Great decor planner; a lot of issues with general full package wedding planning…read more TL;DR: Our decor planning went perfectly without a hitch, but there were significant communication and organizational issues, especially on the day-of, forcing our bridesmaids to essentially take over coordination altogether. ----- We chose Dina's full service option starting around a year before the wedding. The Good: - Dina hired two extra assistants for setup at no additional cost, and our ceremony and reception were stunningly beautiful. All of the tables were exactly what we wanted, people were set up where we wanted them to be, our vendors had the support and supplies they needed, stationery was printed and set up properly. She really did pull through on making it look exactly how we wanted it to look. - Dina knew what questions to ask various vendors, many random things that we didn't think of that ultimately were quite important. She also was very good at being able to get quotes and info from a wide spectrum of people, and she found several of our vendors. - At the end of the wedding night, Dina was also very organized in helping pack up all of the decor. -------------- The Bad: There were many, many details (small and big) that were lost all along the process. We understand some of this came from health and family issues that Dina was going through at the time, and we really tried to give her the benefit of the doubt as much as possible, but that really doesn't cover everything. Planning: - Dina reached out for a lot of duplicate information (e.g. asking for phone numbers repeatedly in cold emails). Often the details already existed in the same email thread, and her replies confused vendors. - We scheduled the wedding rehearsal months in advance (Dina was on this email thread and confirmed). A few weeks before the ceremony, she emailed our venue asking if the space was available for a rehearsal. We had to quickly follow up in the thread reminding her that we already scheduled this to avoid confusing the venue staff. - There was a lot of missing problem solving. For instance, our wedding venue required 4 inch votives for candles. Dina initially ignored the requirement until we prompted her several times to confirm with the venue, at which point she told us we needed to do electrical candles instead, because she was planning to buy 2 inch votives. We suggested buying 4 inch votives instead. Day of: - We had some transportation company delays (not due to her), and she nearly started the ceremony with only around half the guests present. I as the bride had to stop her when I saw the seats were half empty. A guest asked her about what was happening with the shuttles (which were 30+ minutes late at that point) and she responded "They know what they're doing and they're on a schedule. Just look at the time". - She was missing many details of the day in her plan. For instance, she asked us during the reception if we wanted to do a first dance, despite this being in our shared timeline since day one, and her being cc'ed on dozens of emails with our live musicians coordinating the specific dance we were doing.. She asked when we were doing cake cutting (also in the emails and plans). She confused several people with her incomplete timeline. - Our bridesmaids told us that they essentially had to step up as day-of coordinators and primary contact for vendors, and that they missed out on a lot of the festivities as a result. - Despite giving her specifications for the dietary restrictions we needed to cover for our desserts, she only brought some of the allergy-free desserts, and some guests were left without desserts Overall, while the wedding worked out in the end, we wouldn't hire Dina if we did it over again.

We started planning our wedding 2 years ago, and found Sabrina via the Knot. We booked her because of her positive reviews and her pricing, and I can confidently say it was the worst mistake of my entire planning process. Sabrina started off very responsive and organized up until I signed the contract. Immediately after I stopped receiving email responses, and had to text her or call to beg for some kind of response. She had told me I could ask her questions whenever and can have monthly check ins as needed, which I never did end up getting. Some emails would go 2-3 weeks without responses, some no response at all. I started to become very worried about 6 months out when we still had little to no contact with her. I reached out and let her know that I was feeling this way, and asked when we can expect her full attention and she just kind of said "it depends on the brides needs" so I communicated that I did need her to respond in these next few months. Again, ghosted. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt as most people who I asked about it said coordinators don't jump in until 60 days out. So many people told me to fire her, but I tried to stick it out. When those 60 days out rolled up, nothing changed. No vendor comms were sent without us prompting Sabrina to do so, I made my own timeline because she took too long to respond to my email and get me hers, I also had to redo my own floorplan because hers was too vague and incorrect. Once we hit the 2 week mark, and we still saw no improvement on her part, I knew we had to let her go and find someone who would actually do the job. I'm still convinced I was scammed, and am devastated over the amount of tears and stress Sabrina caused me this entire process. I am SO glad we fired her and went with someone else. Our new coordinator immediately hopped in and did more than I think Sabrina ever could. Sabrina did give us a partial refund after we told her the contract was over, which I appreciate - but there was never an apology or attempt to make it right. Weddings are a big deal, and I had made my expectations very clear and even gave her a way out if she couldn't do the job. Such a disappointment. Brides - PLEASE save yourself the stress and do not hire Sabrina. If I could go back and redo this whole process I would 100% go with someone else.
