I've seen my doctor only twice in 4 years. He is never there. This office goes through a horrendous bureaucratic company called Atrius Health. They often double charge, and seem to offer no benefit, save perhaps a third party email exchange with caregivers. Currently I'm waiting for X-rays. I was told I had to come to the office to see my X-rays. They would not email them, nor put them on a thumb drive. Instead they burnt me a CD which I cannot use because it is only for a Windows OS. The place is legally overwrought, doctors are routinely unavailable, and overall unfriendly. I recommend going elsewhere.

About a week passed where I was still in pain... I went there, saw a specialist who...(really could use some bedside manor training) - told me I was too late, the problem should resolve on its own. For these delays, multiple visits and --- 0 relief in close to a month, I was charged over $800! I came to them seeking help, and they hurt me financially. I appealed to them that I should not be charged, certainly for the 0 value specialist visit. They told me to pound sand. Run, don't walk away from these money grubbing AHOLES.

Waiting room times are short, office staff is pleasant, nurses are bright and efficient, and the medical staff is exemplary. I trust my child's life to these people and have never been let down. I prefer a holistic approach to health as I think good nutrition, sleep, exercise are as important as medical intervention, if not more, and the doctors here seem to agree. I do not believe in the flu shot (for anyone) and while they advise to get it annually, they have never made it an issue. They have Saturday morning hours for sick child visits. When I have called outside of office hours the doctor-on-call has always returned my call well within a half hour. Have never had an issue with any kind of billing problems. Some of the wonderful Drs there 13 years ago have since retired, but the replacements are all top notch. Wish I could give more than 5 stars.

Frankly, as someone who has worked on the other side of a…read moremedical office counter, I think it's a bit silly for folks to expect to be seen immediately as if other patients aren't also due time and attention when their concerns or questions might run long, for doctors not to book out in advance, and to not have some patience with customer service folks. People are difficult to deal with, and these folks have to deal with many people who are not feeling well, who are often navigating a tangle of insurance and stressed out, and who are probably snapping at the CSR because of it. I always give the benefit of the doubt with customer service folks, especially in healthcare - it is NOT an easy job! And in my experience, I most often get what I give as far as how I am treated. As for my medical experiences, I've been an Acton Medical patient for almost my entire life, and I have had very solid experiences with them throughout - especially of late. Dr. Natalie Cohen has developed a solid and trusting doctor-patient relationship with me, making meaningful notes about our conversations so she can follow up next time, never making me feel like she is in a rush, asking about and making suggestions for the health of my whole self, and truly listening and making me feel like she is honestly invested in my well being. She's a rare breed these days when many other doctors have made me feel like they just needed to check off the boxes and get into the next exam room.

We found her by chance for my son's first surgical procedure 4 years ago, so it was a no brainer for us to go back to her again for his second. I always feel like "we got this" when we are in her presence. Matter of fact, we feel this way whenever we are at this location as a whole. The staff is really client focused, from minimal wait times, to check ins and last but not least, smiling. Smiling goes a long way in this field and I appreciate that they tapped into that. The model of having the first two months of my child's care from home was so comforting- it allowed me and my baby to stay in the home and rest and heal after delivery. Meg from Tova health handled all the admin stuff. She made scheduling, paperwork, and setting-up the patient portal super simple. When it was time to transition beyond the first two months of care, Dr. Z and Meg helped us find the best pediatrician and make sure they had all our records. Awesome experience! I experienced a traumatic birth. One of the better things to come out of it (besides my daughter)…read morewas meeting Dr. Z. I was not able to get out of bed for over a week after the birth, so our first meeting was with her sitting at the foot of my bed. Thank goodness we chose her for my daughter's pediatrician because there was no way I would have been able to take her to an office. I really needed the fourth trimester care to help me process the trauma from birth, and Dr. Z let me cry and repeat the story over and over again. I'll never forget the time she hugged me and promised me something good would come out of it. She was also provided excellent care to my daughter. I will never forget our crazy first meeting and her kindness. She listened and provided me care when my own OB/GYN's office failed to do so. It is absolutely ludicrous the postpartum care we receive. This fourth trimester care model should be mandatory everywhere.
