My sister used to rave about this salon years ago so I went about 7 times total so far... On my 4th visit I got a spa pedicure and the man gave me a chemical burn and i couldn't walk on my soles of my feet for 3 days and spent the night in urgent care and had to take off work due to the pain and I called to let them know and they did absolutely nothing for me. Haven't been in a long time and yesterday decided to give it another try.... NEVER AGAIN!!... I had a long day at work and this was my last stop before I went home to go to bed and I was tired and looking to unwind and relax... i got a mani and pedi and the young girl must of asked me 25 times if I was OK.... I told her I was tired I was closing my eyes to relax and she honestly took forever and I'm impatient already and wanted it to be over with it was definatly not enjoyable and I will never return again because if I said I was OK once or twice there's no reason to keep asking me.... fucking annoying. Gave them a try again. Absolutely HORRIBLE! I took my daughter here for a full set - almond shape. I have never met someone as nasty as Lam. My 11 year old told her to please stop filing them, as they were too short. Lam was so nasty, raising her voice to my daughter. What's the point of getting tips to file them all the way down???? She said my daughter told her to cut them shorter.... Ok, but then Lam kept filing and filling so my daughter asked her to please stop. Lam then wants to get nasty with me??? I had one of the worst experiences when it comes to my nails at the salon. (For reference I used to frequent this nail salon last year, when there was a male technician that worked on my nails.) I went early on a Sunday and I was the only one in the salon at the time, so I expected slow and steady work, since I know designs are typically difficult to do on small nails. My technician was practically silent the entire time, and when she first finished the design , the hearts looked worse than they did in the photos I provided, they were sloppy and and uneven and looked more like smudges. I said this to her and she went back to fix them, but you can tell it doesn't look much better. Not only did she ignore my request of filing down the nails. There are was still acrylic dust and gunk left under my nails and I was doing this all while being swarmed by flies. overall, I felt very unwelcomed. Many of the technicians were sitting on the pedicure chairs, barefoot, whispering, and laughing while looking at me. When she finally finished. I got up to wash my hands, by the time I got back though they had already seated another client in my chair while my purse and phone were STILL on the table. The typical price of acrylics is $40 but they up charged me $15 dollars for the horrible design and five more dollars for gel that I didn't ask for. So in total I walked out paying $60. My boyfriend, being extremely upset at the quality of my nails for the price that we paid, had me go back and request that they redo my nails. The manager of the salon (I assume) took me to the back and redid my nails. She was actually quite nice and respectful throughout the whole process, but that didn't mean that the workers weren't coming up to us and gossiping with her the entire time over me. Overall I'm a very nonconfrontational person and very rarely do I ever tell workers that I am dissatisfied with something I received, because I really don't like to complain. But when you're working minimum wage and decide to treat yourself but end up $60 deep in a bad manicure, you be pretty upset too. read more

i've gone here multiple times and never had such a negative experience as I did last week 5/13. i'm not sure of the name of the lady who did my nails since she wasn't wearing a tag of any kind. not only did she rush my service and made my nails incredibly thin (they're breaking not even a week into having them), but i watched her use the same nail file that she used on me on herself. and then used the file on me AGAIN. without sanitizing it or disinfecting it. nothing at all. i was too in shock to say anything, but working in the beauty industry myself this is a big deal and incredibly disgusting and unhygienic. i will never go to their salon again. they should be investigated by the state. read more

Went here to get a pedicure and gel manicure. Pedicure was great until it was time to get my nails done. I've been growing out my nails for 2 weeks to have them look good for when i get them done, I tell the women doing them that I am trying to grow them out and to please not take off the length but she can shape them and make them look clean. She started filing my nails and after she put the gel polish on I put my hand in front of the fan and took a look at my nails. My jaw dropped, my nails were gone. So short and crooked I almost started crying in the salon.I calm myself down and say to myself to trust the process and maybe in the end it won't look that bad. When she's done putting on the rest of the gel she started filing more to the point where I felt her filing the skin