This was a great find as I was dropping off my dry cleaning. I had been in another Hallmark store in the area a couple of weeks ago and couldn't wait to get out of there. It was crowded and the lady working there wouldn't even speak to me. All Hallmark stores are not created equally. This one is a winner. This store was particularly well organized and the ladies working here were so nice and friendly. I was looking for a birthday card for my uncle's 100th birthday and was happy to have 3 options. That may not seem like much of an option but some places don't carry one card for 100th birthdays. If you're looking for cards or just a unique gift option give this place a try.

Part of their incredible inventory: includes Swavorski, Lladro, Lenox, Dept 56. 2.5.17

The best! Not a typical hallmark store. They have every gift, theme, village, everything. Love it!

Went by Millie's this morning and there's a sign on the door that they are temporarily closed. Was very disappointed.

Whether…read moreyou're looking for a new book or a bouquet, Wijaya is a great place to buy a gift for someone or to treat yourself. I've visited a couple times now, but on my most recent visit, I attended one of their ticketed flower bouquet making events. You can find a wide range of artsy book-related or flower-related events on their website. For this class, it was learning how to make a spiral bouquet. It was so fun learning this technique and leaving with a a bouquet that I had designed! Also, the owner is super kind and her patience and help with me while I made my bouquet was greatly appreciated. Can't wait to try another class!

I was immediately greeted by a young friendly woman at the front who left me to peruse the store. There's a selection of books for everyone, with sections for various genres housed on the east wall and within their bookcases and tables. I love the idea of a blind date with a book, and they had no shortage of options! There's a small area containing tees and other merch and, even tho I'm not a big sci-fi fan, I loved the setup they had for the genre! What I hadn't anticipated was the section that had the Sweet Valley Twins books! The nostalgia was HEAVY let me tell you! :) Regardless of how small the store seemed, they do an amazing job of packing in the books and I was impressed that there's literally every type of genre you could want there. Adding to the great vibes are the comfy sitting areas with plush seating, an old typewriter you can crank out 'hellos' to future visitors on, and plants and decor that add charm to some mid century modern furniture. What makes this place so unique though is the assortment of fresh flowers in the back and the flower workshops they hold each week. I haven't gone to one yet, but I plan on it, they look really cool! I highly recommend Wijaya House to any book lover, but especially those that prefer the locally owned to the big box store. I'm planning my next visit soon. :)

I won't give it away--you'll have to go on the tour yourself. Upon arrival, there's free parking on the premises in a designated grassy area. John was a great tour guide--nice, informative, and absolutely hilarious! There were a few places we couldn't see that I personally would've loved to explore, such as the hidden rooms behind the doors and the son's room upstairs. Due to time, those areas weren't included, which was a bit of a bummer. Overall, though, the tour was enjoyable. Since the place was built in the '80s, there aren't really any ghost stories--probably because in the '80s the only ghosts people talked about were the Ghostbusters. The property definitely needs a bit of love. The carpets need cleaning, and the whole place could use a refresh to bring back that '80s charm instead of feeling more like the '50s. I did love the artwork throughout, especially the stair rails, doors, and mural. A small on-site café or coffee spot would be amazing--there's so much potential here to elevate the experience, especially if they plan to maintain it as historic grounds. They no longer host weddings here, which is disappointing since I remember driving by years ago and seeing celebrations happening on the property. Overall, the tour is worth the price and definitely something to check out for yourself. Drink your coffee before you go! And remember: don't touch anything on the tour. It's always embarrassing when the guide has to remind everyone because of that one person who just can't follow the rules. Sheesh! Why is there always that one human?‍ The kitchen was definitely a 80s kitchen. In any case, I recommend checking it out if you're a history buff or just simply need something to do. Tours are held on the weekends in 3 sessions... check their site and get your tickets online. (Subject to change) Tell John that you heard it here! Btw... There's a cute gift shop on premises that sells lavender soaps and trinkets. They also sell sugar cookies and soda No coffee on the premises at all!

I plan to give them another opportunity soon. Disappointed in Customer Service after 2 years of great service and somehow it became my fault? Again, let me start off by saying, great experience first 2 years with Handwrytten! Now, let me tell you about why I am giving them a 1 star review and I would hope that you do your due diligence before using them. Issue 1 - selecting the date you want them to actually mail the cards. Process was easy. This year, "The delay occurred due to the high volume of orders during this year's holiday season." By the way, when selecting a date, the dates that are not available are x out....I selected a date that wasn't x out and more than 2 weeks before I wanted to have them sent. Fail/issue 1. Issue 2 - customer service correspondence. As you can see from issue 1 response, lame excuse. 11 emails going back and forth with CSR (Jessica Koch) and the final one was we have canceled your order and issued a refund. Wait, what?! I received an email confirmation today (which was now 12 days late) that an order in process has been canceled? Was it even in process? If you are a small business owner, relying on another small business owner to perform, use caution here. I have asked for a supervisor to actually discuss this whole mess on the phone and I am still waiting for a response. Meanwhile, I am not SCRAMBLING due to their lack of performance to send out simple Holiday Cards to my clients. UNBELIEVABLE...... I appreciate the response below from the company but canceling the order and issuing a refund is not the desired response! That was the easiest response by them yet it still put me in a situation that I am now in. Holiday cards not being sent and now I am forced to find an alternative with an EXTREMELY short timeline now!! It should have been to expedite the order and some sort of refund for the inconvenience and promise to review their system since the previous 2 orders were placed exactly the same way with a MUCH better result!
