Eli (one of the owners) and his assistant arrived on time, wrapped my furniture prior to the move, and carefully moved all my things into my new home. On top of that, they finished the job a little earlier than Eli's time estimate - saving me a little more money. Their rates are competitive, on the lower range that I was quoted from other moving companies. Given my whole experience with Movers Ultimate I would highly recommend them - top quality and excellent value for the money.. Scott W

They took apart my bed and offered to reassemble! My mattress did get a bit damaged on the bottom and a screen door flexi-glass broke. However, they reduced the original quote to pay for those damages and I was very much grateful. During the move it started to rain and they were able to move quickly to get my soft furniture out of truck so it wasn't ruined. In addition, I did pitch in to help and their initial was response was that I definitely didn't need to do that but I felt bad just standing around. Lastly, I had some items I needed to pitch that required a larger dumpster and they took it for me at no additional charge! Overall, great experience and highly recommend utilizing this moving company!

I'm a 20 year military spouse with over 6 moves under my belt and I felt it was extremely important…read morethat other families planning their long distance PPM (previously called DITY) moves (or corporate, personal moves - whether military or not) to be aware that College Hunks employees are not trained at all to pack boxes appropriately or load up a moving truck to limit damage as it travels. In addition, the job came in almost 3x the quoted price AND we received zero customer support or communication from the franchise ownership when we experienced problems (read below for details). The negative vibes started when their team arrived the morning of our move with only 2 people and no packing paper, no boxes, no markers for labeling, etc. Although the pack out had been confirmed with College Hunks' scheduler and main POC (his name was Alexander - he oozes confidence but he is not accurate, effective or helpful in a negative situation) two days prior the team didn't get the memo and thought they were just there to load a truck (it was supposed to be a pack out and load job). We had completed a detailed on-site meeting/walk thru with their scheduler, Alexander, and discussed picture boxes, wardrobe boxes, etc. so it wasn't that the company had never laid eyes on the job. The lead packer, Ethan, did get on the phone when I told him the actual scope and he quickly got supplies and 2 more people to our site, which was great, but it went downhill from there. If that had been the only issue I would not be leaving this long winded negative review. When we got to our destination we unpacked box after box after box with ZERO packing paper. Most items had not been wrapped or protected at all. All they did was take drawers and shelves of items and throw them into a cardboard box and seal it up. I had many damaged and broken glass, wood and ceramic items on the other end. I will acknowledge there was 1 packer, named Ethan, that did use packing paper and attempted to label boxes (after he borrowed a marker from us and after we asked them to label). He was the packer in our line of sight most of the day so we had no idea the others were not packing correctly or labeling anything. Ethan was great and had a good attitude all day - if all of their employees behaved like Ethan it would have been a very different move. Movers should know this but when you pack a truck for a long distance move and the boxes have no packing paper or internal support (and they're only 1/2 - 3/4 full) they all start to collapse and crush down from weight above as the truck drives and bounces. This is why we had so much damage. None of our boxes were labeled and the final straw was their cheap packing tape wasn't sticking to the boxes so as the movers at the destination site picked up boxes they were falling apart and collapsing on them. Items were falling out onto the ground as they tried to move stuff inside. I reached out to Alexander several times during the pack out, and also while we were unloading, with photos and expressed our disappointment and concerns and he assured me that the franchise owner would reach out within 24-48 hours to discuss what happened. Well, it's been over 2 weeks and crickets - not a single text, call or email. So it's clear their upper management really doesn't care about customer service. They got their 3x money and with job over we don't matter to them anymore. Take this review as a beware - they look great at face value but their team is not trained, equipped or supported by upper management.

First, the team responded to my inquiry promptly and gave me a quote quickly to match. They answered all the questions I had and asked ones I hadn't immediately thought of (e.g., any cleaning products or scents that should be avoided). I appreciate that the team walked me through what a "deep cleaning" entailed vs just saying cleaning for "x hours". We discussed what to expect for each room, pricing for extras, etc. The team did a deep clean of a 2BR 3Bathroom Condo + Living Room, Loft, and Kitchen. Communication was superb! They scheduled, arrived on time, and confirmed the clean with a walk through at the end. And they navigated this all professionally while I was out of town! My family and I were pleased and happy with the service. The value was great and affordable and high quality work. I would definitely seek their services again and recommend them to others! Pros: 1. No deposit…read morerequired. Quoted at a much cheaper rate than competitors. 2. Had flexible appointment times and the team arrived on time. Cons: 1. Team arrived not fully prepared to complete the job that was scheduled. They appeared shocked by how many things I had. This could have been due to a breakdown in communication between myself and the staff person who set the appointment. As a result, the price had to be adjusted significantly when the team arrived. Also, some of my items were significantly damaged during the move. I believe this could have been prevented if the team had a proper number of workers and equipment to handle the job. Suggestion: Please ask more detailed questions regarding the customer's belongings while setting the appointment so the moving team understands what is being asked of them and can arrive properly prepared, so price negotiation does not have to occur during the move. Overall, I give the experience 3 stars because while the job was "done", it came at significantly higher cost and with damaged items. It is a new business, and I believe they have a good start, but there are some things to improve upon as well.
