I have been to Milk Jar Cafe twice this year and both times I was reminded of two things: how much I love it AND how good it is that I don't live closer. haha. I would be getting boba all the time! I typically like thai tea with a milk cap, but recently tried the black tea with boba and a milk cap and really loved it. The black tea is much less sweet than the Thai tea, so it balanced out the sweetness a little better. My sister got a strawberry oolong tea. I tried it and found it to be super refreshing! The inside of the shop is really cute and the staff is always really helpful as I go through the menu trying to choose my tea. I like to order different things each time since everything I have tried is sooo good. They also make the taro puree for their tea in house, which I LOVE. A reliable spot for my usual milk tea: black milk tea, 50% sugar, no boba! A great treat after some shopping in West Chester area. I almost dropped a star, though, because the ambiance was not great. This particular Milk Jar also serves poke bowls, so the prep area is messy looking and the area is not quite as sparkling as the Mason store. But, since I was there for the milk tea to-go and the service was friendly, we'll still call this a win and I'd recommend for to-go milk tea. read more

There is a light shining down from Heaven on this place. It is glorious. I am so excited that this has popped up in West Chester. I LOVE the one in Hyde Park but it is not convenient for me whatsoever! I accidentally found this when I saw the listing on the plaza sign and did a quick U Turn. When I walked in a very helpful lady greeted me. She warned me before I spent too much time that right now they only take cash and Venmo. She then asked if I had been there before and explained everything from their extensive menu. This knowledge was super helpful as it could be overwhelming. I ordered a Large Mango Matcha Milk tea with tapioca boba and strawberry popping. I also got a spicy tuna sushi bowl! Both tasted amazing and were a reasonable price! The tea even had pieces of actual mango in it! I have tried a lot of places for bubble tea and this place by far is my favorite! SO many different combinations. You can also get the sushi as a burrito! There is limited seating right now, so take out is best. Good bubble tea/boba is hard to find, but not here! Whenever I am in town, I have to stop by and grab a cup, or sometimes a couple cups, of their drinks heheh. I really like Milk Jar because they use real fruits and quality ingredients in their drinks. Their bubbles are made very well and just the right amount of chewy and sweet. I usually get their milk drinks with their egg pudding, but I recommend trying all of their drinks because they're all delicious and you're bound to find something you'll enjoy. Compared to many other places, Milk Jar is pretty decently price and sized. Especially for the taste and quality, it's worth every sip! My go to is their Mango Matcha latte, with egg pudding. Their Thai Tea is so very good and if you're looking for a fruit tea, I recommend their Strawberry Jasmine! Besides their slushie/blended drinks, you can customize ice, toppings, and sugar levels for mostly all the drinks. We also got their poke bowls for the first time this trip and just for the price, it was so worth! I got the shrimp bowl and their shrimp is marinated very well; it was a sweet sauce, like teriyaki almost. Toppings were fantastic, including hard boiled egg, edamame, and other veggies and fruits. Their sauces were delicious, I recommend their Yum Yum and House sauce! Also, if you buy a poke bowl, you get 20% off your boba drink order. There's plenty of parking in this plaza and thought the dining space is very small, to-go orders are pretty quick and easy to order. I do recommend being mindful of social distancing just because of how small their lobby area is. Also currently, it is cash or Venmo pay only fyi! They are tucked away in a strip mall off the main road, but easily accessible. I had the Strawberry Matcha Latte with Tapioca Boba & Strawberry Pop Boba. My husband got the Very Berry Fruir Tea, and our son got the Very Lemon Lime Fruit Tea. We all really liked our drinks. Our total was $17.49, which wasn't bad considering the quality of the drinks. Milk jar is one of the best boba places in Cincinnati hands down and well worth the higher cost in comparison to some of the other boba places. I love Boba Tea, and whenever there is a chance to buy it, I usually take advantage of it. In this case, I was heading home, and decided to give this place a try. I will honestly say, I was impressed. I was pleasantly surprised by a couple of things. The café was extremely clean, stylish and the selection of Boba tea offerings were plentiful. In fact, it took me a bit of time just to look through the list. I chose my go to flavor -- Taro Milk Tea, and received a "warning" from the friendly woman behind the counter. She told me they use the actual Taro root in the Taro Milk Tea. Although I had never tasted actual Taro Milk Tea using the real thing, I was happy to give it a go. The texture threw me for a loop, but after a quick stir, everything blended nicely and tasted amazing! So why only 4 stars? Their food offerings were pretty expensive, especially after purchasing the tea. I tried a "build a bowl" which I thought would be about $8-10. Unfortunately, it was more like $13 for a small portion of rice and other toppings. The shrimp, veggies and overall sauces tasted fine, but for $13, (plus the Boba tea), I had expected more. The shop was busy from the moment I entered to when I left, so I know others must love this place as well. I had the Thai iced tea with tapioca boba and it was delicious. A tad sweeter than I'd like, but Thai iced tea is always pretty sweet and they didn't have a lower sugar version. My order was ready within a few minutes despite how busy it was which was great. They have a pretty extensive menu as well, so I'm definitely curious to try some of the other flavors of boba they offer. I do like how this location offers food , the inside is clear and it's a clean and simple layout/design. This location is a little smaller than the original. The consistency of the drinks was off from the original location and what I'm use to. I always get the same things which are a Thai Milk Tea and an Oreo Milkie. The Milkie was good. This is their version of an Oreo Milkshake. It's just a little less thick than a milkshake. The Thai tea was way too sweet. After like two sips I was done with it. Somethings gone wrong here at this location on Tylersville over the last couple months I noticed a strange smell when first walking into the shop. I placed my order and went and used the restroom quickly only ti find it very dirty. Trash heaping out of the can, mirror splattered and soap from the dispenser all over the floor. Once out waiting for my order I noticed, all of the glass in front of the kitchen was completely smudged and very dirty.
