First visit ever to this establishment. Jamie and Bethany gave incredible service. They made the wait for food enjoyable with their laughter and friendly conversation. The team of friendly guys that worked in the kitchen worked quickly and provided amazing food. Being from CA we get picky about our food. I dont say this lightly, but these are the best fries in all of Alabama! Bethany was not wrong when she suggested dessert and mentioned we should try the Hot Fudge Cake. She said it was fun to make. But I can assure you it was more fun to eat. I'm definitely going to have to make this my home away from home. Even though my sister is 20 minutes from this restaurant. I always have bragged so much in milners until today I went and got a hamburger and fries and when I got home it was the worst hamburger I have ever had from there . It was so covered in a sauce til the bread was wet and made the burger completely uneatable I threw it away . So sad due to the money I spent . Will think twice before I go again . read more

Wavered between a 3 and a 4 star rating, but settled on a 4, because it's good for what it is and I enjoyed myself. I found myself here for a late lunch yesterday after working nearby. I'd seen someone talking about how nostalgic they were for the chicken tenders from this place in an article I saw on Al.com or somewhere similar, so I thought I'd stop in to give them a try. Milner's fits in a category of restaurant that I've seen a solid few of but I don't really know what to call. It's like a Zaxby's x Dairy Queen fusion with a sprinkling of meat & three. They have tenders, burgers, sandwiches, plate lunches, and of course ice cream! There's ample parking. Both the interior and exterior of the restaurant show the place's age, but the floors, tables, and counters looked clean, and I spotted employees regularly coming out to wipe down tables and tidy up, which is really all I care about. You order at the counter here. Service was very patient and warm. It does look like they have a drive through, which I didn't notice at first. My food, once ordered, came out quickly, but not so quickly I had cause to believe it wasn't fresh. I ordered the three tender "snack," which is a meal format I associate with these types of places. Three moderately sized tenders, fries, a roll, and special/comeback sauce. It's plenty for a meal and with an added tea, quite affordable at only around $8.50. I do like my tenders a little bit crispier, but on the bright side these retained a good bit of juiciness and were void of any weird gristly or cartilaginous bits. I also really enjoyed the sauce. Typical mayo-ketchup comeback sauce, but sweet and creamy and with a healthy dose of pepper. The fries were of the frozen-fried crinkle cut variety but they were very hot, very crispy, and salted nicely and I enjoyed them. The roll is also storebought, but also fine. For a sub-$10 lunch, I was pretty happy. The only big drawback was the sweet tea, which I didn't like at all. It tasted almost like dishwater and was neither sweet enough or tea-y enough -- just low on flavor overall. I'll skip that and get a soft drink instead next time. Would return for a fast local lunch. I recently moved to the Cullman area, and I took my family out on a Sunday drive. I looked at Google Maps to find ice cream shops in my area, I noticed Milner's Dairy Delight located in Arab. It was a 30-minute drive in the country. Sometimes, I try places and I wonder why I even made the effort. However, Milner's Dairy Delight was a delight. My wife had an ice cream cup with Oreo's and my son had the banana split. I ordered a vanilla milk shake. I usually take a few sips and throw the ice cream away. But this has to be the best soft serve ice cream I've had in years. I couldn't believe the taste and texture. This tasted like something from years ago in my youth. I was so happy. Awesome local establishment. Milner's has been here for longer than I have been alive. My personal favorite sandwich is the club. Ask for chicken sauce for your fries. Well we drove up here from Guntersville just to eat and I won't be back. The hamburger is a very thin frozen piece of garbage and the fries were soggy. I know it's Sunday after noon but the standard of food quality should be better than this. It takes no extra time or money to make a fresh great burger. You really expect that at a place like this. We paid $16 for two burger combos, ridiculous for what we got. There is literally a meat market in Arab, there is no reason not to have fresh hamburgers made. read more

Had grilled cheese deluxe which is always AWESOME. BUT their ice cream is AWESOME, not like other ice cream place . The "jumbo burger" sounds big and costs quite a bit but it's the equivalent of most restaraunts cheapest burger. Everyone around us had big burgers with all the fixings and had ordered a regular cheeseburger. I would recommend changing the name or lowering the price for a small burger with only ketchup, mustard, and onions. Btw, the footlong hotdog is just 2 regular dogs in a large bun for over $6 for combo. The onion rings were good. read more

I was driving back home to Nashville the Scenic Way, and I was looking at stopping somewhere to get a shake. Stumbled upon this place and got a nice peanut butter shake well the lady got a strawberry sundae, and both were definitely tops. We can get Dairy Queen anytime, but it always seems the local Dairy places are a bit better. read more

I have spotted Milner's Dairy Delight several times while traveling up to Huntsville. Today, I finally pulled the trigger on seeing what I can find. I was dying for a chocolate milkshake and found to my horror, they only use vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup. Booooo! Hey Jack's is just up the road and they use real, hand-dipped ice cream in their milkshakes...and they are cheaper! Why does a place with the name dairy delight only have vanilla ice cream and syrup? It's been around since 1962 and that just doesn't fly in 2016 except for the loyal customers that it has had for decades. Sooo I decided not to go with a milkshake, but didn't want to be rude and just leave the cashier and restaurant without anything. In hindsight, that would have been the better choice. I just decided to go for a sweet tea instead and it was sour. I was in a hurry so I didn't say anything, but by now I had determined I don't want another piece of Milner's Dairy Delight...I would just go up the road to Jack's for a hand-dipped milkshake with real ice cream or across the road to Dairy Queen. Whoever says a mom's and pop's place is better than corporation would change their tune after the disappointment of Milner's. I would have given it a 3 for just the milkshake disappointment. I'm almost tempted to give it a 1, but something tells me any ice cream with so many choices and the fact it has been open for over 50 years doesn't make it all bad. read more
