My husband and I were honestly expecting it would cost another 200% or more. Jeff found the leak (it was the clean water source for the toilet tank and not the shower at all), showed us the problem, and went ahead and fixed it. He redid the kitchen ceiling and painted it, all with minimal disruption to two people who work from home. And the extra cost? It was an additional 33 1/3% (or, an additional one-third added to the initial estimate)! Clean, quiet, professional, fast, smart, I cannot say enough good things about him!

We have a very small bathroom…read moreand the available styles and sizes of vanities at Home Depot didn't match what we wanted, so I reached out to Mike, he came over to take a look, and provided a quote for the work. Building a custom vanity was a little more expensive, but we got so much more for what we paid. I selected Mike in part because when he came to look at the configuration of my existing vanity and plumbing, he had a clearer vision that he articulated for how he could build and install the vanity, and what the options were given the positioning of the plumbing. The other contractors I had come and look didn't mention the relationship between the dimensions of the drawers and open space and the existing plumbing in the wall. We also asked Mike if it would be possible to build a pull out step under the vanity that our 1.5 year old daughter could use to step up and use the sink (probably when she gets to be 2 years old or so). He explained his vision for that and it was perfect. Mike also built the style of the doors and drawers to match a style we had seen, and as you'll see in the pictures, it looks amazing. Mike was super easy to work with, very responsive, and provided a documented design spec that he sent to me for approval (which we made a few tweaks to). He delivered the piece on time and was flexible with his schedule in matching to mine to install it. He expected half of the price of the piece as a down payment, very reasonable, and received the rest upon delivery and installation. I ordered the vanity top custom from home depot and I selected the handles I wanted Mike to install. He used the top to ensure that the piece he built would conform to fit. I also ordered the tread for the step after brainstorming ideas with Mike. I personally removed the old vanity and disconnected the old plumbing, but that could be done by a plumber as well. Mike installed the new vanity against the wall, and I had my plumber connect the plumbing to the new faucet we bought after Mike had left. Overall, I can't recommend Mike highly enough. He is professional, creative, responsible, and I can tell he takes pride in his work. Thank you Mike, we are already enjoying the transformation to our bathroom that you helped make possible!

The sink was coming off the wall. It was unusable. We decided to replace not only sink, by old tile floor, toilet, mirror and lights. Tom answered all the questions and concerns before the job started. He found a small vanity sink that fit our bathroom. There were not too many options when it came to tiles, so seeing a few more options before deciding would have been nice. The job took 4 days instead of 5. It moved along at a good pace. Overall, it was a positive experience. I really enjoy the final results of our half bathroom remodel.

He has a closely-knit team of trusted partners, and that contributes to the consistent quality and speed of work. You could pursue a cheaper option like Home Depot, but they make no guarantee on their subcontractors' expertise, and what they can do is extremely limited (structural changes are a nonstarter). We'll be hiring Tom again no doubt.

The work was done in a timely fashion-with frequent requests for payment-Cash only- at every step. The house looks great-on the outside! I was informed after the work was already underway that they wouldn't be doing the inside of windows. They also used windows not Energy Star rated for MA. So the interior of my house is a mess with unfinished windows- multiple plaster walls crumbling! They also replaced only two of the three outside lamps that were agreed upon-placed the storm doors back incorrectly and put molding over a couple of doors that was never requested. There was never a final walk through- and there were three screens placed which already had holes in them. My ignorance is the reason for most of these issues-I assumed the windows would have correct energy rating-I never knew that windows could be unfinished when you pay for replacement windows. I also got the impression that the final walk through by the Contractor would also finalize some of the "slush fund" money that was made available for any unexpected expenses. I did mention the defective screens and the missing lamp to site supervisor 'Luis". The owner of company never came out to check on work-Oh-just one more thing-the dumpster that I had to pay for? his guys brought trash from other work sites to fill it up! This all occurred summer 2024-I have been too occupied with medical issues to take any action on this -but really?! I just want others to be more cautious!
