I dealt with this doctor's office for a year and these women have been so rude and disrespectful every single time I had to call for something or saw them in person. It was to the point where I felt uncomfortable calling about health concerns I had with my baby. Their tone of voice was so condescending and always made me feel like everything was my fault and I was doing things wrong - imagine that for a brand new parent. I don't know what makes them so entitled but they are the reason I am leaving this practice. The doctor is great but I will not be spoken to like that ever again. Even now that I called to try to come in and sign a medical release form and get my child's records, the woman on the phone basically told me that she doesn't have time for me and maybe I could get it in two weeks. The worst part is she LAUGHED on the phone when I asked her for these things. Not in a nice way but in a condescending "you are so dumb" way. Then she proceeded to tell me the office is closing soon when online and everywhere it states they are open until 4:30 PM (it's 12 right now.) She obviously just wanted to get me off the phone. I DO NOT recommend this place. The abuse from the staff is just not worth it. We have enough to worry about as parents.

He's a five but the staff (when we went there) was about a three. Although it happened quite a while ago I remember going to the office once when one of our kids was really sick, the receptionist (who is likely and hopefully gone by now) tells me that we shouldn't bring our kids to the office if they have the stomach flu. The problem was that I didn't say she had the stomach flu, I didn't know what she had because I am not a doctor...and neither was she. I was burning mad, in addition to being incredible insensitive the comment was dangerously unprofessional as receptionists should generally keep their medical opinions to themselves. Yeah, apparently I'm still mad about this. This event I recall specifically, but there were other negative staff interactions that occurred but that I don't remember with such detail. Even if the staff is still prickly I would unreservedly recommend Kerbel.

Our second child had some pretty serious health issues when she was a newborn and he called me at the hospital to check in every few days which meant a lot. We also love our NP Christine. You alternate seeing your Dr and NP so that two people get to know your kid and their health which I see as a positive. Yes the practice is definitely busy. You cannot just call and speak to your doctor specifically at the drop of a hat but the upside of a big practice is they have walk-in hours for sick kids 6 mornings a week so you are guaranteed to have someone look at your kid as long as you walk in the doors during that time. Its been so convenient to get kid seen (and then hopefully off to daycare and work). However whenever we have needed Dr. Amin to call us back he will as soon as he can. We have had a great experience with all of the doctors and nurses but we can highly recommend Dr. Ma as well since we have been seen by him many times during sick visits.

We were recent transplants to Boston two years ago and my daughter was running a high fever and wanted to take her in. They had Saturday office visits and we were very impressed with the physician that we saw even though we were later admonished that only patients of the practice were allowed to come into Saturday hours (oops). We did manage to get into the practice and were assigned to Dr. Day (very few doctors were accepting new patients in the practice). She was wonderful..extremely down to Earth and a young mother as well so very relatable. She is one of the reasons I really miss Boston--such great healthcare. Our daughter is only three and she's already had three different doctors with our moves but Dr. Day was easily the best. On the other plus side was location, this practice is located conveniently off of the MGH Charles T Stop and the waiting room was wonderful with a children's kitchen set and a big area for reading.

They were nothing short of amazed. They told me how Doctor Cohen was very welcoming and how the atmosphere really reflected a quality experience in the office. Doctor Cohen advised my mom with nothing but the best advice possible during her pregnancy. He was very welcoming and took his own personal time to return all her phone calls and get back to her with the information that she needed. In today's world, that is hard to come by; especially for a doctor. When I was born, I was told that he arrived at the hospital immediately to check me out, and examine me. As I grew and matured throughout they years, I went to Doctor Cohen every year for a very comprhensive physical consisting of proper growth and weight analysis, immunizations, blood tests, and booster shots. In my teens I developed a great relationship with Doctor Cohen. He became not only a doctor to me, but a great mentor, advisor, and friend. He always knew what I was doing, made me update him on my new accomplishments, and took the time after my appointments to chat with me about anything that I wanted to. He was so open, and provided valuable knowledge and guidance to me during this time. He truly does know his patients, and does not rely on notes for his memory, he is that good. I'm going to be 23 next month, and I am in graduate school. I love Doctor Cohen so much that he is STILL my primary care physician. I look forward to going to see Doctor Cohen every year and to talk to him every year about my life. He truly is one in a million doctors out there. If you have him, you are very lucky to have him your life. Now that I am probably going to the last appointment of life with him tomorrow, I will never loose touch with Doctor Cohen. I plan on dropping by his office, and talking to him in whatever ways I can. I don't want to loose such a great person in my life that helped me become who I am today.