of my nail, it was that short. I was going to say something but I thought she's probably just fixing how crooked it is. When she was done with my nails she basically threw my hands and said "Done. go pay" as i'm washing my hands my fingers are literally burning they were so short. I would've said something to her but what was there to do when she ruined all my hard work of growing my nails out for the last 2 weeks. I got in my car and was crying so bad because how can someone think this is good work? I got home and my boyfriend was telling me he's going to go down there and demand a refund because they were so bad and not what i asked for. Unfortunately I was their last client and they closed at 8 and I work a full time job and didn't have time to go back. My mom said she would go tomorrow and show them the pictures and tell them the issue. The next day she goes in there and explains to the women behind the desk how unhappy I am with my nails while showing her the pictures I took, and apparently the women who did them ran over to them and started telling her how my nails were never long and how she tried to convince me to get tips because of how short they were. 1. The women never said that 2. I said to the nail lady that I am growing them out and don't want length taken off. My mom explains that I am very unhappy and in a lot of pain due to her over filing them. The lady behind the desk says that the next day after getting nails done that it is suppose to hurt? and adds that one time she got her nails done and they hurt so bad the next day she ended up with a fever and that the pain should be gone by tomorrow. That is not normal. While my moms asking for a refund the women says how they're going to end up growing long and healthier because of the dip gel I got. That's not the point, I asked her to not shorten them and that's what she did. If i wanted to ruin my nails i would've gotten acrylics. The lady that did my nails continued to chime in and says that she has me on camera with my nail length and asked if we wanted to see the camera footage and my mom said twice that she wants to see the footage to show that they were never short. The women looked shocked and the women behind the counter shooed her away and was just saying how they'll grow to a good length strong and healthy and offered a $10 gift card. $10 is nothing there when they charge $20 to even just take off the color on your nails. I just got my nails done here. This was the second chance I gave them and I will not be going back. As many other reviews say, the staff aren't the friendliest and my service was rushed meanwhile there were only 3 other people there being serviced. My nail lady didn't speak to me ONCE unless it was to ask me what color I wanted or if the shape was ok or to upsell me. The one worker had her bare feet up on the chairs, laughing and whispering every time my nail tech tried up selling me and I would say no. Then she picked up a phone call towards the end of my service for a few minutes. No hand massage no cuticle oil no back massage. The services are half assed and then they get aggravated if you pay with your credit card and charge you an extra 3% for doing so. read more

This place is so completely filthy, I really don't know how the health inspector hasn't visited this location as of yet. Chairs, UV light stations I don't even want to put my hand in it. Mimi you have to do better job of cleaning and making sure you staff keeps it clean. More than just the "typical" Also the place is infested with flies CONSISTENTLY. Went in for a acrylic soak off.... I asked them 3 times to soak them as I didn't want my real nails cut. They proceeded to keep cutting them with a cuticle cutter and wedging a nail tip in between the acrylic and my really nails. I was in so much pain I got up and left. My nails r bent back the wrong way and cracked everywhere. They really need to work on listening and customer service I shouldn't have to repeat myself 3 times and still not get what I asked for. And the final straw is when I went with a friend and they took off half her eyebrow and and my other friend who went with us nail got infected from your horrible manicure. You should be ashamed!! I have been going to Mimi since I was 17 (now 34). She started at LI PRO then opened this business as her own. Her attention to detail and customer service is unmatched. You can always walk in and I've never had to wait longer then 10minutes , there are always plenty of people and chairs to assist you. They do the absolute best spa pedicures and nails, they will accommodate any style/design you want. Just show a picture and they will do their best to make sure you walk out of there 100% satisfied. I will never go to another nail salon, you just do not get treated the same anywhere else. Mimi really cares for her customers and you always feel welcome walking through her doors. Please do not waste your time. My daughter went in to get a mani pedi ( first time pedi) as she is a flower girl for the first time. The woman was a total jerk. Rushed