My daughter and I went in to look at communion dresses and veils. After…read morebeing shown some dresses (we were not allowed to touch the merchandise), my daughter had a few to try on. We were shown the "dressing room" - a small, blocked off area in the back of the store with no door (the owner's husband was walking around the store). The female owner told my daughter to take off her clothes and she would put the dresses on her. When I told the woman I would try them on my daughter, I was told I was not allowed to. When I tried again to be able to help my daughter, I was again told no as she (the owner) was careful with the dresses. When I objected again and said I would be careful touching the dresses and my daughter was private about her body I was again told no - I was not allowed to help my child try on the dresses. At this point my daughter was crying because the woman made her feel uncomfortable and as though she had done something wrong. We immediately left the store and took our business elsewhere. It was a very unfortunate experience my daughter was put through. What should have been a joyful experience was turned into an awful moment for my child. My daughter felt as though she had done something wrong and I had to explain it was the woman's shortcomings, and not my daughter's. We were fortunate to go to another store where we were treated wonderfully and my daughter found her dress. If Tokens of Affections were serious about treating customers well and wanting their business, they would see when they were making a child uncomfortable and do what they could to rectify the situation.

I am always searching for great fashion, at a price that will not break the bank. I felt like a kid in a candy store. Not only did this place have the exact style I was looking for, but I felt like I wanted to buy EVERYTHING THAT I SAW. I honestly cannot remember the last time I walked into a store and felt this way. I ended up trying on a few tops, and four dresses, and walked out with two dresses. This place has everything....clothes, shoes, accessories, jewelry, and all of it compliments one another. I was able to get some really great deals from their clearance rack, and their regular priced items were not terribly high either. The clerk was kind, and helpful when I asked for suggestions, the store is clean, bring and inviting, and the dressing room was luxurious! I will be adding more items to my closet from this place very soon!

I booked a haircut with Christina for Sunday, October 12th at 12:45 PM. I even confirmed the time twice with the woman who took the appointment over the phone because I live an hour away and needed an afternoon slot. She clearly said 12:45 PM, and I put it in my calendar the moment we hung up. I drove an hour on my only day off to be on time -- only to walk in and be met with attitude, rudeness, and complete blame-shifting. The staff insisted my appointment was at 10:45 AM, claimed I was late, and told me Christina had already left. Then they had the audacity to demand I pay a $170 "no-show" fee even though I ARRIVED at the exact time I was given. They claimed they "called me since 10 AM," yet I did not receive a single call, voicemail, or text. Nothing. Absolutely no attempt to reach me. When I calmly offered to stay and wait, they flat-out refused to accommodate me or even attempt to fix their own scheduling mistake. David and Sierra handled the situation with zero professionalism, zero empathy, and zero accountability. As someone who has worked in salons, I can confidently say I have never seen a business treat a client this poorly. Any reputable owner would have apologized and corrected the error -- not doubled down and forced a paying client to cover THEIR mistake. The entire experience felt like a scam. The customer service was horrifying. And the way they speak to people is beyond unacceptable. I will be telling everyone I know in the industry to avoid this salon. While helping a small business owner, the inventory she keeps is definitely worth the price. The overall experience is unmatched in the attention received by her. What we really liked is that she didn't push anything on us to buy. She showed us different outfits we missed to make sure that what my daughter picked was absolutely the dress she wanted. Joan is incredibly knowledgeable about all of her products. She spent as much time as we needed and didn't let us purchase anything until she absolutely knew she could have the wanted gown in stock in the time frame we gave her. They matched all the accessories for the christening gown that my daughter in law & the baby's godmother picked out. The bib, sweater, blanket, booties etc all match perfectly. There is so much to choose from. Even though there are many years until we have to plan a first communion, this is the place we will buying my granddaughter's communion gown. A great experience from the second we walked in until we walked out.
