I have been at millennium park smiles for about three years now. I thought so highly of them and have been referring to other people in my family and friends. I've always had a great experience with everyone until today. I did an Invisalign treatment with them and had a reoccurring payment plan going where I would automatically pay $600 each month. I received a bill where I owed $1200, which was unusual for me since I had the payment plan going and the $600 should have been paid already for February and March. It came to my attention from a dental hygienist that between February and March they lost my chart with my records (which I assume had my credit card information). They never called me to tell me that they didn't charge me in February and March. I called today to ask why they didn't charge me in February and March and didn't get much of a response and asked if I can pay $600 today and then $600 next month, because no one has $1200 just laying around to pay right off the bat. This is when things turned south. SANDRA picked up the phone call from the receptionist I was originally talking to and said that I would need to pay the $600 today and then $600 on Thursday during my appointment. I told her if it was possible to pay the $600 next month since I don't have that money to pay in 4 days from now. SANDRA then said "I can make an exception this time but can't do it next time," implying that this was my fault I didn't get charged in February and March. I told Sandra that it wasn't my fault that I didn't get charged in February and March when you lost my chart and that's when she said "it is our fault that we lost your chart but it's not our fault you don't have $1200." At that point, I wasn't going to fight. After about 20 minutes I called back to talk to someone about how unprofessional that phone call was. The first time I called no one answered, but then I called from an unknown phone number and they picked up the phone. The lady on the phone call was very apologetic and was understanding of the situation, which is not something I received from Sandra during that phone call. I told the lady that I will be leaving a review as it was highly unprofessional and asked to get a call back from someone in the office and the lady told me that the manager would not be in until Thursday, which was fine I was willing to wait. Then, I received a phone call from Sandra. During that I asked if I can speak to someone else besides her and she responds "well I'm the office manager." She then proceeds to tell me that I called to complain and that what I told the other receptionist is not true and that everything is recorded. I said play the recording back because you absolutely said those things. She continued to then call me by my last name instead of my first name, after I corrected her once and told her to call me by my first name. I think that was super passive aggressive. The cherry on top of this phone call with Sandra was that she threatened to pull my records so I can go to a different dentist. I never said that I would go to a different dentist. She can play that conversation back too if the conversation was recorded. Overall, the conversation with Sandra was highly unprofessional. She should have called me and apologized for being rude on the phone call and I would have been done with this whole conversation, but she instead called me back to be defensive and tell me I was lying. Not once was she apologetic. To emphasis again, I never had a problem with any receptionist or dentist here except for Sandra. Please do better with customer service and don't play with other peoples money. read more

I have been going to this dental practice my entire life, after this year I will never return. My dentist retired and they immediately don't know how to run a dental office. Horrible communication and a lack of respect for people's time. For my last visit they didn't bother to notify me that my regular dentist had to cancel. I believe he hadn't quite retired yet, so I would have tried to rescheduled with him. Instead they just found a substitute, who was not good to put it nicely. I should note the hygienist was good as they always have been here, the new dentist was not. I didn't want to bother finding a new dental office, so I scheduled my next appointment to give it another chance. The short version of the next issue is they offered to reschedule a month before my appt date, I didn't want to reschedule so I confirmed my appt only for them to be closed that day without informing me. They even sent me a reminders 2 days before the appt. I called while standing outside of the closed office and left a voicemail asking them to call me back while explaining what they had done. Did I get a callback to apologize? No. They didn't even have the dignity to reach out and apologize. (More details) I called a couple days later to tell them to remove me from their contact list. After explaining the situation, they admitted that my appointment was still on the schedule for that Monday and then made multiple excuses. First they said they called on a specific day to inform me about the closure, I explained that is not true. I still have the voicemail and they only called to ask me to confirm or reschedule. After that they sent a text to confirm, I confirmed my appointment and still have the confirmation text. I also have a reminder text and reminder email from them. Next they blamed me because I didn't call to confirm, I only sent a text. NO! You offer text to confirm appointments. If that it not okay, then don't offer it as an option. That is your fault, not mine. Then they blamed their system for the mixup. You are responsible for the system you use to run your office. But I tell them this at best explains the issue happening, they still closed the office and didn't bother to make sure they contacted everyone. Regardless, it does not excuse the fact that they couldn't be bothered to apologize. While oversights happen, they chose to not even do the bare minimum of calling me back to apologize after receiving my voicemail. That alone tells me they don't respect their patients which explains why this mix-up happened in the first place. read more

