Was originally trusting my GPS to find a restaurant just outside the Gatwick Airport, I headed off towards Horley.
The misdirection lead me to a few local take-outs, but I wanted a Dine-in meal, preferably a steak.
Shut down the guidance, and just started off in search of something better. Then after a few miles, what do I see just up the road? "Miller and Carter" Steakhouse. Yes!
Now, what cut and size do I choose, and what to have with it?
After much deliberation, I opted for the 8oz Top Sirloin, medium rare.
They brought me out a wedge salad, and before I had even made any progress on it, the food arrived.
Well presented, and very tasty.
My only criticism is there was a bit too much fat and gristle. I would have expected this from a rib-eye, but not a Sirloin.
Next time, T-bone!
I will probably return next time Business brings me back to the area. read more
