Had a terrible first experience here. The lady who did my nails had a bad attitude and was very rough with my nails. Shortened one of my nails past the quick (irritated my skin and has been hurting since) and made 3 of my cuticles bleed. They were soooooo aggressive with my entire pedicure!! Filed all the way through my toenail to my skin even, and it hurt like hell. Lady acted like she wanted to take a years worth of anger out of my toes. I should have stopped it and left after the first five minutes. The massage wasn't even a massage, which is one of the only reasons I even get pedicures. 10/10 do NOT recommend this place. read more

My nails always last almost a month or longer && my brows last for 3 weeks or more before looking rough lol To top off the quality of the salon the prices are inexpensive ! I have gotten my nails done here in the past and loved them. After the experience I had last week, I will NEVER go back! I got my upper lip and brows waxed for a whopping $16. The first lady was nice but dripped the wax on my face and it hurt. After examining her work I let her know there were several hairs left behind (my brows didn't even look like they had been waxed) she went back over a few spots with unsanitized tweezers she grabbed from a drawer. She didn't even bother trimming them. I was fed up with pointing out spots she had missed, paid and left. BIG MISTAKE. I looked in my car mirror and noticed they still looked crappy for the price I paid so I decided to give the salon a call and ask for a refund. They refused to refund me until I came and proved to them what my eyebrows looked like. So I turn around and go back in and the manager asked me to go to the back so she could see. I go back there and she sits me down and begins tweezing my eyebrows again! I told her I have tweezers at home that can do the same thing and that I didn't have time to do it. She ignored my request and she tells me she just wants to make me happy. I let her know the only thing that will make me happy is a refund which she refused to do. Long story short no point in going here. They could care less if the customer is happy as long as they get paid. I recommend going next door to get threading instead! My lady was out of town so I went here at a co workers recommend. So never going back!!! First she cut my nails way to short and I feel declawed. She charged 40.00 for a gel refill (told me 17 and when i went to pay charged my card for 40) and you can see the old lines on 4 of my nails. It is a off color brown(non smoker) from whatever chemicals she used and you can see it under the Gel, and now I'm freaking out about fungus. DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!!!! CHECK YOUR RECEIPT!!! All I got was a crappy fill where my nails are too short and looks like I did them myself!!!!!!!! I could of probably done better, at least I would of filed off the old lines........ read more

I'm a total fan of Gel nails and my regular person was out of town so I went on the search in Valley Ranch for a salon that carries the OPI Gel brand. I called on the phone a week before my appointment and they told me they charged $20. I go in (walk-in) and sit down to get my manicure. The man who did the prep (filing, etc) was very nice and good at what he did. Then a young man did my gels. He would not stop flirting with me. Very inappropriate. Most important though, my manicure looks awful and they charged me $30 not the $20 the said on the phone. I decided not to fight with them and just never go there again and pay it. The gel looks sloppy. The edges are all coming over the nail bed. For $30 I expect a better manicure. Also, they had very limited colors for gels. Only like 10 max I would say. So had to settle for this bright pink. Do not recommend. I do recommend Lux Nail Salon though. For $5, SO MUCH WORTH IT! Flawless gels. Very disappointed. read more

I saw Mimi Nail Salon while I was driving around Irving and decided to stop. I so wish I had checked the reviews first. I was getting my nails done for my sister's wedding and they are absolutely the worst solar nails I've ever gotten. 3 of my cuticles were bleeding by the time I left, and several fingernails were misshapen. It has been less than a week and already several are cracked or about to come off, which has never happened in all the years I've been getting my nails done like this. They also left glue underneath my nails and had a gap on one of the nails between the fake one and the real one that dirt kept getting stuck in. If I could give less than a star, I would. read more

I visit this location about 3 to 4 times a year but this time was my last. I arrived for a pedicure and acrylic overlay on my nails (never had this service). Pedicure was normal but the overlay was HORRIBLE. I told her at the beginning I wanted natural looking nails. She took it upon herself to make my nails long. When I told her they were too long she told me I wanted too short. She began to filed my nails and asked if I wanted square or round. I told her round and she filed them square. When I told her that's not round she said she wanted to make sure that's what I wanted "most people want square". After she filed them round and to the length I wanted I realized they were super thick when I asked for a thinner natural looking nail she chuckled, shook her head as said out loud "you do too much". Have been here before without a problem, but will not be going back now. Came in for a pedi only. Had only one employee working. One customer in pedi chair and one getting nail tips ahead of me. Wasnt in a major rush so I waited. I specifically said classic pedi, pointed to it on upper left of price list, which she saw and repeated back to me. When almost done with pedi, Second employee came in. She said something to her in another language. After a few minutes, the second employee put a pillow in my lap and a bowl of water at my hand. Ok? She was on her phone and started doing something to my hand. Started to think that maybe because of my "inconvenience" , they were throwing in a complimentary mani (rarely get). The girl kept wanting to paint my fingernails a color and I kept refusing (can't because of work). at register my $25 pedi came out to $37, rang up by employee I started with. I clearly pointed out that I'd asked for a pedi only and pointed to same place on list and that's all I signed up for. Oh that was for mani and pedi. That's not what I asked for. i thought you were doing it for my inconvenience? ! So she said she'd do it for $30. Still more than $25 on list. So she recharged card and wanted me to sign new slip. I then asked where the slip was for the refund of the first charge so that it did not end up being over $67 for a pedicure . Only then did She take the card back and process refund and she almost took the receipt showing where it was charged correctly. After leaving I, I should have taken very first receipt too. Bank shows charge and refund, I just hope it doesn't show up a third time. That was very sheisty! read more

I had a very nice experience the first time I went there but when I came back for a second time it was the worst experience I've ever had. They made us wait for over 20 minutes without telling us what was going on then when we did get served the lady doing our nails was beyond rude. She was extremely rough on my fingers and didn't apologize when I told her she was hurting my fingers. I get NextGen and you have to take them off each time you get your nails redone, and since the lady doing my nails was so beyond rude and didn't like us, she charged me extra for a removal (even though I've never been charged that before by anyone or by her the last time I came). When I told her that she didn't charge me that before, she said "well the salons down the street charge over $40 for nails" and I told her that there are places right by my house that only charge $30 and have better quality of service. read more
