Their selections are not only abundant, but quality-based, unique, and not run of the mill stuff! Being a miniatures lover, their selection of miniature towns, villages, people, characters and dioramas is incredible. It's like visiting a museum, where every artifact is up for purchase. This shop in Ahwatukee could take at least an hour to look at everything the store has. When I need something unique this shop will have it. Along with all things Hallmark. The shop even having the most inventory I have seen at a Hallmark store is very clean and tidy. Not one thing out of place. The team works together well. I hear much communication between the staff. I try to always stop in this shop to get my Christmas cards on clearance. This store never disappoints. While I am there I get my daughter's birthday card too! When I am finally done and go to the register, the staff is on point, quick, and efficient! Can't believe I have not reviewed this place by now. This hallmark store was really helpful. I was looking for a specific Pandora charm that I couldn't find. They offered to call me once it was in stock and set it aside for me to pickup. I went into the Millie's Hallmark thinking that being a card store they would have something very simple, a birthday card for a brother. But much to my surprise there was not even one card for a brother and no empty spaces. Apparently they do not carry any. I looked around and there were only a few people working there that looked like they were around 80 years old. So I knew if I asked any of them where the cards for a brother were I would get a blank stare. You know lights on nobody home. So I left, went down the street to Target, the store that carries, groceries, pharmacy goods etc. they had 12 birthday cards for a brother. I would say stay away from Millie's Hallmark and go somewhere else because they will not have what you want. Not worth the trip. They gets a -10. read more

My dad told me about this place & took me to see it and all I can say is WOW! You can practically get all your Christmas shopping done here, as there is something for everyone. This was a great find as I was dropping off my dry cleaning. I had been in another Hallmark store in the area a couple of weeks ago and couldn't wait to get out of there. It was crowded and the lady working there wouldn't even speak to me. All Hallmark stores are not created equally. This one is a winner. This store was particularly well organized and the ladies working here were so nice and friendly. I was looking for a birthday card for my uncle's 100th birthday and was happy to have 3 options. I like to support local businesses and I can walk to the store, so I recently started buying here instead of Target. But they denied my request to return candles that don't fit in my candle holders because I didn't have the receipt. I told them that I paid with credit card but the facial expression on both their faces told me that there was absolutely no interest in accommodating me. If ever there was a 5* Hallmark Store, Millie's is it! Tremendous selection of cards and gifts, friendly employees, super clean, well organized. That is what you would expect from any Hallmark Store, right? Well, Millie's adds an entire Christmas room with seemingly endless Dept 56 Christmas Village, Snowbabies, decorations, and crèches galore. They also have a wide selection of Swavorski, Lenox (including Disney:) Lladro figurines, a dizzying array of collectors heaven here! They had a sidewalk sale after Christmas with great deals, I scored some cute Hello Kitty items. The staff are all friendly and helpful and remind you of the Hallmark rewards program at checkout. Visiting the area because I collect deptartment 56 and I heard they have amazing displays. Well they did not disappoint! The store is large and beautifully displayed. They have so much merchandise, I was in miniature heaven. The service was awesome, without being overbearing. They let me explore on my own and when I had a question, they were right there ready to answer. I had a very enjoyable afternoon and can't wait to return! They have a great variety of cards from cheap to beautifully expensive. They give you coupons for your next purchase which is awesome! This is the Hallmark of all Hallmarks. If you have never been here, you need to shop here! This place must have millions of dollars in inventory. Seriously. In fact, I have never seen a Hallmark with more and varied inventory than Millie's. My daughter loves coming here every year to check out the villages. I've never seen a bigger or better display of Christmas villages. They even have a Halloween village display that is pretty awesome. This year, we went two days in a row to see the villages and shop. I don't know how this store is able to keep so much in stock. From Swarovski crystal figurines to every other type of figurine, doll and gift, Millie's has it all. If you're looking for something for someone and you don't know what to get, just stop into Millie's Hallmark. It would be hard to leave empty-handed. read more

This Hallmark brings holidays to life and has such a diverse selection. I was at a nearby business when I noticed they had a special holiday event going on. We decided to take a gander and boy was I surprised. The inside is extremely large and split off into various themes. The best room would have to be the room for Christmas themed villages. The displays were huge and they had every Christmas themed movie turned into Christmas towns. There is even an entire section dedicated to Halloween. We picked up some new ornaments for the tree. The only downside would have to be the prices and lack of sales but it is still a great store! read more

Every single time I go to visit Millie's, their selection is terrific. We buy annual Christmas ornaments at Millie's every year, and we visit Millie's multiple times throughout the year for gifts and decorations. Just walking into Millie's gives me a sense of nostalgia and comfort, a pleasant and enjoyable feeling that is so hard to replicate. It's always Christmas and it's always Halloween at Millie's. Where else can you say that about? I advise you to join their email list and the Hallmark rewards club, to ensure you receive email and mail communications regarding in-store events and promotions. Millie's hosts several in store events where they serve breakfast and drinks, and have prize giveaways. They do such a great job of creating a festive buzz. I have always loved Hallmark stores, love to spend time looking at everything. However, every time my husband and I stopped in to shop, we were treated extremely rudely by the cashier. She doesn't make eye contact, is extremely rude and basically looked at me like I was a homeless person who had wandered into the store by accident. Apparently, after reading other reviews from the last few years, others have been treated as badly as I was, probably by the same snippy cashier. Do I LOVE this Hallmark? Absolutely! This is one of the largest Hallmark stores I have ever been in. It has a huge selection of gifts: Vera Bradley, Swarovski crystal products, chocolates, Disney collectibles, snow angel figures... you name it, they have it!!! I don't get to visit this Hallmark as often as I would like, but I come here because they have to have the largest Department 56 houses in the state! Before I found Millie's I would travel to Glendale and go to the Christmas Tree Shop, but they closed. Therefore, I was so happy when I accidentally found this store! Which, leads me to my ding of 1 star. With this big of a place, they need a lot of sales help. Unfortunately for me and my most most recent visit, I drove 30 minutes away to see (and hopefully purchase) a new addition to my Halloween Department 56 collection. The Halloween houses are in the back corner of a dimly lit, small, closet-like room. There were two sales people in there (not sure what they were doing, perhaps re-arranging the room?), but I couldn't physically get in there to see anything because there was not enough room for all 3 of us. I waited patiently for them to come out. As matter of fact, one of the ladies went go get someone who was more knowledgeable about the houses, while she was away, that was the only chance I got to view the merchandise in the room. As soon as the more knowledgeable sales person came over, the lady ran right back into the room again! I was so irritated that I left. I found another Hallmark closer to me that started carrying the houses again this Fall. If a customer is there to browse your merchandise, couldn't you have waited until I was done looking? read more

