I went to Carpet Empire in Palm Desert and got exactly what I wanted, carpet, padding, they move furniture and put it back exactly how it was with no extra charge, I am paying actually less than my budget would allow. The gal at Miller's Carpet was supposed to see what she could find within my budget, that was two weeks ago and have not heard a word back since. We have a 2005 sq. ft. home. We shopped around at all the big box stores and then ended up at Miller Carpet and flooring in Palm Desert. A family owned business for 4 generations. After meeting with Candace at the store, and her dad at our home we picked out our product, turned over our keys, and went to Oregon for Christmas. When we came back a week later, the tile had been removed, luxury vinyl planking installed everywhere except the bedrooms, which they re-carpeted. Everything is perfect! I don't know how the were able to move ALL of the furniture and appliances and do this amount of work in such a short time, but they did an amazing job! My home was perfect when I got back. After calling around to various carpet installers and big retailers who were either several weeks out from getting stock in or getting on the installation schedule, we got a recommendation for Miller Carpets from a neighbor. Thank goodness! I spoke with Candice who was super pleasant and helpful on the phone. She was able to give me an idea of the process over the phone and I was able to visit the showroom that same afternoon (no appointment necessary). I explained my needs and she showed me various samples to select from and made a few calls to check stock. I was able to take my favorite samples home to view in my home lighting to make a final selection. They even showed up the same day to take measurements.
