My go-to place for dry cleaning. Fast efficient and reliable. They haven't messed up in 3 years of me going there. The workers always make a point to ask about stains. Brought our custom draperies here and really thought they were capable. Big mistake. First pair (several thousand dollars) came back severely wrinkled and with pleat torn out. Second one was for patio. Very heavy with liner to keep cold out. Again, came back with two pleats ruined, severely wrinkled, and shrunk fabric 3" above liner. In both cases, they never said anything hoping I wouldn't noticed. Had to take to seamstress to repair as best possible. Although they gave me a cleaning refund for the patio, they destroyed the drapes (about $1,700) Most upsetting is that they didn't even admit to it in either case. Very disappointed in the deception the most. It was very obvious that these were very good quality drapes and absolutely no care was taken in handling them. They make you sign a waiver, which most places do, but it looked like a Rottweiler handled these. One would expect better care and honesty with customers instead of trying to pass off their incompetence and mistakes. read more

They stole ALL of my friend's clothes saying they would 'clean and return them' after her apartment was flooded by an upstairs neighbor. That was a month and a half ago and she can't get them to return her calls. Horrible reviews online similar to my friend's experience. Don't trust them!!! read more

Pros: great location if you live near downtown Geneva, all employees are friendly and carhop service is great Cons: about a dollar per shirt higher than other local cleaners, (just about $3/shirt for cleaning) quality of cleaning and pressing- in particular pressing (see photos: you shouldn't have to steam and/or iron shirts after picking them up from a dry cleaner) Dropped off 8 shirts, 5 of them require repressing. Not only were all wrinkles not removed, many wrinkles were pressed into the shirt cuffs, collars, etc. and now require repressing. Disappointed. read more

We lived in Geneva for 6 years and regularly used Geneva Cleaners. Moving to Montana to retire ten years ago, my wife still misses her cleaners. She misses them so much that I am forbidden to use any of the few remaining paper covered Geneva Cleaners hangers. Only she can use them and many are badly tattered. Strange but true. If I am in the area I will make a trip to Geneva to replentish her now meager hanger supply. Why the attachment? Geneva Cleaners thoroughly spot checks clothing dropped off and gets those stains out. Rarely will you get one of those cop-out tags that says that the cleaner "tried and tried to remove the stain" and is sorry to have failed. Not so with these guys. If buttons are missing or broken they replace them at no charge. Shirts are perfect. Prices are reasonable. If you need a quick turn-around, they do it. And they are very nice people. I decided to try this place out for the first time and they were great! I like the hop car service, where you pull up to a slot numbered 1-4 and an attendant comes right to your car to take/deliver your items. I live in St. Charles, but due to language barriers at my present cleaners, I wanted to try someone where I could actually have a conversation with on a normal decibel level and I found the staff very personable at Geneva Cleaners. The young lady that attended to me, thoroughly explained the process, the current renovations, the hours of operation and before quoting me a price to dry-clean my throw, she actually went back inside to double check the cost so as not to give me the wrong quote. My throw was ready exactly when promised and it looked great! Although I cannot use this particular cleaners all of the time, I will definitely use them whenever possible. read more

Eric and Tracy are people you do not want to do business with, they are bullies, unprofessional and called my family to threaten and strong arm us. They lied when they took our clothes over two months ago after a house fire, telling us that they had a deal with our insurance company. Only to find out they did not. They didn't communicate, they wont' answer calls and refuse to return ALL of our clothes unless they are paid in full,. before delivery. We offered several compromises and they continue to be unprofessional and literally keep the clothes off my autistic sons back. Eric won't answer calls at all. I do not regularly use the Geneva Cleaners, however, I did use them for my wedding day. I did not have my dress altered by the shop where I bought my dress, so I needed to find somewhere else to have my dress pressed before my big day. It cost $75 to have the dress pressed and ready for the day, but it turned out perfectly. The service was very friendly, and they really made me feel special before the big day. They were also able to get my dress done quickly- I picked it up within 48 hours. I would definitely use this cleaners regularly if it was closer to where I now live. I would highly recommend them for wedding day work if you need! read more

