authorize it. I contacted a manager at the facility I knew, and they stated they charged my card as I used gym equipment after the class. I told them I was unaware of this, as I and many other classpass users thought it was allowed. I feel violated in a way because I was charged without any warning and they did not refund the amount. If I had known they were going to do this I would've left and ran outside!

All of the coaches current and former are all amazing... truly inspiring, dedicated and caring for everyone. They know when you are injured and give you modified exercises. "Coach" Stephen comes off as decent person on the surface, but his true nature is more fraudulent than anything. I want to be clear this behavior isn't shared by the other coaches as well, but solely him. I was enticed to join the program through instagram, where they advertised a 6-week transformation program. When meeting in person, I was explicitly told that the program was worth over 1,000$ (which clearly isn't true), yet i was being offered the price of 600$ for the 6 weeks I would attend. The true pricing that they offer attendees is either 39-49$ a week, which means I was charged double than the highest rate they even offer regular people. If this could be done to me, this could also be done to other people and I hope my review prevents this from happening to other people. The worst part is that he sells it to you as if your interest is truly on his mind, when his entire objective is to sell you on a dream. The only difference between the 6 week program and the regular classes is that you meet biweekly with a coach and log meals onto an app they have you download in the beginning. There is no special treatment and they even limit the amount of classes you can do within the 6 weeks. The slimiest part about him is that he had the nerve to shake my hand and smile in my face like he didn't lie to me. He doesn't even teach any of the classes there, he's simply the owner of a business trying to capitalize on those looking to better their health. The overall environment of the classes is great, the other boxers are nice people and the legitimate coaches are actually trying to see you do better. I just wish that there was more transparency on the pricing because ultimately I was scammed. I want to be clear this review has nothing to do with the progress I made during the 6 weeks, but I want to be sure anybody attempting to attend these classes knows exactly what they are getting into so that they don't end up getting scammed the way I did. I hope "coach" Stephen gets everything he deserves moving forward.

I will tell you a few things about Austyn Affronti. It was obvious to me immediately that he is a very serious young man, and he shows it by giving complete attention to those he is working with. You may assume that all physical trainer should do that, and you are right but it doesn't always work out the way it should. Austyn wants a great foundation, and what I mean by that is that he wants you to work perfectly so you will accomplish the most without potentially hurting yourself. I have now worked out as I said four times. In many businesses in the very beginning the person (The salesman) that's showing the form service is perfect but eventually some become lazy once they feel they've made the sale. So far I have noticed nothing but perfection. I hope I am right, I will let you know either way in the future. In addition I explained to Austyn I wanted to lose weight. Austyn created a menu for me. Time will tell how it works. But, if you look at the photographs you can see a major difference between people he has worked out with in the past showing before and after. More so those are real pictures, it is obvious these pictures are accurate and honest. They show pictures of before and now now. The pictures also show men and women young and older. There's a good chance hopefully before stars will become five. If another couple months it continues I definitely would go five. Yelp people we all love to eat.
