We dropped off our car here after a car accident. It took 3 weeks to get it back (due to insurance problems) but our mechanic was very nice and responded fast to texts! read more

STAY AWAY -- DO NOT COME HERE! I stopped by this shop to get coolant for my A/C. The mechanic said he needed to check the coolant and required a $200 deposit, explaining that the amount would go toward whatever needed to be done and that I'd get any remaining balance back if it cost less. In the end, I was simply charged $200 just for coolant on my 2011 Mazda3 -- an extremely high price for such a basic service. I felt misled and definitely won't be returning. Lesson learned. read more

Made an appointment with him for an oil change. I told the mechanic about the check engine light notification on the dash and he said it was because of my oil not having been changed, so he cleared that notification, instead of the wrench notification. He made me aware of a radiator leak and sent me on my way. I went to a different mechanic and asked a friend who works at an aerospace company if radiator leaks are a cause of concern and they both said I need to repair it immediately. I have an appointment with another mechanic but I wish this mechanic would've let me know to be concerned. Maybe that's the way he communicates but it puts the customer in a horrible position if I didnt have others telling me the importance of this. read more

Dropped in because one of my front tires was losing a lot of pressure. They were able to see me right away and take care of the issue!

Came on a Saturday where not many auto shops are open. Thankfully, they were able to take me in to fix my car. Car not blowing cold air so needed them to have a look or just to recharge the freon. Eric mentioned the rear a/c wasn't really blowing cold air so they had to spend extra time to test and diagnose. He added it may be compressor problem. Since we're all in a time crunch (he closes at 3pm on Saturday), he only recharged the freon which was very low. This is 5 stars because of the service provided and the i really needed the cold a/c since we're driving long distance back to the bay area. read more

I have a 2016 BMW 340i and I have been taking it to Eric for all modifications, repairs, and services. I can certainly vouch for Eric's extensive knowledge, transparent service, clean work process and quality of work after taking my car to do the following modifications, repair and service: - M Performance Big Brake Kit, Stoptech Stainless lines. - VAC Motorsports Monoball upper and lower control arms. - M Performance LSD install. - Active Autowerke downpipe. - Rolls Performance full underbody brace kit. - 034 Motorsports LSD and rear subframe inserts. - Oil Filter Housing replacement with Aluminum. - Coolant connector replacement with Aluminum. - Oil, transmission fluid, differential fluid, coolant vacuum fill. - Wheel, TPMS and tire change. If you buy the parts and bring them to him, he will install them with care. If certain parts do not fit, or need extra work to make it fit, he will send you pictures and let you know what can be done. Prices are competitive. It is hard to find a good honest shop, especially these days with smaller ones having poor work quality and the popular large shops feeling too much like a 'factory', Mind Automotive is the perfect place to get top quality and personalized service for your baby! read more

After looking at the reviews I decided to give this place a try. I called beforehand and informed them I was coming in. Whoever answered the phone said okay. I arrived within 5 mins and there was at least 3 people working outside who made eye contact with me. I waited in front of the garages for about 5 mins and not one person greeted me. As I was leaving I noticed another customer who came in after me was experiencing the same thing.Customer service needs improvement. read more

Car had a flat on a run-flat and needed to be addressed ASAP. I called around to at least 6 other shops and they all hemmed and hawed with high costs and long waits (days) as they didn't have any in stock. Called MIND and they were 20% cheaper than any other quotes and said they could have the tire in a few hours. They would call/text once it was in. Got the text about 3-hours later, drove over after filling the tire with air, and was seen almost immediately. 15 minutes later, new tire. 10/10 stars, will return for other needs after this great experience. read more

The owner, Eric, and manager, Dylan, were very friendly and straightforward. They ensured that my car was repaired asap. They were soo welcoming and encouraged me to go back if I ran into any issues but gave tips on how to address any potential minor issues on my own if needed. Such great people who know what they're doing. Hard to find good people who have great integrity, and I'm lucky to have been introduced to them. I'll definitely be going back. read more

(I'm a very busy person taking care of my dad who is going through stroke recovery and other things I do all on my own. So the fact I let the car go that bad is sort of embarrassing) I took my 2017 Hyundai Elantra to a repair shop close to my home because the car would stop in the middle of the road. They were unable to find out what was wrong and said everything was fine. Sure they got a wheel alignment done and some tires, but I knew that everything wasn't fine. I then went to the dealership thinking that would be best, and they also couldn't figure out what was wrong with the car. I then took my car to Mind Automotive and Tires and Eric was able to figure out what was wrong with the car in 5 minutes or less. They repaired the car and the car was working smoothly again. They pretty much saved the car before other damages would have taken place, if not caught in a timely manner. I am very happy about the repair work of the team there and would recommend anyone to this auto repair shop, to save the hassle of time and money. Thank you so much for your help. I am truly appreciative read more