I have to suggest anyone who's considering to shop at this store to reconsider. For close to 20 years my mom and I have been shopping at this location. As Christmas fanatics we appreciate the huge year around Christmas selection. However two times recently we have experienced very rude service and both times we were helped by the same rude sales clerk. The first time we shopped for some hallmark ornaments which had gone on sale. My mom, who is beginning to show early stages of dementia, has collected keepsake ornaments for about 30 years. We approached the counter and the sales rep seemed too busy multitasking with something behind the counter to even make eye contact with us. My gut instict should've told me to walk out then and there. However with close to 20 years of happy shopping here we decided to proceed. I asked the sales rep if they had a way of looking up our keepsake ornament purchases based on my gold crown number. The reason we were asking is I was almost sure that my mom had already picked up one of the ornaments early in the year. The sales rep rudely said no with still not making any eye contact and proceeded to ring or purchase. That was on January 27th. When I got home we confirmed our fear that one of the ornaments in fact was a duplicate. I loyally held onto the receipt and today, less than five days later, we went back to exchange the item. At the time of sale the sales rep did not tell us that keepsake ornaments for non-returnable even with a receipt. The signs in the keepsake ornament area also did not state such a policy. We did not notice that our receipt actually has that policy was stated in small text at the very bottom of the receipt. When we approach the clerk , she rudely alerted us of that policy. Again the sales rep was multitasking and did not have time to make eye contact. I understand that the item is seasonal but surely they can make an exchange for other keepsake ornaments that are simply sitting on the shelf and the fact that we bought this only five days ago. There would be no loss in revenue it's just an even exchange. I tried to explain that to the clerk but she would hear none of it. What she did hear is that I told her I would not be returning to that location for our future business I will drive to Scottsdale Fashion Square for my future Hallmark business rather than to Millies Hallmark. It's no wonder that Hallmark is going out of business all over the valley and hopefully Millies will be next. The Scottsdale Hallmark store has great customer service and I hope they remain around for years to come. I think Millies needs to train their sales staff on customer etiquette and reconsider their policies that are not customer friendly. In an economy like this you think they would be begging for business rather than pushing it away. read more

I figured since it's a Hallmark store they would have, you know, a good selection of cards, but they didn't carry anymore than my local big box store would have. There are better Hallmarks out there. I went shopping here with my girlfriend for some holiday ornaments. The atmosphere wasn't bad but I suffer from claustrophobia. I was able to stay calm for duration of the time we were there until checkout. After we were out of the store I found out I had inadvertently rushed my girlfriend's decision on her ornament. No biggie I thought. I will just turn around, take a deep breath, head back in and return it. No dice. No sympathy. As a seasonal item they could only exchange it. I explained my medical condition but they could care less. That's not what I expect from a Hallmark store. I had just purchased the item and it's still before Christmas. It's not like they would be taking a hit. I've shopped here for years but now I plan to go somewhere else. This really upset me. Edit: Oh I guess my review isn't recommended, so my voice is not a factor. This a fair and balanced assessment of how I was treated during my last and final visit to Millie's Hallmark of Phoenix, AZ. As much as I hate to write this I just have to. I always loved coming here because of the vast inventory. I weathered the evil employees and management because there were just too many goodies.I mean, Millie is a bitch. OK so Millie is dead but Millie jr and so on are meanies. What is up with people who buy Hallmark stores. They all suck. Well, NO MORE!!! After spending thousands of dollars on Swarovski in the past 2 years, not to mention hundreds in dept. 56, I'm done. So, never mind that I waited at the Swarovski counter as everyone ignored me, I just figured it was the sweatshirt. I mean, I really didn't look the part of the buyer. I looked more the part of the shoplifter, but, oh well. Never judge a book by its cover. After asking for help I waited...waited...waited. Ok, so you can't find one of the pieces I'm looking for. NP. Not to mention after spending that kind of money I get the big $2 and $3 coupon from the big spenders Hallmark, I have to get attitude from the road torn and worn redhead at the counter? Worst customer service. They have something against disabled veterans. The lady saw my hat that said Marine corp veteran and proceeded to treat me like I'm not wanted there. She tolld me that I was lucky that they let me shop there. I asked her if she was kidding and she said no. After my purchase I asked for a gift wrap which is a service they provide and she told me no, that she would not do it. After waiting in line 5 min than checking out it was 2 min after closing. She told me to bring it back the next day. There was over 4 employees standing around doing nothing and the store still had over 6 customers shoping. It would of taken 3 min to wrap a little 4 x 4 box. Being a business owner myself I find this appalling. My family has shopped here for over 30 years.
