I called to get her in for tutoring here in February. She had a lot of catching up to do to understand the material in a short period of time. She gained confidence and a much better understanding of the material. Despite her teacher's horrible exams and lack of assistance, she pulled out the second semester with a C+ and then took semester one in summer school and received a B. No more D on her transcript. She is in week one of geometry and after tutoring this evening literally said "I feel so good, I am totally understanding this stuff and I hate math." A great place to take your children to not only develop good math and reading skills above grade…read morelevel, but also a place where your kids can get confidence in themselves that will allow then to succeed in school. Academic success is all about internal grit and that is what Kumon provides. This particular Kumon Center in Foxfield encourages kids by rewarding them and giving them recognition when work is completed which raises confidence. There are regular evaluations on a child's progress so that parents know how they are doing. Mrs. Fee who runs the center is a top notch professional and a great influence on our kids. I highly recommend this place!

We engaged Mike to assist with our high school daughter who is currently enrolled in Trigonometry…read more Up until recently she was always an "A" student, but was having an issue with the recent material. Mike spent the first session reviewing what she already knew to get a good understanding of where her core weaknesses were. He then went back a few chapters to review some of the core concepts he felt she was lacking before moving to the current material. This allowed her to gain a REAL understanding of the concepts instead of just practicing memorization. Mike also helped her develop better study habits and take better notes during lectures. I am happy to report that she got an A on her last exam! With her study habits corrected, Mike doesn't need to come by as often now, but we do still conduct regular appointments so that we are sure she is on track and to make sure her understanding is where it should be. We really like that he comes to our home and it works out great for our schedule as well as helping our daughter feel more comfortable. I can't imagine another tutor being any more professional or knowledgeable than Mike.
