Really appreciate the warranty on the windows. Had a small slider that was "clouding". Was replaced with a new one. Thanks Milgard...

Came out and replaced windows in 45 minutes. Did a good job. Hope no more Milgard windows go bad.

The crew replaced a fogged 23-year-old window. They also replaced a couple of slider springs, even though that wasn't on the order. Good communication, showed up on time, and got the job done quickly! read more

Yesterday, we had an appointment for 11 windows to be replaced due to lost seals after over 20 years of service. Technician OMAR arrived and it was obvious from the first moment, he was the Milgard wizard. I was surprised he was alone (the job was large and a few of the windows were large | high-up). In short, we are extremely happy with the whole job from start to finish - Milgard is definitely getting our recommendation for handling you service needs new or old! - Shirley J, Lincoln, CA read more

They replaced my sliding glass doors bc the seals had broken in both. They replaced them with a 2 foot wide scratch on one of the doors and left without us inspecting. I called to have them come back out and haven't heard back.... read more

Can only file service request by online form, takes approximately a month to hear back, customer service online representatives are curt and unfriendly. Purchase your windows elsewhere! read more

The service representative was very efficient, professional, polite, and respectful. He did a great job.

I received one casement window with "globs" of silicone spread over the fins, frame channels and glass. Two vinyl picture windows had more than 1/4 inch extrusions at the corners, and in one window the fines were mismatched - as seen by the uneven hole patterns on the sides. One window also had the glass trim not set in place correctly. All should be fixable on-site, yet it's clear that this is a major product Quality release failure. I'm writing this review based on a Milgard email request to provide feedback on the on-site service request. My feedback is simple. No one ever contacted me or was on site. read more

Israel , the technician, was professional , knowledgeable and kind . Lifetime warranty was honored and I thank you .

Milgard completed a warranty service of our windows and they did an excellent job. Prompt and polite service technicians.

Our 2006 tract home was provided with Milgard vinyl windows and sliders. Overall, they have been very good: no leaks or condensation, outside noise is very muted, the windows operate easily and the glass is clear with little solar radiation coming in. In fact we often don't operate our A/C at all because the house just doesn't get that hot, thanks in part to the Milgard windows. Because we are the original owners of this house, the original full warranty applies to our windows as long as we own the house. So what's the reason for the 2-star rating? A Single Big Problem by the factory that is NOT seal leakage within the dual-pane assembly. A simple manufacturing defect that should never happen, but careless factory assembly has resulted in a predetermined outcome that eventually affects a certain percentage of Milgard windows. Here's why we have had to deal with the clunky warranty process. We have experienced the exhibit of iridescent colors on the outside surface of two windows at different times. This discoloration is visible from either side but is clearly located on the outside surface that is exposed to the elements. The first instance happened on a south-facing window in 2020. Only one of the horizontal sliding window pair was affected. The online warranty process was very slow--I allowed some leeway for the effects of Covid-19--but I finally got a local dealer involved to speed up the process. (This dealer acknowledged that they were aware of this kind of defect where an e-coating was located on the outside surface of Milgard windows.) Once the replacement window was manufactured, the first-floor installation took maybe 20 minutes total. I started paying attention to the thousands of Milgard windows in our development of hundreds of homes as I walked around the neighborhood. Here and there were examples of what appeared to be the same defect that affected our window: the iridescent colors that are clearly visible on some of the street-facing windows. Then a second window in our home in an east-facing location developed the same iridescent discoloration. Same clunky warranty process but the newly-manufactured replacement window finally arrived, this time with two guys who were going to install it. Before they removed the defective window, I attempted to discuss with them the fact that the iridescent discoloration was on the outside surface of the window where it was not supposed to be. At that point I don't think I have ever witnessed the speed with which one of the installers reacted to my statement; he whipped out a razor blade and proceeded to "show" me how the iridescent layer couldn't be scraped off the window, "proving" that the dual-pane assembly had lost it's seal, resulting in the discoloration. I've done some research on dual-pane windows with e-coating(s). Without getting into a lot of detail, this coating(s) is extremely thin--a nanometer or so--and should NEVER be located on the outside surface. This bond with the glass is extremely strong so that scraping it off isn't possible without damaging the glass. What appears to be going on is that the dual-pane sandwich assembly has, in the case of our window failures, been manufactured incorrectly or it has been installed by the factory inside-out within the frame, putting an e-coating on the outside where it is directly affected by the elements. To be clear, whether or not there is "seal leakage" on my defective windows, the iridescent discoloration is the result, NOT of seal leakage, but of the presence of an e-coating on the outside surface of the window where is was damaged by the sun and the elements. One of my neighbors now has three Milgard windows in her home that have this same defect: the e-coating has failed on the sun-and-weather-exposed outside surface of the window. Two homes built in 2006 with Milgard windows, now with a history of five total windows defective from the factory. Since this defect has existed from the beginning but took time and sun and weather exposure to be revealed, there could be more defects just waiting to be seen. This is all very unfortunate because otherwise, our Milgard windows have been very good. read more

