Ok I will say sometimes calling there the office is less then friendly . But that's the only flaw !…read moreIn person they are always nice , always helpful .. Maybe they just hate phones .. Lol .. And Dr Digiovanni is the best .. My only complaint there is he can't be my dr too ! He's so great with my son and my a million and one crazy neurotic questions . He puts a mother at ease and is able to be the cool dr with my teenage son . He also always takes a few minutes to say 'so how are you doing ?' The staff is quick with filling scripts , making appoints with specialist and things of that nature and getting back to you about things . My son is barely sick so we don't go often , which is a good thing , but definitely a great doctor!

Have been taking my child to this pediatric practice since the week he was born almost 13 years…read moreago. Waiting room times are short, office staff is pleasant, nurses are bright and efficient, and the medical staff is exemplary. I trust my child's life to these people and have never been let down. I prefer a holistic approach to health as I think good nutrition, sleep, exercise are as important as medical intervention, if not more, and the doctors here seem to agree. I do not believe in the flu shot (for anyone) and while they advise to get it annually, they have never made it an issue. They have Saturday morning hours for sick child visits. When I have called outside of office hours the doctor-on-call has always returned my call well within a half hour. Have never had an issue with any kind of billing problems. Some of the wonderful Drs there 13 years ago have since retired, but the replacements are all top notch. Wish I could give more than 5 stars.

It's been 19 years this week since we almost lost our daughter. She was 4 years old at the time. We…read morehad been road tripping back from Washington, DC when she needed to keep using the bathroom. That in itself was not so peculiar but it was the speed in which it came on. By Connecticut I could tell she had a fever. We hightailed it home, used Tylenol and raced her in the next morning. She was much better and we thought it was the flu and went home. That night her fever was very high again so we rushed in the next morning. Dr. Garber did some tests and we left. I was about 3 miles away when he called and said head straight to Framingham Union, pass admissions and go straight to Pediatrics where they are waiting for you. Immediately she was hooked up to IV's and passed out. Within ten minutes Dr, Garber was there to tell us she was in Sepsis. The hospital set up the room for us. A real bed for my husband and i slept with my daughter. The next day Dr. Garber came in and told us she was resistant to the antibiotics and let us know it might be very bad. I'm not sure if people can grasp those words and the desperation involved. He came to the hospital frequently for us. Our daughter was sleeping with tubes in her arms thus far. In the next 2 days the new antibiotic was taking effect which was visible as well. Princess Diana had dies that week and all the TV news was covering that. Within the next 2 days my baby had woken up and wanted to watch Pocohantes non stop. After she was better he explained what caused it and how she would grow out of it. After 3 years of testing she was over it and we had a pill funeral where we laid to rest her remaining bottles. I NEVER doubted Dr. Garbers competency or care. I've lived all over the country since then and have never had a more competent Pediatrician for my child. I've heard the complaints and have even heard him but when the rubber hits the road I would rather have a great Doctor than one who has to think about the best words to use. Doctor Garber saved my child's life and I do not think some of the subsequent Doctors could have done it.

After many years w Dr Garber as our pediatrician he was rude and condescending to me one last time,…read moreand so we have now moved to another practice and are very happy. We stayed because although his bedside manner has always left a lot to be desired, he is apparently is a very smart doctor. And the nurses and office staff are great. Sometimes that just doesn't cut it though. We are not a family who visits often-he actually used to comment that we see him almost exclusively at well child visits only. We are not parents who fuss over nothing. Be warned, if you haven't explained your concerns in 10 words or less he will cut you off and tell you he doesn't have time to listen to you. As our children are now adolescents we want a doctor who they can feel comfortable enough to chat with and ask questions. Dr Garber is not the man for this!! I know of 2 other families who have changed practices because of Garber and countless others who switched to other doctors within his office. As far as the other docs at F'ham pedi go-they are great, the women especially. Unfortunately for us Garber was the only one taking new patients all those years ago when we had our first child!
