Cali Burrito.

We come back for a reason. We started splitting the burrito because it is so big. The Chile verde sauce is simply to die for.

We're looking for a breakfast burrito on Sunday morning. A lot of sandwich shops and restaurants are closed here on Sundays. We found this place Mimos. Ordered a Carne Asada burrito, since they did not have breakfast burrito. It was loaded with all kinds of good stuff. Beans rice Kearny Asada cheese and pico. Pretty tasty and filling. It was $12 to go

The have chicken, tacos, taquitos, chile rellenos (stuffed peppers), chile relleno burrito, chile relleno torta, tostada, tamale, quesadilla, enchillada, and tacos. The $7 taco plate comes with rice & beans, 3 tacos, but you can't mix and match tacos. There's a small parking lot on side of building and street parking. The inside is big with plenty of seating. Friendly cashier. The flame grilled chicken was ok but tacos were good. ....| \ _ , , , - - , , _ , .../ , ` . - ' ` ' . _ \ - ; ; ; , _ ..| , a - ) ) _ . ; . Smothered chicken burrito

We went in during busy lunch hour so the food took a long time to arrive (~20mins). However, it was worth the wait. Their green chili that's in the smothered burrito was mildly spicy and flavorful though I wish I had ordered steak or carnitas instead of chicken. The steak nachos were really good and make for a filling meal as well. Just be careful not to get anything crazy spicy that will upset your stomach if you plan to visit Black Canyon NP afterwards!

FOOD: Very good. Not great or phenomenal, but certainly not dissapointing. Good salsa with the…read morechips. Cold chips, but they were crunchy. Good corn tortillas and tender chicken (lightly seasoned). Not overwhelmingly spicy or greasy like you'd expect, but I appreciated that. The guacamole wasn't house made. It was more like "dip" texture, so ehhh...didnt care for it. PRICE: Overpriced. We split the Chicken Fajitas; they were tasty, but 3 extra tortillas cost $1.50 which bumped our price from $13 to almost $15 for a dish that shouldn't be over $11 (extra shells or not). Of course, we're from Missouri and everything is cheaper there. Maybe the Colorado economy is not something we're used to yet. ATMOSPHERE: nice! You can see enough to read the menu, but it's dim enough to give you privacy and intimacy. SERVICE: Friendly server who checked in often. The food arrived faster than anticipated, and the check arrived in a timely manner. TAKE AWAY: Overall, good food, fast and kind service, and a relaxing atmosphere gives it 4 stars for me.

Keep driving. We…read moreended up here because our first two restaurant choices were very busy, and we we're all very hungry. It was about 1pm on a Sunday. About half or less of the tables were occupied, but the hostess acted like it was going to be complicated to accommodate a wheelchair. She seated us, then brought menus. Took drink order. Drinks come, waitress leaves. Eventually comes back for order. It was at this point, after everyone has had 10-15 minutes to consider the menu, she informs us they are out of fries. Two in our party order burgers anyway, well done, with hash browns instead. At this point is when she offers chips and salsa. Should have brought that when we were first seated. Chips were chewy. Our food took over 30 minutes to arrive. (At this point there were only a couple tables occupied, about 2 pm). Both burgers were medium RARE, and they looked like the filler-laden ones you buy in a tube at Sam's Club. The rest of the food was just 'ok'. We would have been better off waiting for a table at the first place we stopped. They were friendly, and they did take one of the burgers off the bill, but we won't eat there again, and I wouldn't recommend it.
