The person smelled like alcohol. Deliberately took my $70.00 knowing my car would not pass. Other smog stations tell you the precise issue and you do not have to pay anything. He wanted to take my money before the test. Will never return to this place. read more

This guy is very friendly, cheap, and fast. I have an SUV and he only charged me $50 total (including the certificate) to get it done. Other places I had called wanted to charge me $60 + an additional $10 for the certificate. It took about 15 minutes for him to finish my smog check. He thanked me a couple times, made small talk, and told me to have a good day a couple times. His name's Enrique. Overall, he seemed like a good dude. I would recommend this shop. Mind you, I haven't received service yet, but their customer service on the phone is amazing! I have been calling around all morning and they are the only one's to explain to me the breakdown of the price and why it's so expensive ($60 total for me) for a smog check (very sensitive machines that break down easily). Well, I made my decision and set an appointment with them because they said that no matter how many times they need to test, they will test til it passes (still, $60 and no going over that) So, i had a set price! I have been coming here since I moved to the area around the time my son was born. He's 6 now so that's proof in itself that I've been around awhile and keep coming back. I brought my 1996 Buick Regal 2 door coupe during part of it's 11 year tenure with me and it passed. I brought my 2003 Competition Yellow Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS 2 door coupe a few times within the 10 years of ownership and it passed every time. Now I've transitioned into a Ford Fusion 4 door family sedan that I've had for almost 2 years now but dur to the original sale date of the vehicle being registered I had / have to smog it. Come to find out it didn't have to even run on the dyno. they checked the stats under the new guidelines and the Fusion also passed. I was impressed. So yeah the cool thing too, in the past if you had your old invoice from a previous smog check they would honor that price unless the legislature would change certain smog standards. Then they would and will explain the difference in pricing as necessary for us to understand as a consumer. So if you want fairness for the price and the truth to go with it. Millennium Smog Check is the place. Star Certified which is what the DMV normally or usually asks for nowadays. Good luck I hope this peaks the readers interest. read more

dropped my Jeep off for a quick smog (2nd in line) and went to lunch. 45 minutes later I noticed it hadn't moved, so I went back to the office. I returned after two hours to find it STILL hadn't moved. I went in to see what was going on and found that they FORGOT ABOUT MY CAR. The tech apologized and put me in next. About 30 minutes later, he sent me away and told me i needed to call the California Air somebody or another and get an "executive order" sticker on my air filter since it was after-market. Weird that they didn't have a problem with this when I smogged it last year! I went back to work and gathered all the necessary information to call and request this sticker, only to find the STICKER HE SAID I DIDN'T HAVE IN THE FIRST PLACE. I went back to Millennium AGAIN and waited another 20 minutes for my turn, showed the guy the sticker and started the smog check. Literally 45 minutes later I got up to see what the hell was going on and they were STILL testing it!! It finally passed with ZERO problems. When I asked for a discount for all of my time and trouble, the guy just said, "we don't have that policy". Whatever. Get me the hell out of here. These guys do fine work, but make sure you know what you're up against when you walk in. And make sure you have four hours of your day to throw away. I will NEVER be back, which is unfortunate because they're right down the street from my office. read more

Very upset got rip off, shady work practices. Took my truck in to get smogged check . Truck has had no issues with passing smog before at different places. However this time they couldn't pass even though it pass the emissions test on the paper work they gave me. They claimed it was because truck has a aftermarket Volant air intake system thats been there since i bought the truck. The owner of millennium told me that i needed a exempt id number which he could told me before he started the work since he saw that it was missing and would of need it. I was upset about that but it wasn't that bad as to right a review about. So i was able to get the exempt sticker for the air sytem took the truck back to millennium thinking that they would just right it off. But know instead they start doing this hookis pookis type of smog check were the truck is on but nothing if hook up anywhere. What really got me suspicious was that they had a cable the front seat just sitting there not connected to nothing and they had it cover a small tarp as to cover the seat. I could the worker triying to keep me from looking as to see what was going on. At the end of all this they hit me with a re test price of 36 dollars. When all he really did was enter the information in the computer. I was watching the whole time. When i confronted them they gave me a bunch of BS. . After arguing it for a while i just payed them since they had my keys an i was on lunch break. Be careful if you decide to go there . read more

I took my vehicle to get a Smog test at Millennium on Norwalk Blvd in Santa Fe Springs and had a terrible and costly experience. First, they charge for a re-test; stating overhead is too high--well maybe if you knew your business you would have enough volume to cover you overhead. Second, two plus years ago I had a new catalytic converter installed into my vehicle; subsequently the state banded the use of this particular catalytic converter. In other word it was legal when it was installed, but is banded from being sold now. Millennium marked my test as "tampered" and failed my car. I replaced the Catalytic converter and returned to Millennium, who stated he want to see the sales receipt, which I did not have with me. He also stated he was not going to look under the car and verify the new model number (He went under the car to find out I had the now banded converter, but couldn't do it to verify I had replaced it) and his policy has changed about re test being is now a charge. So I got me and my car out of there, never to return again. I went to the referee who stated "If it was legal when you installed it, the state would not make me replace it and it should have never been marked as tampered" Third, as a result of their misinformation, it cost $51.00 at their shop and $275.00 to replace the converter.
