She refused, wouldn't even give $1 off, and said it was because there was a spot on my dress and that took longer. However, when I went to pick up my order on Wednesday the lady had showed me my dress hanging there, and said that was ready, but the rest of my order wasn't. So I know the owner lies. Second one was for patio. Very heavy with liner to keep cold out. Again, came back with two pleats ruined, severely wrinkled, and shrunk fabric 3" above liner. In both cases, they never said anything hoping I wouldn't noticed. Had to take to seamstress to repair as best possible. Although they gave me a cleaning refund for the patio, they destroyed the drapes (about $1,700) Most upsetting is that they didn't even admit to it in either case. Very disappointed in the deception the most. It was very obvious that these were very good quality drapes and absolutely no care was taken in handling them. They make you sign a waiver, which most places do, but it looked like a Rottweiler handled these. One would expect better care and honesty with customers instead of trying to pass off their incompetence and mistakes.

Their recommendation was Regina. Regina's not convenient to me, but they did do a nice job, swapping out horrible brass buttons for black ones on both front and sleeve of a sport coat. I supplied the new buttons, and the charge was about $10 to both do the work and press the jacket. Not bad, I suppose. It's $1.25 for the shirts, and again, they did a fine job, even getting what I thought was maybe burned on iron residue off one of my older shirts. So will I be back? Well - short of more alterations, probably not. It took me nearly 40 minutes to get from the Rt. 59 train station to Regina on a very lightly snowing Wednesday night. (Off topic - how are people in Chicago of all places incapable of driving with not a 1/4 inch of accumulation, and only scattered flakes coming down?) So with a cleaners walking distance from my house - this will be a rare occurrence. But they still do a good job.

They did a great job and got the dress done in plenty of time. Prices are also reasonable, which is great. My husband drops off clothes weekly to them. Couple bug-a-boos: There's been a couple times when our clothes weren't ready by the finish date that was posted on our receipt. Luckily, we live right down the street so it wasn't a far trip, but we're busy people and it would have been nice not to have to stop back in! There was also a time when my husband's clothes got switched with someone else's. We didn't realize until we got home, so we had to go back. When all was said and done he did get the correct clothes back, but that was a headache we would have rather not had. Luckily, we're both forgiving people and due to the sheer convenience of this location, we will most likely continue to drop off our dry cleaning here.

To be clear, I did NOT ask for the dress to be hemmed, just taken in so it fit better on the sides. Well, she saw how bad the hem-job was and redid for me, without charge.
