My steak was cooked to perfection - medium rare, my parents has medium and again it was exactly as you'd expect. Dessert was sweet without being too strong, and went perfectly with a double espresso. There's also a nice selection of spirits for the end of the meal, so a frangelico and a whiskey were also appreciated. I can't recommend it enough. Price was good. I ordered…read morethe lamb chops and asked for them to be cooked medium rare, however, they were served rare, and within hours of consuming them, I was struck with severe food poisoning. The lamb chops were undercooked and clearly not handled with proper care. In our opinion, the meat was frozen and was not left out to thaw properly which ended up in the food being raw. As a result, I have been extremely ill, had to go to the doctors and unable to work. This incident has caused significant disruption to my life and livelihood. I strongly urge Toros to review their food handling and preparation procedures to ensure this does not happen to anyone else. I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this restaurant to others! Ruined date night! Not worth the £61 I paid for a starter and 2 mains! Also did not provide free tap water for the table!! Also, they do not take card payments, they expect the bill to be paid in cash. I didn't have cash and they said that I could bank transfer the money to which they gave me someone's bank details and after I had transferred the money, they rang this person to make sure that the money had gone through. This whole experience was very shady and on the lines of tax evasion!!!!!!

The wine selection is limited considering I would argue the a fine red is a perfect companion to a fine steak - maybe the average steak matched the wine offering perfectly. I cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed the experience of eating at Emilys, who, by the way, is very pleasant, helpful and attentive as your host. The price is what you would expect for a decent steak £12-16 but that is a bargain for what you get. My one complaint would be the overpriced wine but, then again, I should have stuck with beer.
