It sounded attractive because I've never heard of Indian BBQ. Indian + BBQ are two words I've never heard together before. Add "pub" to this equation --- UNHEARD OF! Indian BBQ Pub. I don't think we have that in the states... :( **By the way, I'm not necessarily "into" pubs, but because of the two words preceding pub for this place, I decided that it sounds unique enough! Ambience: as you can see from the picture I posted, it's a very comfortable looking place - nothing fancy as it is only a pub! The inside is actually quite large and spacious. There are a total of about 5 or 6 rooms (for seating). The first 3 rooms are tiny to small rooms (between 3-6 mini-tables). There are two larger Roos with many tables: 1 large room is located in the pub, whereas the other larger room is where the BBQ roast is. I believe there was a medium sized room as well. Very casual and comfortable place. (Confession!! I wanted to take more pics of the place inside to show you guys what it looks like, but ... I didn't want to look like TOO much of a tourist, so I tried to play it cool. Maybe next time I'll be bold enough. Taking pics of the food ... that was a reach for me here! ;) ......) Cost: the price is right!!!! The two beers we ordered cost 3.20 GBP. 2 orders of split roast chicken were just over 5 GBP. The cost of curries were 3-4 GBP. Rice was approximately 1.5 GBP. They offer a range of dishes so everyone will find something they like. None of our dishes were very spicy at all but the flavours were there. We all had ordered different things and we all enjoyed what we had in front of us. This is a Bring Your Own Drink restaurant (if you have forgotten, go the the corner shop!!) which reduce significantly your bill. Overall, a very decent experience :)

Al Fazal boasts authentic Lahori (Pakistan) food and it is excellent. Lahori food is a little different to the run if the mill Balti fare and if you haven't tried it, generally, I suggest you should. For the vegetarians, the Channa (chickpeas) and puri is flavour-town. Usually at these joints desert is a downer, but not here. Gooey gulab jamum without that piercing sweetness found in subpar offerings and the ras malhi melts in your mouth with creamy puff and nutty undertones. Just like nanna would make. First i was a bit worried due to the location and the way the row of shops looks from the outside, but was quickly pleasantly surprised inside. The guys working there were welcoming and happy to advise us on what will go with what for our dinner. If I was only judging the food quality and the price - a very decent meal for £15 a head- I would have given it a 5 star rating, I took one away as service was long (i don't mean once we ordered the food, but i'm just moaning a bit about the time we had to wait for the waiter to come back to get our order, for the bill to arrive, etc) and it wasn't very busy on that night.
