I sent my son here for math help 6 months ago. He's always struggled with math in school and absolutely hates the subject. My husband and I knew he'd need help to get through his last two and a half years of high school so we decided to give Mathnasium a try. Clay Brown took the time to sit down with us to talk about our son's struggles with math and where in particular he found the greatest difficulty. Our son immediately took to the environment and instructors. His math grade began to improve but more importantly his attitude towards math changed. We continued to send him over summer to prepare him for Algebra 2 his junior year. The way the instructors help to make sense of algebra and geometry has made a big difference in how he approaches math. The atmosphere is calm and allows for focused concentration while working. This was important for our son as he struggles sometimes with staying focused. His attitude towards math has changed. While he's still not a big fan of the subject he is able to understand it better thanks to the techniques the instructors teach him. We made the decision to continue sending him through the rest of high school to ensure he's ready for ACT and SAT testing. My daughter has been coming here for four months now, and I have already seen a big improvement. Her attitude about math is changing, and her confidence is growing. They have a great reward system, which gives her goals to work towards. Math has been such a source of frustration for her. I thought that she would complain about going, and she never says anything negative. She always has a sense of accomplishment when we leave. I love how they welcome my input on what she needs to work on, and they are awesome about keeping me updated on how she is doing. They have their own curriculum for her and they will also help her with homework, or anything we bring in. The techniques that they teach her are very logical and easy to understand which is why I think this has been so successful for her. The owners both carry math degrees and have a true passion for teaching. It shows in the way they teach and instill confidence in the kids. They are truly dedicated to making a difference! I saw a commercial for Mathnasium on the tv one day and decided to check it out. We met with Clay and he sat there and was showing our daughter math tips even before we had decided to try it out. We were pretty impressed so we started her there in May and had her going all summer, 2-3 days a week. I think my overall impression has been good, I can't say I noticed an improvement until just recently when my daughter did her math homework without needing some help from us. On the days she goes she can bring in her math homework and they'll make sure she understands it and gets the correct answers. That is just extremely helpful! The price can be steep for some but they will work with payments which is excellent. I know it can sometimes be hard for them to give individual attention as they have a good amount of kids but it's also on our children to not be afraid to speak up when they need help. I like that we can pick the days we want to bring her and times. They are great at answering questions and giving input on what our daughter needs to work on. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with a child struggling in math! read more

Literally pulled my daughters failing math grade up to a C within months of starting. She never complains about having to go and now has confidence in a subject that unfortunately we (mom and dad) just don't excel in.