DO NOT GO HERE. This place is horrible and insanely unprofessional. I gave them a beautiful brand new leather jacket, and when I went to pick it up it had a pen mark and brown stains on it. They apparently steam cleaned it without talking to me. On the tag, it says "send to leather professional ONLY," which they obviously didn't do. On top of this, they inferred that I was the one who got the pen mark and stains on my jacket. Good thing I checked it before I dropped it off and it was still spotless. So, I came in to try it on and the jacket SHRUNK and the beautiful soft leather is now hard and scratchy. So it's beyond repair and best case scenario I might get money back to cover some of the jacket. The problem is- I got the jacket on sale and now the company doesn't make it any more. This is inexcusable and I'm absolutely furious. I'll never, EVER be coming back here again. Geneva Cleaners, because of your high turnover rate and horrible lack of common sense, you've lost customers and will continue to do so until you hire people who know what they're actually doing. UPDATE: Eric, in response to your response: we ended up buying another jacket from Vince. I wore the original jacket that you ruined only three times before bringing it in to Geneva Cleaners. You ruined my jacket, you're the only ones who touched my jacket after I dropped it off. The way you've handled this situation is childish and amateurish. I'm appalled. You failed and ruined my jacket and are NOT taking responsibility for ruining my jacket. The fact that you are blaming every other person solely proves that your are trying to deflect the blame, which demonstrated a lack of character and any semblance of pride in your business. I hope anyone who reads this will not trust you with anything above socks. I don't trust you to clean anything. You should be ashamed of yourself. We've already filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and I can only hope that some sort of solution can be worked out, and that they will hold you accountable for your actions. At the end of the day, you shrunk my jacket and ruined the leather because YOUR company didn't read the tag, which clearly states to send it to a leather expert. Very disappointed. I dropped off 9 items this morning for their one day service. After picking the clothes up and opening the plastic there was an overwhelming odor of chemicals and what smelled like lighter fluid. I called and spoke with the owner and she was patronizing and rude. I felt like I was being cross examined. She seemed to doubt my assertion that the clothes have a terrible odor and decided to go on about how long they have been in business and how complicated the dry cleaning business is. After almost 5 weeks of trying to come to a settlement we came to an agreement in which they failed to deliver on. Ultimately I had to settle with my insurance company who had to go after them. After my basement flooded, the restoration company recommended their services for my wedding dress and veil. I asked for a quote per item. I have a voicemail with one price for each piece, specially quoting $443 for cleaning, ozone something, and heirloom boxing the dress and $50 for the veil including heirloom boxing. I then received an email from the cleaners, quoting $106 for the veil. I shared the voicemail with them of the original quote (which I have saved and emailed) but they simply stated there was miscommunication between one of their colleagues and themselves. They refused to honor the original quoted price. Seriously the BEST!!!! I brought them my mom's wedding gown that was 45 years old and as you can imagine, extremely yellowed. I wanted to know if they could bring it back to white for me to wear on my wedding day this September. Eric, Joey, Nacho and the team all examined my dress to determine its material and decide how to clean it. After much discussion, Eric (the owner) suggested doing a multi-bath system that lasts about a week. He said his mom used to use this process growing up and it has the best success. It was reassuring to hear that this cleaners is a multi-generational business, and Eric himself said he has cleaned hundreds of wedding dresses. He spent about half an hour going over all the risks in cleaning such an old gown, to make sure I was comfortable. There was no pressure and they suggested sleeping on it, which I did. The next day, I decided to let them start cleaning the dress, and I am so glad I did!! They got it back to WHITE!!! It looked brand new!! I'm now having them preserve it for my daughter! This is seriously the best cleaner EVER. I'll never use anyone else. They are not only experts, but also take the time to explain what they plan to do. I cannot say enough about the Geneva Cleaners. My daughter decided she wanted to wear my wedding dress (1975 wedding) which was originally my mother's wedding dress (1952). It was stained and yellowed. I understood that the stains might not come out and that the dress could fall apart during the process, but wanted to try because of the sentimental value of having my daughter wear this dress. The result is better than I could have hoped for. Everyone I dealt with from the owner (Eric) to the cleaner to the staff at the counter was SO nice, SO committed to the process and SO happy with how it turned out. They called me during the process to let me know how it was going. I cannot imagine having a better experience. Had a water loss in my home and items went to CRDN/Geneva Cleaners for "restoration.: When I received the items back, they smelled terrible like mold and must and mildew. When I called to ask what happened, I was told "they didn't know," as the items are washed with soap and water. I became very ill with watery eyes, runny nose, coughing, sneezing, sore throat, headaches, and more. They were supposed to pick up all of these items yesterday (Friday), but didn't. They said they cannot come until Monday (even though they say they have 24/7 service) and there was a CRDN employee (old man) who was here at the house and would not even lift a finger to help my husband get all this junk out of the house. It's a mess and we had to remove the clothes ourselves as CRDN would not help us at all, but I could not stand another day in the house with these items in it, as I was getting sick from the moldy mildew. They had even taken personal checks from our water-damaged home, why would they take our personal, private items like checks? Will update this -- if and when they help me. read more

This place saved my couch!! One night I was bonding with my reptile when he decided to urinate all over two of the SUEDE couch cushions. Now I'm assuming that a lot of you do not know how bad it smells but in my opinion, it is worse than cat urine.. After my mother and I frantically looked up and tried different recommendations from Google about how to clean the material we realized that it needed to be professionally done. I took it here on the Friday and before thanksgiving and talked to a very honest and helpful woman who believed that the cushions weren't actually suede but polyester which she could clean no problem; if they were suede it would be a whole different process. So after researching the couch I was relieved that they were in fact polyester and brought them back on Monday. I received a phone call on Wednesday that they were finished but I could still faintly smell the urine so I asked them to try again, which they were very willing to do. They suggested a machine that exposes the fabric to vitamin D which is the best for getting rid of bad smells essentially. After the thanksgiving holiday I picked them up the following week and oh my the smell was gone!!! I was so happy but not only was the smell gone but there are absolutely no stains left behind AND they did not shrink! I was so impressed that I had to stop everything and write this review. The staff at Geneva Cleaners were polite and most importantly honest so I will be back if I'm in need of another dry cleaning service! read more

