The quote Rob prepared for us was very fair and easy to understand. He got us on his installation schedule right away and completed the work super quickly and efficiently (especially considering our young kids looking on and asking him a million questions while he was working). He took the time and care to include additional downspout bends to work around our deck framing-- definitely above and beyond the level of attention to detail we were expecting. The gutters look fantastic, and now after several months of use (which have included a few very heavy rains) they're performing as designed. Really great experience all around with Rob at Austin Rain Gutter Solutions.

But after reading their spectacular reviews and realizing how genuinely invested Sam was in ensuring a positive experience, I decided to trust him with the job of painting our home. They painted everything from the trim, soffits, fascia, metal window lintels, railings, gutters, garage, siding, and doors. From the moment his team arrived to pressure-wash the entire house, through the meticulous caulking of the perimeter and the painstaking care they took taping around the brick and rock edges, I was thoroughly impressed. You'd have to go to their website https://www.swatchexteriorpainting.com to see the amount of detail they go into. In fact, Sam's employees are paid by the job, but I actually had to ask him whether they were paid by the hour. Their patience, precision, and attention to detail were that remarkable. It was clear that they weren't simply there to get the job done, they genuinely cared about doing it right.

Kinda…read morestrange because I would think a slab was already paid for & the remnant was leftover, so why be greedy on the remnant price. The real kicker is their outrageous fabrication & installation price. Most places I searched, the price of the material, fabrication & install was less than their fabrication & installation price. But you can purchase the remnant & have a fabricator pick up the piece. They have two locations with remnants. The second, a smaller selection I was told (with a different name) is very slow to respond, if they respond at all. So, I'm not sure what to expect for service for anything else.

I was scammed, ghosted, and lied to…read morefor months by Will/Guillermo Figari, ultimately losing over $5,700 and setting my home renovation back over 2 months. I purchased a home that had floors installed by Luma Hardwoods / The Hardwood Agency (he seems to go by multiple business names and actual names as referenced by other reviewers). I had some water damage and reached out to Luma to match the floors that were previously installed in the home. Then things unfolded as described below: January 12 - I paid for the order in full (that was a mistake) and Will said the order would be stateside in a month (supposedly it was coming from Italy, but I think that was actually untrue as well) Feb 6, Feb 16, Feb 20, Feb 23, March 3 - Texted, called, Emailed - no response from Will March 4 - He finally responded and said the order had not shipped from Italy and he agreed to cancel my order (since he couldn't provide tracking or any kind of accurate update on when the product would ship or arrive) March 4 - March 22 - Emailed, called, texted asking for a refund - no response. I am currently disputing this with my bank and will be joining the list of other customers Will has scammed by opening a small claims case in Travis County. Please don't make the same mistake I did and get scammed by this company. EDIT: Will has been saying my refund is "in process" for weeks now, over a month after my order was cancelled and he agreed to provide a refund. I have filed a police report, reported him to Better Business Bureau, filed an IC3 claim, and will continue to spread the word in the hopes that he doesn't rip anyone else off.

It went in similar pattern where he delayed the stock delivery by more than 2 weeks after multiple follow ups , he finally gave up saying your stock is not delivered and you can opt for cancellation and refund. He never sent the cancellation order and doesn't reply to phone calls or messages. This looks like completely fraudulent company where we are now filing a suit against this company. This is all such an emotional stress and lot of financial loss. Plz take my review in all sincerity and don't get into this trap. This will be a long review as I've used Vertex for 4 years now…read more Great handy man, Nick and Scott (his dad) - they've worked on my house since the first day I've owned it and I always have them work on it (i own a 30 year old townhome so there's a lot of work to be done). They are VERY thorough and have a high quality of work. If you need work done on your own house, they are the guys to hire (although if you also rent out property, they can for sure do that too). Things they have done: Install Fence - CHECK! Fence is going on 4 years now and its still standing up. I had to paint/stain it last year as it was getting weathered. Overall, great quality fence. House siding: Replaced the entire back of my house's side and they did it really fast. Nick is a wrecking crew! He will dismantle anything so fast its not even funny! Inside house paint: Nick and Scott worked on the house before i moved in (2008), the taped and floated all the cracks, painted and textured - 4years later, no cracks, no nothing. Same quality as the first year! Installed kitchen sink, fixed leaking AC unit - yes, Nick also does this kind of stuff. My AC unit is located upstairs and 3 years ago, it started leaking. Called him and and he fixed the leak. Patio Roof - First patio roof lasted 2-3 years (not sure exactly) and it started leaking since the roof wasnt slanted right which caused puddles of water to form on top. After a couple of years, i talked to Nick about it and he said he will fix it. Came by, planned it and we bought the materials and he built it in a day! PLUS, he didnt charge me that much for labor as he felt he was making it right with the first roof version. Even though the old roof was more than 2 years old! I dont think i'll hire anyone else to work on my house... even if he's booked by other jobs, i'll wait until he can work on my projects.

Very pleased with the work they did, and I recommend them…read more I work long hours and I travel, bought new furniture from IKEA, and had little time to spend a day assembling the furniture by myself. I'm just not as handy as when I was younger, and frankly I just have no time. So when I bought the furniture, IKEA recommended Konkord Assembly. I called Konkord, they seemed to know a lot about IKEA furniture and the price seemed great, but I was concerned with calling a national phone number calling service to dispatch someone local. I want to call someone local who will stand by their work, and I can call them directly if I have questions or problems. That, plus I found some negative yelp reviews about Konkord in other cities which made me nervous. So I googled for "austin furniture assembly" and the first result was Vertex. Website said they're a family business. Called them, and sure enough it sounded like I called a family home and not some answering service. They knew a lot about IKEA furniture, and they sounded as professional as you'd expect a handyman to be. I was a little nervous about an hourly quote, but they seemed professional enough on the phone, I figured let's give them a try. We scheduled the work in 2 days. They showed up right on time, to the minute! 2 guys- one older, one younger (I figure they were related but I didn't ask). They came with plenty of tools and fully prepared to work from the moment they stepped in the door. I only showed them the rooms & the boxes of furniture, explained what I wanted, and they immediately started. I had them dis-assemble and discard my old bed, assemble my new IKEA bed with nightstand, and disassemble/move/reassemble a glass & metal desk into another room. Disassembling & discarding the old bed took about as much time as assembling the new furniture. I was home the entire time, and I could hear them working non-stop while on the clock. When they had a question about placement of furniture or height-settings on the bed frame, they confirmed with me rather than risk making a mistake. Total bill was $150 (which included an extra fee to discard my old bed). In the end, I am happy with the work and price. They were professional, courteous, careful, and very knowledgeable about building IKEA furniture. They billed me for exactly how long it took, with no surprises or hidden fees. I do realize I could have found a better price elsewhere, but for the quality of service, I'm happy and would use them again.