MIND automotive was referred to me by me friend because i was looking for a new shop at the time. It was october of 2020 when I first took my 2013 honda civic for an oil change. Eric is such a cool guy and very knowledgeable and serious about his craft. He even checked everything just to see what was needed to be done to my car. I came back sometime later and brought my wife's car, a 2015 mazda3 for an oil change as well. And today I ordered new set of Hankook Ventus v12 evo2 tires. Balanced and mounted. Very Happy customer right here. Good price and good service! Highly recommended. read more

Over and beyond what I expected it could be like to go to an auto mechanic. I recently purchased a used Honda Element and all the service records were not available. I was recommended by a friend to contact Mind Automotive and ask for Eric. I called and spoke to Eric and he gave me a basic rundown of what would possibly be needed, but that he would need to see the vehicle first (made sense). I took the car in around 5pm the same day and dropped it off so his guys could look it over the next morning. Next morning (today), I got a quote with everything that was recommended and a clear breakdown of the cost. I called Eric and he went over every detail. He advised on what was needed and what he thought was ok as is (super honest and upfront). I decided to go with an entire flush of all the fluids and some stuff I wasn't sure was done by the previous owner (transmission fluid, brake fluid, power steering fluid, oil, coolant, leaky head gasket, spark plugs, frayed serpintine belt and a valve adjustment for slight noise). I okayed him to move forward and by 4pm the car was done. Eric sent me pictures of the dirty fluids, spark plugs and even replaced a missing battery tie down for free. I went to the shop around 5pm and spoke with Eric again. He went over all the work done and laid out a general plan on things that might be needed coming up. Paid, got my keys and left. Im not going to say I noticed a huge difference in the car, but thats the point. the car feels normal and peppy, but the peace of mind knowing everything was done by a professional is irreplaceable. I will 100% be back for all my vehicle needs to Eric and Mind Automotive. I highly recommend this shop. P.s. I have never been to this shop before, nor have I ever met Eric before yesterday. This is 100% a not paid or asked for review. I am just so happy when someone provides such excellent service. read more

Top quality automotive work! At first I had some hesitations because I'm a woman and I've heard some awful stories of women being taken advantages of by jacking up the prices because they don't know anything about automobile repairs. But not Eric, he was very honest, explained everything and did an amazing job replacing my water pump and the price was half of what the dealership quoted me. I am now delegating Eric at MIND Automobile & Tires to be the one and only mechanic for my Jag! Ladies, if you need some automobile repairs done, go to Eric, you'll be treated fairly and will get top quality work! Eric is an honest mechanic! I give him and MIND Automobile & Tires 5 bright stars!!! read more

During COVID-19, it's great to support smaller businesses like this one. My (20 year old) car was having issues starting up, and my motorsport engineer brother (who's out of state) suspected the fuel pump. I took my car here on a Saturday and explained the situation. After about 30 minutes of inspection, they discovered the same issue as my brother and offered to let the car stay there over the weekend at no extra cost as they awaited the parts to come. The owner, Eric, was kind enough to explain that he would do his best to order the part as soon as possible, especially during COVID-19. He expected the part come early as the following Monday. Not only did the part come that Monday, he and his team got the car fixed and ready that same day! Eric is a very honest and kind person, with very good prices. I highly recommend this place. In fact, my buddy who recently had a car issue came here today and got things fixed on the same day! read more

I had a stolen catalytic converter and Eric was able to source one for me and work with myself and the insurance company to get it repaired. He kept in great contact (via text) the entire time and had it done quickly in order to get me back on the road. Never once did he try to upsell anything, and did exactly what needed to be done. Just a solid, trustworthy guy and someone I would go to for my future repairs. I got to see the itemized list and his prices were very reasonable. read more

Eric is legit. He was able to get a matching single TE37X for my FJ full size spare. Every other performance shop was only selling these as a set of 4. He was also able to quickly source a set of Volk Formula lug nuts and matching center cap. When installing the lug nuts, they didn't use power tools like every other tire shop. They hand threaded each nut and then used a torque wrench to finish it off. THAT IS HOW IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE DONE! I was so impressed that I dropped off my FJ for a steering column replacement job along with installation of off-roading suspension components. This shop is easily worth the drive from Los Angeles. read more