I come here twice a year like clockwork! The people are kind and friendly. They get things done and the costs are quite reasonable (yes I have insurance) their skills are great and they are perfect at time management as well as dentistry. Excellent practice! read more

I was a longtime patient here but just had my last visit to this office. Dr. Reid is no longer here, and they keep moving my dental appointment with no Saturday hours available. After being notified on no Saturday hours, I had to agree to come in early on weekdays but they canceled it twice without notifying me and simply sending me an email to confirm a new date randomly, asking me to come in at 10 am and 1 pm on a weekday. This office is becoming a problematic office with moving patients' appointment again and again with no upfront apology. The front desk staff and clinical staff don't value the importance of keeping patient appointment and keep moving their appointments as their schedules fit. They take your PTO hours for granted for dentist appointments. Sorry, you don't give flexibility to patients and don't bother keeping their appointments on the promised time slot. Patients have no reason to pay for a medical appointment that the office keeps changing without fully respecting it. I am changing my dental office, not just a dentist, after today. read more

Beautiful office with view of the bean from the chair. Dr Khan was very professional and guided me through my treatment options. She makes sure you're comfortable and have a good understanding of what needs to be done and why. I went through an Invisalign consult that included a complete 3D scan which showed the future state of what my teeth would look like if I chose to move forward with the treatment. Over all, I highly recommend Dr Khan and millennium park smiles! Best dental office in the loop. read more

I was a long time patient of Dr. Sigman's and LOVED the office and the staff. I had my first appointment after about a year and was not impressed. The office felt dirty, the staff, especially my hygenist seemed unkept and lacking a professional style. After that visit I have decided to move on to another dentist. I guess sometimes new ownership can't always deliver the kind of service the practice built it's reputation on. Very sad. read more

I usually don't write negative reviews on business, but I had such a bad experience here I think it is important for people to know about it. I went to this dentist to have a crown that fell off put back on. Within days of that procedure I developed a massive infection that required going to Urgent Care and going back to this dentist to have it lanced. Then I had to go to an endodontist to look at the tooth who then informed me that I would now need THREE root canals because of the infection! And, to top it off, when I called to inquire about why the were charging me for the visit to look at the infection, they refused to acknowledge that they could have made a mistake, they refused to reduce or otherwise change the payment I owed, and then they hung up on me. read more

Enjoyed coming to Millenium Park Smiles up until today when they really disappointed me. I called and spoke to someone at 08:30 this morning to confirm my 2:00 pm appointment. Drove to the city and paid for parking all to find out the entire building is closed due to maintenance. Did they not know this, this morning? A phone call would have been nice. I called multiple times and no answer. I'm 9 months pregnant and what a waste of time and energy spent. They can shred my chart - I won't be returning nor recommending them to anyone. read more

Been seeing Dr Barnett for 20 years - he's great. Highly recommended!Warm demeanor, friendly, remembers you, and makes you as comfortable/relaxed as can be going to the dentist. This office has been one unprofessional experience to now a full blown epic fail. The office manager yelled at me like a child about the balance on my account at the time I was making a payment after a teeth cleaning. A claim for implants was reversed and I was told I have to pay in full prior to the crowns on the implants being made. I email Dr Kantos for payment plan and he told me to apply for credit. July 2021 will make 1 year since having the stems installed in my gums and nothing further resolution offered while I continue making payments. I offered another $1000 toward the balance and requested a payment plan to get the crowns placed in my mouth and was informed the payment can be made and accepted while I find other alternatives for the balance. Oh and get this they will charge me a late fee. read more

Loved working with Dr.Khan! She's incredibly smart, knowledgeable, patient and goes out of her way to accommodate her patients. She takes the time to address your questions and concerns and does whatever she can to create the best treatment plan for you. I LOVED working with her! I was referred to Millenium Park Smiles by a friend. Today I had a dental emergency, I called and spoke with Stephanie who was amazing! She was able to get me in to see a dentist the same day, she worked with my insurance, she was so nice and personable and made me excited about my appointment, like I saod she was amazing. I ended up getting a tooth extracted and Dr. Burnett was wonderful, he put me at ease, he was funny and very kind to me, treated me like a life long patient and his assistant was very sweet. Today Millenium Park Smiles gained a new patient today, well actually two because my son now has an appointment. read more

