Can't say enough about Milford Ceramic Tile - I would never go anywhere else. After shopping around for tile for a backsplash, we went with Milford Ceramic Tile due to a great selection and friendly staff. When we were picking tile we were able to take samples home to see how they would look in our kitchen- something that was not offered at other places we have been to in the past (other places told us we would have to purchase the samples). After I installed the tile we went back for grout, and Gino was very helpful with picking out what would look the best. read more

I am certain I have the company right. My location on my profile is meaningless. I am reminded every day of the poor job that was done, and it's especially fun when contractors come in the house (like they did recently) and offer to fix the floor because it's obvious "you did this on the cheap". The floor isn't that old, and we spent thousands. I tried resolving the issue directly with Gino, and even wrote letters explaining how dissatisfied we were. I ordered $1500 worth of tile from these guys. The order weighed over 1200 lbs, and because of where I live, I went to the warehouse nearby to pick it up. The large order was palletized and looked to be in fine condition. There were 30 or 40 boxes of tile on this pallet, and nowhere to unload it at the warehouse to open and inspect each box. A forklift loaded the pallet into my pickup truck, and I took it immediately to my renovation site and opened the pallet - after unpacking, I found 1 box of tile where every tile in the box was broken. I took pictures of the box with the broken tile still sitting on the pallet where it was still taped to the other boxes and immediately sent them to Milford Tile. Gino contacted me and said, too bad, you accepted the tile from the shipper, we have no responsibility. I was willing to pay to have another box sent - but it was a $50 box of tile with another $100 in shipping (even though it cost about $150 to send the 1200 lb pallet). His idea of customer service is "sorry, read the fine print." My advice is, deal with a company that's willing to make sure you get your tile, intact, and a company that is interested in customer satisfaction. If you are unfortunate enough to order from this company, their expectation is that, at the time of delivery, unload the pallet, open every box of tile and remove each tile to inspect for breakage. Don't accept the order if anything is broken. read more

I ordered tile on March 10, which didn't ship until March 20. When I called and talked to Gino, he said it was due to a blizzard on the east coast and the warehouse had closed a couple of days. When it did ship though, the tile came from a warehouse in Houston, not on the east coast. Tile finally arrived on the 24th and was the complete wrong order - different tile, size, and color. I called and got vm so refused delivery. When I later got a hold of Gino, he was upset with me for declining delivery and said chances were, it was going to cost him more to ship back to the warehouse than the actual tile was worth (so I guess I was just supposed to have dealt with a bunch of useless tile sitting around?) He said new tile would be sent, but not until he "tracked down" the tile I had sent back. Four days later, I still hadn't heard anything and wrote an email to cancel the order. Gino called me moments later and told me the tile "had just shipped out". I asked for a tracking number and was put on hold only to be told it wasn't available in the system but assured me it had shipped. I finally got a tracking number, from the shipping company, on the 30th only to look it up and find it was "awaiting shipment at the fulfillment center" - still hadn't shipped! On April 4th, I still didn't have the tile and my contractor was being held up waiting on the tile to come in. I requested the $75 shipping fee I had paid be refunded. Gino refused and blamed everything on warehouse workers and the shipping company (not my problem). I called the shipping company and found my tile was sitting in a shipping yard, 30 minutes from my house but had not been unloaded and because it was a residential delivery, would need to be serviced by a 3rd party delivery company. I again contacted Gino, upset about the situation. He told me there must be trainees at the shipping company and someone "would get right back to me". Four hours later (dinner time), I got a text from the shipping company saying I could come pick the tile up myself. By this point, I just needed the tile and agreed to do so. The following morning, I drove there, waited 20 minutes while they searched for the tile, and then was told the tile had been sent for delivery as they were looking for it. They would "try their best" to get it to my house later afternoon/early evening. I drove the 30 minutes back to my house and again wrote Gino about the situation and again asked for my shipping money back. The tile was delivered that afternoon and Gino has never responded. I highly recommend you take your business elsewhere. Prices are nice but saving a few dollars on the order definitely cost me far more in time and frustration in the long run! read more

We recently gutted and redid our whole kitchen. We picked white cabinets, but when it came to the backsplash, I had no idea what I wanted. I had a great experience at Milford Ceramic Tile - professional service, fair pricing and efficient delivery of the tile. The store has a very wide selection of tiles and I was overwhelmed at first. Kara Jacobson was a huge help to me. She is very professional and a good listener. She helped me narrow down several choices for my backsplash. I was able to take samples home to see them against the cabinets and granite. This was extremely helpful. I found the store very clean and well organized, even though they have a lot of merchandise. The pricing was very fair, and we were able to get all our supplies in one store which was very convenient. I would highly recommend Milford Ceramic Tile to anyone looking for tile. Kara is very knowledgeable and a great resource for her customers. It is a family run business which gives the customers a totally different feel than going into a big store like Home Depot.