I have been using Geneva cleaners for 20 years in May of 2016. Best cleaners in the business and they do whatever it takes to make you happy. I'm very picky as I travel a lot so I require special things such as each garment bagged separately, special pressing of the shirts and collars, etc. and they do exactly what is needed to keep you clothes looking great. They are amazing with stain removal as I am always getting stains on clothes from traveling. Same day service if brought in by 11AM. They are the best. I would never go anywhere else. They do not value their employees. My daughter worked there and came home complaining about headaches and nausea for 3 days which other employees were experiencing. I told her to call the owner if she experienced the same issue during her next shift. She and other employees had the same symptoms on their next shifts and called the owners. They walked through and said there was nothing wrong. I immediately drove to the business and discovered a natural gas leak within 2 minutes. The building was evacuated for repairs. 2 weeks later my daughter had a serious illness that required antibiotics and she was contagious. The owners told her she had to show up. My daughter complained in a text to her manager what the owners could do if they made her come back sick which naturally made it's way to the owners. The owner (based on other employee versions) went into a rant how he was going to fire my daughter. After her next shift he summoned her into a meeting where he told her he would give her bad reviews from prospective employers if she didn't quite. Make your own decisions but keep this in mind when choosing a business for your dry cleaning. read more

BRIDES BEWARE!!!!!! After doing countless hours of research to find a decent cleaner to get my wedding dress pressed. This place seemed to be highly recommended. It turned out to be the WORST mistake a bride could make by trusting them with my wedding dress. I live out of state and had called and talked with a Kim, she assured me that they specialize in pressing wedding dresses. She also assured me that I would have no worries. I dropped my dress off and gave very specific instructions that were hand written out on my ticket. IE; please press only-not dryclean. Cut the tags off and save them for me so that I could put them in my scrap book as it was a brand new Maggie Sottero dress from NYC. Retail cost was nearly $3000. I had only tried the dress on twice, and both times without any makeup on and in a clean environment. SO, the day before the wedding when the dress was due to be picked up I received a call from a woman at the Geneva Cleaners saying that my dress was ready but there were problems. My heart sank, as she continued to talk with me, she tried to tell me that my dress was fine but there were issues with cleaning it. She also told me they did a full dry clean on it when it was only to be pressed. Mind you, it was brand new and only need the wrinkles from traveling with it pressed out. I immediately wanted to be sick, I was scared by what I was hearing over the phone. The woman also insisted that my dress was not brand new. I told her that I would be right there to pick it up and talk with her in person. My mother was with me. When we arrived in the shop, we could just barely see it in the back and the woman carried the dress and hung it up, dragging the bottom of the dress on the dirty floor. She walked away and another employee told us that she would be right with us. More than 7 minutes go by, and now the woman and another employee came to the front with my dress. She began telling me that they did a full dry clean on the dress, without my permission. Also, right across the breast portion of the dress there were what appeared to be two small burn dots, and the entire front across the stomach was severely dirty. I was in tears. I was so upset I thought that I was going to throw up at the counter. I do not know what they did to my dress but it was clean when I left it with them the day prior, but the woman continued to insist to me that it wasn't a new dress, and that I had actually brought the dress in this way. My mom had taken photos of me in my dress the day prior right before dropping it off and we showed them to the employees that it was in PRESTINE condition with no dirt or marks anywhere on it. What happened when they dry cleaned it, being that it was an all satin wedding dress, is that they embedded the dirt from their shop right into the dress. I don't know if their equiptment was dirty when they had tried steaming it and then to cover up their mistake they tried to dry clean it which made it more noticible...I really don't know what happened once my dress was in their hands. I asked to see my ticket with the instructions on it that I had left when dropping it off and they produced a different ticket that had been electronically printed out. My ticket was hand written. After being upset that they insisted it wasn't a brand new dress, I asked where my price tags were that I had asked them to keep. Eventually, they did produce them. I asked what they were going to do about it, and they said nothing. There wasn't anything that they could do. I ended up having to leave the store in tears, and went around the side of the store vomitted and was crying. I had less than 24 hours before I was to walk down the isle...and my dress was dirty. Had it been in a place where it was not noticible, I could have lived with it, but right at the breast area front row and center, and all across the stomach area NO WAY!! My mom stayed in the store to deal with them, and she was not happy. Here her daughter was about to be married, after waiting nearly 12 years to do so to the man she loved and my dress was dirty. They took no responsibilty for what happened and tried to acuse me of bringing them a dress that was dirty and wasn't brand new. It wasn't until they finally produced the original ticket and the tags that they cut off the dress, that they actually were willing to accept that it was a NEW $3000 dress! They also, still wanted to charge me $120 for their crappy work!! I refused to pay and my mom asked to speak to the manager. The manager snuck out the back door and refused to come and address or apologize to us in any way. She was handed a card with a number to call. Brides, or any one really..If you are looking to get your garments cleaned here, take a word of advice..GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! My mom ended up finding another cleaner in St.Charles that helped save my dress. The owner has been in the cleaning business for more than 30 years.
