I provided my attorney information to the office and was under the impression that they were already in contact but the later find there was no affiliation. My trust was completely lost. I've been going to the correct practice which has a similar name and I've felt 1000% better with only 4 visits after being in terrible pain and trouble walking. last visit to Active Family Wellness I expressed that I was in pain and I mentioned to the office manager that I was in too much pain and I wanted to skip the tense pressure before the adjustment and I was told "You have to do it". which was so painful it brought me to tears and I didn't feel any better. Additional I was made to sign paperwork agreeing to pay a detailed breakdown of the when I have health insurance which I was completely caught of guard by. How can I know what the projected cost be for medical treatment? What ICD coding would be used for long term treatment? I don't appreciate being sold this "fallacy" of care knowing that I wasn't the first patient this happened to. Disappointed.

It wasn't painful, but it was a source of deep insecurity. We don't know when or how it happened, but the crooked-ness was very apparent. I took her to see Dr. Go about a year ago, and she's been getting treated ever since. Prior to the initial assessment, the front desk was very helpful in tracking down my mom's complicated and nuanced insurance provided by her union. They even wrote it down for us for future reference. On first visit, Dr. Go methodically examined my mom through X-rays, listened to all of our concerns, explained the treatment plan carefully (English is my mom's 3rd language), and made both my mom and myself feel comfortable throughout the whole process. He also explained that my mom's shoulders were likely the result of an injury (possibly decades ago). Now, about a year later, my mom's spine and neck placement has dramatically improved. Her shoulders are much closer to level and she's able to look head on. She's expressed that she has greater mobility. She's been getting so many compliments from coworkers and friends (which she happily shares with me). My mom looks forward to getting adjusted by Dr. Go each week. The office is clean and the staff super friendly. Dr. Go is meticulous, caring, professional, and extremely good at his job. I couldn't recommend Dr. Go enough!

Can't say enough great things about Dr. Sullivan... I'm a harsh critic and realist and yet Dr…read more Sullivan has really opened my eyes to chiropractic medicine as well as acupuncture. I'm terrified of needles but did something to my upper back and neck that I was willing to try anything. I found this business through yelp, they took my insurance and had availability! He even took the time to show me how the acupuncture works and assured me while I'd feel a slight pinch the needles wouldn't cause me tremendous pain... I decided to try it and boy am I believer now!! I've told everyone about him and acupuncture. My moms been trying to get me to go for years now and now I finally understand why. His office is staffed by his family who are literally like a second family to me; his wife Cheryl is always extremely friendly and welcoming! She is there most days, manning the front desk and receiving/escorting patients. She's so attentive and knows me so well that she immediately knows when I'm having a bad day. No other professional settings I've visited have made me feel as valued as Cheryl and Dr. Mark do. Their daughters also have worked here off and on, and they are just as friendly and fun as their parents! Shout out to you ladies! When you experience the professional yet simultaneously warm and loving environment that is their office, you will come to realize that this is one of the happiest families ever -- and it's a boon to the rest of us that they are happy to share their love and expertise with us. Be advised, because his office is so new, his website (virginiasportsandspine dot com) is not on…read morethe first page of Google. You end up seeing a few other similar names, but they are not him. Use the address from Yelp. Google his name instead, Dr. Farid Mohammadi and use the Main St. Fairfax address. Or go straight to his website (not VA sports and spine, but VIRGINIA sports and spine) The most interesting thing I found about Dr. Farid was that the first time I used him for a chronic issue in both arms, I fully expected to be getting treated for an extended amount of time in order to fix this injury. I even may have asked him "how many appointments do you think it will take? a couple dozen or so?" He explained how he "didn't think so at all" and that he "prefers to fix patients for the long-term in as low a number of visits as possible" and that my issue "shouldn't take more than 3-5 appointments before we should re-assess whether there is enough progress to continue to use his treatment, versus seeking a surgical solution" WTF?! I was thinking, "What kind of chiropractor does that?!" After completely repairing those issues, I came back to him to see if he could fix my shoulder too. He is now in a new office and this review is about his new downtown Fairfax location. Received absolutely top-tier service again, and for a significantly lower price. (Take advantage of him now, because he is clearly undercharging in order to show the community what he can do.) Dr. Farid took as much time as I felt was needed (and significantly more than any other doctor I have ever been to) in order to understand the issue. After listening to the full history of my injury, he did some doctor-y movement-y stuff and identified the problem. He then explained the underlying cause of the injury and his therapy plan. At that point, he began my treatment. His website is not lying when it says he provides highly-specialized treatment. That is exactly what I saw. He's also a really friendly guy, which makes the appointment much better. Seems to have a pretty nice facility that looks like it caters to sports injuries. Makes sense, considering my injury was shoulder-related and he clearly had significant experience dealing with athletic movement-types of injuries. Will be going back and would wholeheartedly recommend above anyone else in the area.
