With an upcoming play date planned between myself and a gf, I was happy that this particular park was picked for our meet up. First things first, this park is MASSIVE! Delano Manongs Park is broken into 10 parts- YES, I SAID 10!! This includes a small and large dog park, multiple gardens, a fitness station, and a number of play structures to keep all your little munchkins happily occupied. The park is very well kept, the restrooms are very doable, and with its large size, there isn't that congested feeling you get with other locations. On top of the many perks, there is a large field to kick or throw around a few balls. The only flaw- and might I add that it is a big one- is the lack of actual shade. Your relief from the sun's powerful rays is limited to the gazebo where the benches are or using the large flower structures as a shield. 5/5 stars all in all. This is lots of fun for kids of all ages.

Ride your bike around the lake or if you have a little one have them burn their energy riding a bike, scooter, or roller skate. It has a small parking lot located in a safe neighborhood. There are no bathrooms at this park.

Due to being part of a community, there are a ton of guest parking (especially near the gates to this park) BUT if you keep driving, the parking lot for this "park" is on the outside (you turn in with the sign "HIDDEN PARK LAKE" in green lettering/tanish brown background and there are a few spots for you to pick from). Two stairways up to other flat cement ground trails. Very quarry lake vibes but not much water. Lake itself is a smaller circular flat cement ground leveled trail. Regarding up the stairs: One way does end up at another park whereas the other way just ends up in another neighborhood/main road. Lack of shade. Lots of ducks. There's few places to sit. Few trash bins. No visible toilets.

After you get to the first temple with all the white buddha statues, there is a bit of an uphill hike that can get pretty slipper if you don't have the right footwear. I was seeing seniors ascend with ease and feeling pretty weak ngl lol It is an extremely well maintained and beautiful trek up, super serene full of views and lots of positive energy. They have bathrooms once you get to the statue part. We saw deer and they have a lot of pretty blossoming trees and bamboo, definitely a workout so just be prepared to ascend a lot!

I don't think that older people or people with injuries can hike without difficulties. I feel like it has a lot going on the more I go around the area. It has Buddhists statues that are really big and it stands nicely. But, if you go down towards the left you see Christian figures sparse and it's randomly placed. It has saints but no Jesus but 3 crosses across from a small shrine. Even for someone like me who has ADHD I feel like it was just disorganized and I'm not sure what to think. Also, when you look closer to the top of the steps you go towards the left and it speaks about Vietnamese people. It was too much for me to really understand what the builder was doing, maybe way too much and not a deeper understanding about the human race, his race and different religions. It didn't have anything about Muslims which if you want to be honest it excludes that religion. So, I don't know the intent about the builder and the reason behind any of the randomness and placement of spiritual elements and non spiritual elements with one ethnic group. Besides that, the place sits on a humongous acres about 360 acres of land. Which is vastly large but it sits on a hillside. The view is nice and it overlooks the golf course. But, other than that I don't really feel you can do much except hike and watch others hike and go down quickly.

Sunny park, grass is (really) green and fresh, houses surrounded the park are very new and all looks clean and not very frequented (even though there is a nice size playground for kids). There is some sculpture art as well. I would use this park mostly for picnics during my lunch time some days. There are couples doing things together, walking, picnics, etc, which is cool for anyone considering this an affordable way to have a date. While there are a few transients rummaging about, all in all, everyone seems to be enjoying themselves, which makes for a wonderful time when the weather here in San Jose definitely provides a shine. Because of how busy the park can get, it's recommended to call the local park line in order to reserve the tables with grills, if one is considering having their own outing any time soon. It's a very large park though but 70% of the area has basically just grass and trees. It's like a regional park but a lot smaller. Not many people come to this park but you'll see many coming from an area where the playgrounds are at. They should kinda add more sport areas or play places in the park just to maybe fill up some spaces.

It seems dog friendly enough with a dog enclosure and easy to stroll around and walk your dog. There's a nice grassy area in the center and I noticed a few instances of owners playing catch with their dogs off-leash. There are picnic tables by the playground and public bathrooms all in the same area. The only water fountain I found was by the picnic/playground/bathroom area and it had a lower fountain for dogs. **Dog park: The dog area was really small, all dirt with one bench. Big dog and small dog are separated but the size is pretty similar to each other with the big dog having just a LITTLE bit more space. It was empty for me except for 1 dog owner but I wonder if there would be more dogs after-work hours for some socialization :-) you would have to walk a little but further down to the main area for water fountain.

We wanted to find a park that is relatively new/in good condition and not too crowded to let the little ones safely play. I'm honestly surprised that this isn't a more popular place to bring your kids. I suppose a part of it is because it is a neighborhood park without dedicated parking, although there is plenty of street parking. With that being said, the play area is gated so it is safe to let your children roam with supervision, the play structures are all in very good condition and the padded flooring is intact across the park. Very suitable for toddlers and older children, they even have a baby changing station inside of the bathroom, as well as adequate drinking fountains and drinking fountains for dogs. We were there on a Saturday morning, from 9 to 10am and were the only family there the entire time. This is completely different compared to some of the other parks in Sunnyvale or San Jose, where it can become a zoo by that time. We will definitely be setting up future play dates here.

Very peaceful area, even on a weekend. + Plenty of parking available ($6 per car) + Clean restroom, even stocked with pads and tampons + Dogs allowed Note: none of us had any cell phone service there, so make sure to coordinate beforehand and enjoy the present moment! I'll have to come back another time to walk around more and maybe try my hand at catching some fish in the lake.

There is a lot of fishing space, some on muddy terrain, and some over rocks and grass. People were paragliding and hang gliding on the beautiful lush green hills next in the back. If the only thing you can do is walk, then it's a great one filled with much wildlife like cute hawks and birds; not too short not too long with plenty of shade if you stick near the lake with dispersed picnic tables, and that wonderful view. Cell phone service here sucks. They have barbecue pits and fish cleaning stations. Definitely a hidden bay area gem.
