I've never left a bad review before, but after experiencing the most horrible dip powder manicure, I feel I need to warn others! I went to this salon on Saturday afternoon and paid $45 for my dip powder mani only to have 2 of my nails BREAK today (not even 5 days later). I've been getting dip powder manis for years and have never experienced such horrible service. Took almost 2 hours for the manicure and the guy used the tool used to remove acrylic base instead of fully soaking and filing off the previous gel powder. read more

If I could give them nothing I would. By far disgusted!!! Owner herself was nasty! Her employee was nice, but she was terrible. If you say no, good because this nail salon was by far disgusting. I paid for my $67 pedicure and they expected $45 for this crappy work. After I asked it to be fixed the 3rd time I got called "very picky" and am disgusted by their service. All I wanted was plain black powder gel manicure, I was not rude I just asked if they could clean it up, touch up the missing spots and smooth it out. I told them I was not paying for their manicure, but I would pay for my pedicure and they could simply take it all off my nails. I even paid $10 extra to remove my acrylics. Nastiest place ever and the woman owner is rude! They also are not following any CDC guidelines, my temperature was not taken, there was no dividers or curtains to separate clients, they use the same powder gel container for everyone. DISGUSTING! This was my end product and got told in her 15 years of experience how dare she be told how bad her work is get the hell out of her nail salon! Ending result done by the owner herself.. left paying $77 yet I had the worse experience ever. read more

I made an appointment to have a fill in after reading reviews online and checking out the website. Got to my appointment and was taken on time. However, according to the website, it stated that acrylic fill ins were $18 which is why I made the appointment. Also, I had seen the gal ahead of me get a massage while her nails were drying so I thought this was a good place. My nails came out just average and sort of lumpy and when she charged my debit card she said $36. I almost fell out of my chair. I said your website states $18. I have lived in Holbrook for over 2 years and have tried every single nail place imaginable and of course I never thought to try Shining Century Nails even though they were located down the block. I finally went and have to say they are so nice and super clean and my manicure lasts me almost 2 weeks and that's after having 2 kids and washing dishes. I highly recommend them. read more

. I got the dip gel powder.. With gel color polish which I was charged additional for! Well he never even filed them down to smooth them out, almost all my nail are lumpy and bumpy and they are all chipping I paid $50 when I could paid $10 for the kit and done a better job my self!!! I'm so upset I won't even go back to have them fix it.. I probably should have said something when he asked if they were good but I thought he meant the square tip.. And I thought he wasn't done. The worst salon I have ever been to. First time I went I got a gel manicure within 3 days the gel polish began to crack. Had to pay to have them remove the gel polish. Second time I got just a manicure. Again it's been 3 days and most of the paint has chipped off. I haven't put my hands through anything that would make my polish chip. It's just cheap polish and crappy work. I had paint on my skin around my nails. Overall it looked like a child painted it. I went with my friend and hers chipped off the next day.