We installed new milgard windows in our 90s house in the early 2000s. We've had a couple of issues and customer service quickly resolved them. Customer service reps were professional, efficient, and kind. And the techs were knowledgeable and funny. So glad we bought milgard windows!! read more

The installar was fantastic-very personable and knowledgeable. My whole experience with the company was outstanding.

We have now replaced all of the windows in our 3-story home with Milgard Windows and have always had great experience, starting with an in-law renovation over 10 years ago and then in the main house over the past 2 years. In the in-law unit, they have replaced discolored windows, honoring our Life Time Warranty, at their expense. We've had exceptional service starting with phone support to the technicians that do the actual replacement. Tim Mohammed Jr has been our last tech. He is not only efficient and able to explain the discoloration in detail, he gives us a heads up when he's on the way and is a very pleasant to deal with. Honestly, we need more people like Tim in the world, especially today. To us, this is a great reflection on Milgard and how they value not only their customers but also their own people. We couldn't be happier. read more

The front door is beautiful. We now hide a view to our garden which extends our living space. The downside is the French doors are finicky to close. The service technician told me it would take 6 to 7 months before the doors will mold in shape. I wish the sales people would have told me that before purchasing. It would avoid time (mine) and money (theirs) for service calls. read more

Expected the tech (Anthony) to be here between 9:45 and 11:45. He showed up at 9:48. I told him he was three minutes late. lol He replaced a 20 year old window (warranty) and was back in his truck by 10:00. Very professional and pleasant. So glad we have Milgard windows! read more

On time, fast and efficient. It would be better if milgard could schedule appointments with a shorter time frame for the wait.

If I could give a negative score, I would. I purchased Milgard's highest quality windows, V 400 Tuscany, for my whole home and every single window/screen had a problem. Glass was finished with uneven edges that Rep said is because "the kids who put them together don't care." When looking through the glass, the edges look like they've been chewed by a rat. Locks are difficult to engage - especially on the sliding glass door screen. Screens were shaped like hourglasses and didn't fit properly. Rep said Milgard buys their screens elsewhere and they can't control the quality. One screen had a 12-14" piece of mesh that was free-hanging (not captured under spline). I asked for recompense for all my trouble and was told that would negate the warranty. What a joke! I am VERY disappointed in this product and do NOT recommend. read more

In a time of cutbacks, layoffs, and scams, it's very refreshing to know there is still a company with integrity. That is Milgard personified. This is the 3rd time in 26 years that they have replaced my windows with broken seals. 5 of them this time. No arguments, nothing but cooperation even though my invoices are long lost. Thank you Milgard. Tim was courteous and professional and got the job done in half an hour. AMB, Pleasant Hill, California read more

Milgard Tuscany. The technician was here again today, and we are very disappointed with the results. Technician acted like the vinyl warping we experienced is normal and applied caulk to the areas. There is caulk smeared and is dripping in globs all over our windows frames, which looks terrible. The windows were left with black stuff (including hair) smeared all over the frames. Additionally, we still have not received a solution regarding other issues previously discussed with the warranty department, such as warping of the vinyl, and missing draft blocks. I will not be recommending Milgard to my brother who is remodeling his house. If this is not normal please reach out to let me know how this can be corrected. read more

Window change-out was smooth and seamless. After 22 years, one of the smaller single-hung windows had a seal leak.

Warranty service experience was excellent. Tech called to let me know he was on his way right during the time frame I was given. I had 3 windows, including fixed panels, that needed to be replaced (originally installed in 2002!). Tech was polite, kept the areas clean and was pretty fast too. The entire process was painless. read more

We live in a remote area so we have to wait months between our request and when the window get replaced, however, once you get a date, it all goes smoothly. Since our windows have lifetime warranties, it's worth the wait. Confirmation email arrives 2 days before the appointment date, and each time, our drivers arrive on time within the 2 hour time frame given. They have always been friendly, courteous, and very efficient. Great service! read more
