Did seem to be staffed by very young employees that were neither a positive or a negative. Food prices are crazy, but that's true at most (all) theaters.

They didn't have name tags so I don't know their names. The popcorn is good, I do wish they had the orange popcorn seasoning. I also wish it would say if there are free refills or not. It is nice to have people on the hallway to direct people and say where the bathrooms are. They are super nice! It is cold in the theaters even with heated seats so be sure to bring a blanket.

It's a small, two screen theater that is exactly how I remember it, down to the smell, even. It a sort of sweet, slightly musty smell that adds so much to the charm of this place. For some reason, as the nostalgia swept over me, I subconsciously felt compelled to get Twizzlers as my movie candy of choice (I believe they were usually accompanied by Reese's Pieces, too). Seats are relatively comfortable, though a little low on the back. I found that this helped me sit up straight during the movie, it would've been an epic slouch to be a comfortable one. Picture quality of the movie was great, volume/sound quality was great, as well. Nowadays, they're showing first run movies, so there's no need to head to Madison to see a movie on opening weekend if you're a movie nerd like me. On the down side, cash/checks only... but the Kwik Trip is right around the corner with a no fee ATM (just in case)! Also, only one screening of each movie on weekdays, two on weekends. Here's the real bummer: They recently found out that all movie releases starting next summer-ish are going to be in digital format only. Digital projectors are expensive. This theater may end up closing for good, unless they can raise the money to buy new projectors. I really hope that they will be able to accomplish their fundraising goal... Richland Center would be losing a cherished (to me, anyway) landmark if they cannot. Save the theaters (the drive in is at risk, too... the place where my cousin's now husband proposed) in Richland Center!

Most don't know this but at the beginning of the year, they offer a bucket of popcorn for $25, you keep the bucket and when you bring it back to enjoy more popcorn or go to the movie, it only costs $5 to fill that same bucket!! And this can be done throughout the year with that bucket. Shown in the picture is the bucket and the popcorn. The friendly staff also put the popcorn in a baggy so we wouldn't dirty the bucket on this visit. Normally concession items are super expensive at theaters. This is a great way to really save on popcorn, at theaters theater or at your home!

A great small town theater. It recently underwent a full renovation and has fantastic new…read morereclining seats. With the new seats comes reserved seating and online ticket purchasing. The renovation resulted in about 70 seats (about half as many as before). There is a lot of nice leg room and it's easy to get to your seats. I ordered our tickets easily on my phone and received them via email shortly after the transaction. Once we arrived at the theater, I just scanned the email and we were all set. The staff is very helpful with that process as they understand it is completely new. Last night's show was all sold out an hour before, so it's nice to be able to check and see availability before traveling there.