Preface: My hygienist, Maria, is always great. She's attentive and always makes me comfortable. I've been seeing her for nearly 5 years. And, Dr. Kontos is a gem. He's patient and kind and explains everything thoroughly. Also, the office was recently renovated and is now of the most beautiful dental offices I've ever seen. While my cleanings are always great, my overall experience this time was diminished by rude, snobbish receptionists (Sam and Stephanie). There was a $25 balance on my account from a cleaning done 6 months prior which I had been made aware of days prior to this appt today. Sam stared at me as I left the office then called my name. She went on to say "you have a $25 balance on your account" and nothing else. She just looked at me while another patient waited near me to check-in for his appointment. I told her that that must've been an error on their part because my cleanings are 100% covered under insurance and I didn't have any other services done (my insurance is outstanding). She said "well, they didn't cover $25 sooo...you owe $25." I told her again that that was an error and to re-send the bill to insurance. Because I was on my lunch hour, I had to leave. I called the office when I had reached my office and Sam answered. I told her I was just there and asked to speak with someone else about the billing. Stephanie answered and though her tone was sweet, it was also rude and condescending. I asked her what number I should call regarding the billing. She said "well, it's on the back of your card and most insured carry their card and know it. I can Google the number if you want." I asked her to speak with the office manager. Becky answered and went over the bill with me. It turned out that the office had charged my account incorrectly. I have the best insurance so I was positive there was a mistake. A temp had performed my last cleaning and got a dentist who wasn't covered under my plan to review my work. I had no way of knowing that this would affect my bill. I assumed he was an associate and that his review of the temp's work was covered. It's the office's job to inform me prior to a service if there will be a fee. Becky apologized for the mistake and my experience and adjusted the billing. I asked her to cancel my next appoint. I'll be going elsewhere for my services. read more

I visited this office for the first time just recently. Super convenient location in the loop, next to the L. The office has gorgeous views of the lake! I was greeted by very friendly receptionist and shortly afterwards taken to the back. Dr. Khan was very friendly and thorough in her examination and was able to explain to me exactly where she saw concerns. Anytime I've visited a dentist for a cleaning, I experience a lot of discomfort and dread the process and explained that to Dr. Khan. She was so gentle yet thorough in the cleaning, I was shocked and pleasantly surprised when we were done! Even though I came in for a routine cleaning, Dr. Khan was willing to accommodate the work needed to be done for some fillings. Unfortunately my schedule did not allow that and I look forward to visiting Dr. Khan again very soon! read more

I like this place. My dentist and hygienist are very good. My only wish is that they turn down the music at the front desk and even in the dentist's office. This is something that is very easy to change. Maybe low-level jazz music (not rock or pop) would be more relaxing for those in the dentist's chair. read more

This place is fantastic. After dealing with an overpriced, aggressive dental practice on Michigan Ave for years, I finally had enough and decided to branch out. I came to Millennium Park Smiles on a recommendation and I'm so glad I did. The receptionists are straight to the point and no nonsense. My hygienist was fantastic! She's so polite and kind and clearly knows what she's doing. I had a cavity that I thought was going to require a root canal, and the dentist was able to fix it with just a regular filling! Have been going to this office of experienced doctors and hygenists for past 40 some years, before it was Millenium Park! They have kept up with new technologies and medical procedures, along with continuing education for all. Nice to know when you walk in, they know what they're doing, and there is no "guess work" going on! Have known Dr. Sigman since he was fresh out of school and still see him when in the office. If you can't pass your practice on to a capable and compassionate family member then go out and find someone who fits this description when it is time to pass along the keys . This practice has been providing world class dental care for many years and rather let it close Drs Salk, and Marks merged with the practice of Dr Kontos making a great practice even better. Dr. John Kontos is a jovial fellow who takes the sting out of dental procedures with his sense of humor and with his great skill as a surgical craftsman. I was very surprised by the lack of discomfort with root canals and extractions that were required and the dental care plan he created tor return my dentition to full mechanical and cosmetic health. And my dental hygientist Maria is very expert at oral healthcare with excellent cleanings as well as an expert eye for emerging oral pathology which she reports to Dr Kontos precluding painful and expensive deferrals of care. Even Dr Kontos' dental assistant Irina is an expert in helping the patient feel comfortable during any procedure with her very pleasant manner and is very capable in preparing the patient to maximize Dr Kontos' professional care time with the patient. They are truly a very capable patient care team. The reception staff are friendly and pleasant and very quickly get to know you as a person not just as a "patient." This is a practice that provides personalized care and "caring Care" I would be remiss to not mention retired office manager Ms Salk who literally went through every dental insurance option that I had from my employer to find the one that would give me the best coverage and the best value and who very much miss now that she has retired and moved out west. I am literally now on my second generation of dentists in this practice and have been very well cared for in both a dental and a personal sense. I don't think that you can ask for more than that in a health care provider. read more
