Been there several times and it has been good. Waited an hour for our food at our most recent visit. Everyone seated near us, even those who arrived after us ate and left before we got our food. We went in during busy lunch hour so the food took a long time to arrive (~20mins). However, it was worth the wait. Their green chili that's in the smothered burrito was mildly spicy and flavorful though I wish I had ordered steak or carnitas instead of chicken. The steak nachos were really good and make for a filling meal as well. Why did they have to move to the new location? The previous location was our favorite diner with great chicken fried steak, burritos, liver and onions and burgers. It was always so very good. Sadly the new location does not hold a candle. Poor service, rude servers and sub-par food on every visit makes this our PREVIOUS favorite diner. Won't go back. read more

Went in for dinner last nigh with friends, ordered a ground beef burrito which turned out to be 2/3 rice, beans and very little ground beef. It came with chips but evidently no salsa. Had to ask for salsa. Have ate here several times and not sure i will go back. Very bad experience. read more

We've been frequenting Mimo's for breakfast/lunch for a while now and I've never had a disappointing meal. The servers are always friendly, sometimes a little feisty, which is a plus in my book. Coffee is always flowing. I've heard there are some growing pains with the move into the larger location, so I'll let them work out the kinks and visit again soon. Fantastic breakfast. They nailed the idea of combining Mexican and traditional American breakfasts, not in some cheap "fusion" way that a lot of chains are failing at. The dishes are HUGE too. They lose some flavor when reheating so I recommend splitting a dish instead of taking home leftovers. read more

Worst biscuits and gravy I have ever had. The "sausage" gravy had no sausage, hash browns were undercooked, and it was basically a pile of slop. I thought that this was going to be something like Chicken Kitchen. I did not realize that it was Mexican food. I don't like Mexican food, but my husband was very pleasantly surprised. I stuck with the chicken and hubs got a gigantic burrito. All the food tasted fresh and good. Their pricing is fair and you do get your money's worth. The folks here are friendly and happily answer your questions. This is pretty much a hole in the wall type of place. Seems like most of their business is take out. But they do have plenty of tables inside. We like to try different, non-chain places when we travel and this was a good option. I really loved this place when the previous owner ran it he was such a great guy. New owners are nice but just don't have the friendliness of the last owner. Food seems to have remained the same. Good taste and quality. Best Cheese burger, fries and drink deal in Montrose. A hidden Gem. I cant really imagine anyone not liking this restaurant. Parking can be a challenge if they are busy. Went to Mimo's and discovered it had been updated from Pollo Asado and that is a good change! The service was attentive but sadly, the Mexican food we got was really a lunch portion at a dinner price. We will go back but likely to try the American fare which seemed to appear more reasonably priced with larger portions from what we could see. Maybe as they get their feet under them to add wait staff and more cook staff to give the only cook they have a break, then perhaps it will improve. We will try them again soon as we like the people, the new ambiance, and the expanded menu, but prices need to reflect portion size and quality. read more

What a great local meal. My family landed at the airport and just needed any food.... And Mimo's was way better than expected. My wife got tostadas with ceviche which was nice and refreshing and I had a great chicken quesadilla that was way better than the normal grilled chicken in betweeen two Ken tortillas with cheese. This had tons of flavor and everyone left happy. They also had very simple kid items for our five year-olds. I will recommend this to anyone when they are visiting Montrose area. read more

Saw one to-go patron wait 10 minutes for plain white toast that was forgotten in his original order (I'm sure while his to-go breakfast items went cold).