so fast she hardly got the paint on her toes. After she moved on to her hands she rushed the didn't even file and cut my daughters fingers but yet you want to charge me a for a full price gel manicure. So why don't you take your time and do it right. After she cut her finger she didn't even apologize! I told her to SLOW down! No one was waiting for. Did a crap job, didn't do a painted design, just put a sticker on that is peeling up and off. Place is very unsanitary. The woman who did my nails ( Vikcki) was nice but sharing of hand and foot files grosses me out and everything around is dirty. Awful. Not sure if they are under new management but I went there about a year and a half ago for an acrylic set and actually quite liked it. Went this evening to get my first mani pedi since COVID started and walked out on the verge of angry tears. This manicure was a joke. Never have a had such a rushed manicure. I got a yellow paint and this women hastily slapped on 2 streaky coats and sent me on my way. It gets worse though. This woman used such a harsh nail file that she left my natural nails jagged (pictured on the tips of my index and ring finger). She tried to upsell me for gel but I said I just wanted regular polish. She insisted again saying "regular will just chip when you get home." Well she sure did her best to try to make sure of it. Finally, on top of it all, staff were in and out of the pedicure chairs, lounging, the whole time I was there. Didnt see them wipe them down when they got up so it doesnt look like this place is too strict about COVID precautions either. I felt so stupid for not complaining in person AND for still tipping but I've been harassed for such at other establishments. I'm also disappointed because I brought someone else with me whose first time it was. I was so mad for having spoke highly of this place sobmany times just for this terrible experience. I'm giving this place four stars because I don't wanna completely bash the place down on my first time being there. I had an appointment set up and as soon as I walked in they were available to help me right away which was convenient. The interior of the location is very nice and well put together. A man did my manicure and was very nice overall but the quality of the work I feel like wasn't there compared to the service. He didn't ask me how I wanted my nails shaped and pretty much just did whatever was easy for him. I really like when people ask what type of shape I want and he barley even filled the nails at al so that really made me disappointed in the service. The nail salon is pretty and I don't mind paying the $25 for a gel manicure I just think it's smarter for me to try a different nail tech before completely giving up on a place. The staff was nice and gave me water when I needed it and treated me like a welcomed guest so I will be returning to try someone else out. read more

I went here for a pedicure recently and the girl who did it did a good job and was not too hard with the massage which I liked. I have to mention that they did not even ask for my information in case they needed to trace who was there for Covid. When it came time to pay the owner kept asking me if I was paying cash and I said no, I am paying with my debit card. She kept saying cash and I asked if they take cards and she said yes but they want cash payments and the next time I have to bring cash! Well guess what Mimi? There isn't going to be a next time! I got good service... until I went to pay..that's when all hell broke loose! they tried charging me $110 for 3 pedicures and 2 manicures. It was me and my two sons (one of which was seven years old.) They charged me $60 for a manicure and pedicure for myself $30 for a manicure and pedicure from my son (clear nail polish mind you) and $20 for a non existent manicure that he never received an a pedicure. She threatened to call the police on me when I demanded her to show me a video of them doing a manicure (that they never did) I even went as far as showing her my child's nails that were still a little dirty (boys) and clearly untouched and she still was swearing that they did one!! I have been a loyal customer of Mimi nail Salon for years, and I am the type of person that it takes alot for me to complain. I noticed some time back that I was being assigned the newer nail technicians and I wasn't over joyed with the final product of my nails. I am very big on designs and expect my nail technician to know their trade. I am a very good tipper and it seemed like I went from the better nail technician to the beginners. Even after I was requesting and scheduling appoinments. I had a gel-fill in and my design was a sticker that looked like a 15year old would wear, I am extreamly disappointed in the nail technicians, I actually took the time to notice the unprofessionalism of the staff and its sad to recognize why I now understand why so many are leaving Mimi's that was once a great spot, They have declined in staying with the times and have not elevated their colors, their way of doing their craft.
