I really wanted to like this salon, but unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. I ended up going back about four different times because there was an issue with my nails each time. They assigned me to different technicians each time but unfortunately the quality of work was still not good. On my last visit, I asked for a refund because I was tired of paying month after month for a bad set of nails. They did give me my money back, but the way it was handled was very unpleasant. I was essentially told not to come back and that they didn't want my money which I found extremely rude and unprofessional. They took me as a walk-in, had a good selection of NEW (not clumpy and dried out) regular polish, moved quickly but didn't rush, and were very nice. They do take cards but they add a $1 service fee and you can only pay for your service. The tip must be cash or Zelle. I wish you could tip with card but overall I am happy. Just moved to the area and was excited to try a nail salon close to home. The staff was very friendly, but unfortunately the manicure felt rushed and sloppy. I even had to point out how to clean my cuticles properly, which was frustrating. Someone who seemed to be the manager did check in to see if I was happy--while I appreciated that, I wasn't satisfied but said yes just to leave. The inside is super clean, they have a great selection and it looks very organized. I got my nails done with Catherine and Lucky. Both did a great job, but Catherine was so patient with me. Not only is he really detailed and thorough with his work, but he is very kind and cares about you as a client. I only go every 3-4 weeks and because of the quality work, may nails last and I never have a nail raise or break. During the holidays, John was busy (understandably) and Lily the owner did my nails. She was so kind and just as detailed. Her husband Lee was also there closing the shop. They both stayed because I got there a little late after work. Mimi's is clean, the owner is friendly, and the service is pretty good. The first time I came in, they ended up losing power which was so unfortunate, but they communicated as best as they could while it was happening and were able to get me in quickly within the next couple days. Upon my return, I got a mani-pedi combo, with gelx for the mani and regular polish for the pedi. I really liked that they use liners on their foot baths, as well as open new packs of tools when they start your service. Cleanliness is the most important thing for me when selecting a nail salon and this one met the mark. My only issue was that when I showed the tech the picture of the design I wanted, the nail tech ended up adding rhinestones to it, which I didn't ask for and really didn't like. Unfortunately by the time I caught it, the first hand was already curing. If you want a certain design, just be wary and make sure you watch to get what you want! But for simple in and out, reliable, no muss, no fuss nails, this will be my go-to. Also - nails are still on after a trip to Norway and a week of work and I don't think they're coming off any time soon. We love that! read more

And now I have to go to another nail salon to try to get my nails fixed paying twice as much to also get her horrible pedicure removed first. There is nail polish all over my skin around my actual nails and on some nails there is no polish over the entire nail. I'm so upset I'm trying not to cry. I've recently restarted getting my gel x nails after revisiting Mimi's nails at their new location. I had a Cabo trip planned for spring break and was scheduled to see Alice for my gel x nails. She knocked it out of the park with executing the design with my reference picture and providing great customer service! I also received a deluxe pedicure with Ruby which was also a lovely experience! I went back after a couple weeks to get my Cowboy Carter nails and I appreciated how much effort she put into my complicated design and made sure I left really happy with them! I got my nails shaped and filed by this lovely older gentleman. He was so sweet and once he realized that I have sensitive nail beds, he became gentler and surprisingly got faster. It's safe to say I will NOT be returning to this place. The lady who did my nail lack skills. She tried so hard to convince me to do a set I told her several times I didn't want. I asked for an almond shape and I got round. She failed to file the nails well or cut my cuticle which left the nails looking bumpy. I am extremely disappointed with this service and will not be going back. This set is not worth the price I paid. I asked for a simple almond shaped red nails and she failed to deliver.
