They have the best mezcal by the bottle selection which I believe you can purchase some online. While sitting at the bar, I noticed all the bottles neatly displayed on the shelf behind the bar and none of the labels are ones I've ever seen before. In addition to being able to shop for plants, they also offer Plant workshops that you can sign up for online! Some of the workshops include a price for two people so pay attention to what you're signing up for. The deviled eggs disappeared faster than my self-control near a barrel-aged cocktail. The spicy buffalo dip nearly caused an international incident at the table because nobody wanted to share it. But the MVP of the evening was our waitress, Kellsi. Fast, hilarious, adorable, unbelievably attentive, and somehow always appeared exactly when we needed something -- like a bourbon-serving ninja with perfect timing. By the end of the night we seriously considered asking if The Last Refuge offered permanent residency. 10/10. Would gladly abandon responsibilities and return immediately.
