For the 6th year, we ordered the Thanksgiving meal from Mimi's. It was excellent as always. The turkey and the side dishes were as good as you could make them yourself. I was not happy with the way I was greeted as I walked in. I wanted to sit at a booth table. The server wanted to sit myself and my nephew at a half booth table... mind you my nephew is a football player and I am thick on the hips. This table would not have us sit comfortably it! I was ABSOLUTELY INSULTED by her lack of understanding. I think I have visited this place before years ago but things have sure changed We came in with a party of 9 for a birthday celebration !!!! Which was pre arranged and we brought our own cake...... the place was pretty dead there was only one other table in our section and I would say they was only about 10 other small parties in the whole place including the bar ( I walked around to check) So I thought to myself this place must not be very good or just slow for a Tuesday night???? I have been a fan of Mimi's Cafe since I was a kid, and it appears as if they have undergone a name change (not sure if just this location or across the entire chain). This particular location is warm and has the standard interior look. Service was prompt and as expected. The menu is fairly large and is a little different than I remember it, but the classic items are there. I have always been a fan of their blueberry muffins. Overall, the food was tasty, but I do feel like it is not quite the same quality as in the past, and prices have gone up over time as well. read more

Having been to only one other Mimi's, in Ventura California, and really liking it, we decided to give this one a try. The place was almost completely empty. Our server (Johnny) was excellent. He was very friendly and tended to us immediately. I had the Jambalaya and my wife had the Grilled Atlantic Salmon with green beans and scalloped potatoes. The food was really good, arrived quickly and the portions were substantial enough for me to take half of my Jambalaya home. My complaint is that the place looks very dated, the lighting is very cold, and some of the tables look overly worn. As far as the lighting, it appears that they replaced all their incandescent lighting with cool white LEDs instead of warm white, giving the place an awful and uninviting hue. To me, a warm and comfortable atmosphere is VERY important towards a person's enjoyment of their experience. Unfortunately, that was this place's shortcoming. read more

When i first walk in i immediately fell in love with the decoration, very homey, and i felt very warm in the restaurant. After reviewing the menu, I picked the smoked salmon egg benedict. Normally the egg benedict I had in other restaurants are to the salty side, but not this. This egg benedict was cooked perfectly! The egg is half runny, the english muffin is toasted and slightly crispy on the outside. The hollandaise sauce has well balanced flavor and not too heavy. I really enjoy my egg benedict. I also came with two other people and they said they liked their food a lot too! Service is good. Our server was very courteous and professional. When she was taking our food order and asking if we are doing good, we felt like we were engaged in a high end business interview. She is extremely professional, almost too professional. All in all, everything is good and we are happy with our food and dining experience. The first time I went there I loved the place and the food, so did the second time. But this third time the service was terrible. We asked Melissa to bring us a quiche to share as kind of appetizer (3 people) plus each ones order. She asked if she should split the quiche, we said yes. Took about 25 min to come back with the quiche split in 2 and at the same time she brought all the other orders. So, basically the table was full of food, we were running to finish the quiche so the rest wouldn't get cold (eggs Benedict). I ordered through postmates, there is a problem between Mimis and postmates and I received the wrong food, I was given something that actually made me sick something i dont and cant eat. My family took me here for a birthday lunch here. We have went to this location for years and it's always been a place you can reply on for consistent quality. We hadn't eaten here since covid times started. It was so bad I felt guilty that my family actually had to pay for it. Tables felt sticky and not very clean. My food was tasteless, bread hard as a rock, corn chowder was too thick and the corn tasted old and stale. My iced tea tasted like bleach or some sort of cleaner. The lemonade tasted like water. Sadly there wasn't one good thing about our meal. Even the fries weren't as good as any drive thru fries. Server was friendly, but overall service very slow and it wasn't busy at all. What happened to Mimi's?? It was so dirty. The floor was disgustingly dirty. The carpet was just as gross. The women's bathroom smelled so bad, like sewer, and the floor was sticky and dirty. My husband ordered pot roast and it looked like a grayish brown brick. No gravy, just a rectangle of meat. I ordered a French dip with French fries, which was just ok, but barely warm. Wow, after visiting the Fort Apache location, I was expecting a similar experience. Boy was I wrong! This location is no where near as clean as the other. It was not filthy but it was not as clean as the other location. The service was beyond terrible. They were totally understaffed and the two servers on duty really didn't give two sh!ts about the patrons. It might have something to do with it being so busy with not enough help. I patronized Mimi's for many years when I lived in Las Vegas. The food was always excellent. I'm visiting now and I don't know what has happened. The restaurant was empty and the breakfast was horrible. Lukewarm latte, cold and runny eggs (I requested poached medium and even the whites were uncooked), the server then suggested runny white was poached medium.
