I came to K&S Auto for a headlight and lamp inspection for the DMV because they are an authorized inspection facility. Unfortunately, the entire experience was extremely frustrating. When I arrived, there was no greeting or welcoming customer service at all. During the inspection, I had a small rock chip on my windshield. While they were inspecting the vehicle, the chip cracked further. Instead of taking responsibility or even apologizing, I was told that it was my fault. Because of the crack, they would not pass my vehicle, and I ended up having to replace the windshield. I was also told that I needed to repair the TPMS warning light and that it would cost $100 per wheel. I decided to get the work done elsewhere and ended up paying about half of what I was quoted at K&S Auto. This made me feel like I was being overcharged. I returned for a second inspection and once again experienced extremely poor customer service. I waited and waited with little to no communication or acknowledgment. Overall, this was one of the worst auto service experiences I've had. The customer service was terrible, the pricing was unreasonable, and I did not feel that I was treated fairly. I strongly recommend going somewhere else if you need a DMV inspection. Shop around and get a second opinion before agreeing to any repairs or prices from this place. read more

THE WORSE, MOST UNRESPONSIVE AUTO REPAIR SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED!!! I called them on Friday and was told to make an appointment which I did with the lady receptionist for Monday. It was for the brakes on my daughter's car who is in college and I am 450 miles away. I called five times from 7:55 a.m. to 8:10 a.m. until some random guy picked up the phone. I tried to explain to him about making the appointment as requested and why my daughter was dropping off her car and he didn't ask for my name or didn't have any follow up questions about the car: (RED FLAG #1). My daughter arrived at 8:00 a.m. for her appointment and dropped off her car. By 1:00 p.m. she called me saying that she had not received an update. I called and Mr. Lee answered the phone and when I asked him about my daughter's car he said nobody told him about it so he hadn't done anything about it: (You mean to tell me that your shop is so disorganized that you have a car sitting there for 5 hours and you don't even question it? - RED FLAG #2). Mr. Lee promised that he would test drive my daughter's car and get back to me. At 4:40 p.m. I had not received a follow-up as promised and called the shop where the lady receptionist answered. I tried to explain to her about making the appointment with her, dropping the car off, and speaking with Mr. Lee. She said that the random guy left early and Mr. Lee wasn't available and that they had so many cars to work on: (EXCUSES - RED FLAG #3). This shop has too many RED FLAGS! I rarely, if ever, take time out of my hectic schedule to post a response, but if I could give NEGATIVE 10 STARS I would. Took my motorcycle here to get a brake and light inspection. I called roughly 10 other places but no luck finding anyone to do the inspection for motorcycles (including motorcycle shops). I was finally directed to call K&S Auto Repair and they said they could do it, so I setup an appointment. Once I arrived, they said I was missing reflectors, but they could do the rest of the inspection and give me the certificate once I got the reflectors put on. Once they inspected the rest of the bike, I went down the street to O'Reilly, bought reflectors and put them on in the parking lot. I drove back to K&S Auto Repair, they approved the reflectors and then filled out the certificate I needed to turn into the DMV. They made it easy and I'm glad someone in the OC area was able to do it. read more

I always wait 24 hours before writing anything negative on Yelp, to make sure I have cooled off and still feel the same. I arrived yesterday at 8am to get my vehicle serviced. I was told they only work by appointment, there were no openings at the present time, and I could not leave my car there. They did offer to make an appointment with me for another time. I saw open service bays, no other workers, and no other customers. I already had someone on the way to pick me up. That person is a senior with no cell phone, so I had to wait at the corner and watch for them, just to send them home. This was extremely inconvenient. I went to another place. But when i came here, they didnt even ask me to change all 4, they asked me to change only front to see if that fixes a problem. I did only fronts and problem fixed. I've walked in twice now, and they always took me in quick! I've only gone for oil changes. The workers are nice and welcoming which is why I decided to come back. They also charged me less for my oil change compared to other places I've had quote me. I'm scared to go to auto shops by myself because I've heard the horror stories of people getting up-charged just because they're a woman but they did not do that to me at all. Thank you Mr. Lee for saving my car's ass! So I kinda hit the curb on my way home. I ruined my front driver's side rim, ball joint, control arm, and alignment. I was super bummed but K & S took care of me! I put all my trust in them even though I had never been there before, and I'm so happy with the outcome. Lee was very fair with pricing and didn't order any parts/work on my car without running the total cost by me and even gave me alternate options so as to not break my bank. He dropped my total from $655 to $460 and my car is now back in working order and safe to drive. He was so kind to me, and even lent me his jacket since I was freezing! They did the smog and when I went to DMV to register I found out that they read and reported the mileage in km instead of miles!!!!
