He gave us some ideas of what we could do. He didn't try and upsale us on anything. In fact, he suggested some great ideas on how we could work with what we had. We ended up having SLS install a flat stone patio with stairs, pour new concrete on the side of our home, re sod our front and backyard, and fix our sprinkler system. They did an excellent job! They didn't cut corners anywhere. When re sodding our front yard, they even removed weeds in between our cement and all around our palm tree. When their work was finished, they even came back a couple of days later to check on the sod and the patio. They take pride in their work and it shows. During the whole process, Paul was always available to answer any questions we had. SLS was very reasonable with their prices, and there were no hidden costs. Everyone that works for SLS is great. It is a family business. They work hard and their craftmanship is excellent! We are so happy that we decided to go with SLS. There are a lot of landscaping companies to choose from, but we will be calling SLS for future landscaping needs.

I have worked with Nunez Construction to complete projects at my home. After contacting them,…read more they reviewed each project and submitted bids that were clear and concise and included genuine timelines and start dates. They were willing to work with my schedule and met me after work and on weekends when needed. After having them pour a beautiful slab for a new hot tub, moving a ton of dirt for me, and doing some hardscape around a pool, they were able to pour an amazing driveway with textured and colored details that make it a standout in my neighborhood. They poured a concrete pad for my pool equipment and then built a beautiful retaining wall that allowed me to raise my fence and increase its functionality and aesthetic. In total, six different design-build conponents of my home were successfully completed by Nunez Construction as well as some digging and dirt removal. I have been so satisfied with their quality, work ethic, and willingness to adapt that I have recommended them to family and friends and will continue to do so.

I am in the market for a contractor and based on great reviews on Yelp, I phoned Purdy…read moreConstruction. I first phoned them and left a message for Susan. A couple of days passed and I had yet to receive a call back. After not hearing back from them, I phoned them again, and this time got the contractors phone instead of the office phone. There was a pleasant message telling me to phone the office if I wanted to schedule a quote. I then phoned the office and left another message. This time I got a phone call back from Susan. I was told that Jaime (the contractor) was all booked up until September, and I said that fine as there isn't a rush on the job. She began asking me if I wanted to schedule an appointment for a quote, but then she back peddled and said, "Can you call back in September?" I was really taken aback by this, and told her this seemed to be a repeat of a review that I read on a social media site. If you're in the market for a contractor in the Sacramento area from July 2014 - September 2014, DON'T call this contractor as he is all booked up and wont give you the time of day! Response to comment from business owner; Thank you for your response to my review of your business. Please allow me to reiterate some of my review and more clearly state my thoughts about my interactions with Purdy Construction. Getting back to a customer in a timely manner: Business standard is to return a phone call within 24 hours, especially when you have a dedicated person (Susan) taking business calls. I waited 72 hours before phoning again. Since there is another review about not responding to a customer inquiry, it sounds like this has been a previous issue. Time frame for project start: As I stated in my review, it is not a rush job and I was fine with the project starting in September. I am completely happy with your availability. Asking ME to phone back in September for a quote: This is what I have an issue with. As a customer, the business should take the responsibility in getting back to a client, or potential client, not the client. My information should've been taken down and a quote taken within a couple of weeks (my hours are flexible and would've been happy to work around your full schedule), and not start the project until September. Never the less, I have already lined up a quote from another contractor. If I accept the bid, the project will not start until late August/ early September, which is perfectly fine with me. The below response from the business owner only confirms my review of Purdy Construction.
